I hear you, but what they mean is that this workout is tailor made to mimic the time constraints of an MMA fight. Three 5 minute rounds with a minute in between sets with lots of reps to build muscular endurance. This is what they mean, not that the workout alone will prepare you for an MMA fight. You are correct. This is but ONE part of a multi faceted approach encompassing lifting and conditioning exercises, technique, sparring, etc.
I dont see how this even closely mimics an MMA fight. In order to mimmic a true fight, you need to be sparing. Anything else is someone saying they're fit enough to fight, but too much of a puss to actually put on some gloves.
