Rayn, you know if you hold down Note Repeat while putting in the hihat it will do it for you right? I use to tap on the pad too, but I only tap now in REason but that will change too. make sure it's on the right notes like 1/16 1/16T you get the point. do your thing

I do know, but that's a form of quantizing, which makes your beat sound mechanical. I stay FAR away from it. Playing it by hand give the feeling that it's been played, so to speak.

Ok, I understand you. For me that's why I switch up the velocity levels in the MPC, so the Hihat never hits the same. so it will feel natural when I finish with it. I do all my drumming at the same time, not one by one so I use that technic and it comes out hot, and natural. You doing your thing, you make me wanna rhyme again lol but I know better and just to stay in the studo lol keep on the grind.
