  • Wow!

  • That was extremely short takeoff and landing

  • Like a prop plane taking off into the wind from an aircraft carrier.

  • They hold alot of STOL competitions up in AK. Yes, headwind is a big factor, but vortex generators on the leading edge of the wings play a huge part as well. I think most planes that participate have em.

  • As long as that headwind is nice and steady- could be bad if it slowed for second?

  • Gotta have HUGE balls to fly in Alaska!!

  • @madeforpron Take a look at how stupid your comment is.

  • @mowells not as dumb as yours

  • i bet that was a 40 knot headwind. That's not even close to possible in everyday flying.

  • PERFECT for those 50-foot long, 2,000-foot wide runways!

  • I've seen a Dragonfly ultralight touching down going backwards! Not safe, but quite doable.

  • Hell, I've seen a circuit done in a Cub in high winds where the pilot flew the downwind leg backwards.

  • Hey don't stop I will just jump out. Dang that was cool!

  • Super-STOL!

  • too easy with that headwind.....

  • The Cub is 22ft long so landing in one plane length is over 20', not 10'. Great landing to be spoiled by a untruthful post.

  • @Trollinista great video spoiled by a whiny comment.

  • @Trollinista Wooo hooo! you sure told him! That's and exaggeration of MORE THAN 100%!! Thanks for being a U Tube watch dog for us all!!

  • sexy

  • badass

  • A strong enough head wind, I took off almost vertical once in a challenger. We had a 34mph headwind.....

  • How is that possible - the headwind must be near take off speed??

  • @markmywords312 yeah the headwind must be 40mph+

  • @markmywords312 Bigger tires for more angle of attack, Longer prop to grab more air! And some head wind....

  • @markmywords312 you can tell it was very windy that day

  • three things make this possible. a good plane, good wind, and a good pilot. well done sir. one day i hope to fly in the mountains of alaska.

  • now thats a pilot

  • god i wish i could afford a super cub!

  • that is more than 10ft because the length of a super cub 22 ft 7 in (6.88 m) and he rolled more than the length on landing

  • @monboy10 Let it go. Take that ball of hate and release it.

  • @SoCalDualSport I did, now i own my neibor a new window

  • Thats just wild mang

i could land in my yard, i am done driving, saving up for this Toy

  • Looks like Knik Flats and about a 35 MPH Headwind. The wind blows like a bitc* over there. Used to be one of my favorite playgrounds when I lived up there.

  • he had to be above stall speed landing Vso I think its around 35 no flaps what is it with 20% flap

  • This has popped up several times here recently now... youtube.com/watch?v=q2-HRDsVk5Y

  • It is the wind that allows you to do things like this.

Looks like its going at 1-2 mph, but really its going like 22+

  • Slick, but there is a good head wind - 20+ knots by the way the dust is blowing.

  • That was a planecopter!! o.o

  • Does wind/air speed play a major factor?

  • @MrAdamJensen duh

  • @b1ackic3 Well a Sherpa doesn't need much more runway than this at around 31m with no airspeed assistance so it wasn't that much of strange question to ask how much the air speed contributed. But then again.. this is Youtube after all. I should know better.

  • ...Oh LL !!!, what will it be of the interwebs without u....
