Is it just me or do you need to know loneliness in order to really appreciate this kind of music? but then I guess everyone knows how that feels, trapped inside our heads like we are. I just wonder what makes me appreciate this and not someone else.
How could a song with no message change your life? I like ambient music as much as the next geek, Stars of the Lid and Windy & Carl are two of my favorite bands, but outside of a specific mood, what can this style of art bring to your everyday world? I think you might have overreached a tad when posting your comment.
It like comparing a Pollock with Pierre-Auguste Renoir. And I didn't say only words can carry messages, I only hinted that I believe this particular song has none.
Let's not put words in my mouth just so you can call someone ignorant anonymously please, I'm not the reason you had a bad day.
@diedahero cross platform analogies in art is always booby trapped. the song is not abstract, there's just no words. orchestral music never changed any lives?
you must be the most condescending kid in your class...
Way to overlook my previous post that I only believed this is particular song, of zero progression, had no definable message and morphing that to fit whatever rant you think is witty.
And I am condescending, especially when dealing with hardheaded people who argue just to here their own voice rattle.
@diedahero i wasn't talking about your tenor towards me, i was talking about you questioning if a piece of art, 'abstract' or with 'progression' or 'definable message', could have changed someone's life. it's art, the entire point is subjectivity. you're a fucking idiot.
impressive picture..

@cursedlamp I guess we don't need lyrics to feel a song..we add our own in our minds..that's a difference.. :)
