  • ok, just to be clear, that first flip wasn't little mallard it was Elkhorn. The last runs there in Chittam... whooo. for any of your privates that want to run the Main in High water, do your homework on Elkhorn, Whiplash/Groundhog, and Chittam. Chittam is a NO GO. What was done in this video was fairly high but not super high water. Chittam kills people, so be very aware of it. Skirting it is the only run for inexperienced in Chittam. Skirt is to the right in Chittam in high water..

  • @lukebaugh224 what do you consider high water. I did a private in July and we were fine.

  • @Goldeye15 I would consider high water to be above 50k on the Main, using our White Bird gauge (sorry, not used to the corn cr. feet). Elkhorn is very long, and it's difficult to scope (the scout is on the left bank by the horns). You can, in high water, look deep down the rapid and see that large and infamous hole, created by a very large rock. That flip will not kill anyone, but it's avoidable. I would say that Chittam is very dangerous, and should be well understood. It has killed.

  • dangerous people

  • hey there im a river guide on the main salmon sweet video!

  • You people are seriously dangerous! Was the right sneak in Chittam just to obvious to you all? The flip in Elkhorn was stupid and you had kids on this trip. Please, your just a statistic waiting to happen in Idaho!

  • Hi there, do you know what level you were running? Or the dates, and we can figure it out from there? Thanks for posting.
