Woodward wrote that the two al Qaeda agents the CIA knew were in the USA, al Mihdhar and al Hazmi, bought 10 airline tickets for 9/11, which could have been detected by a simple credit check.

The CIA warned Condi 5/30 and 7/10 of upcoming attacks. Cofer Black said "We did everything but pull the trigger to the gun we were holding to her head."

Bush hadn't been in office long enough to put into place the measures to protect this Nation from attack. Had he tried, these same liberals would've never allowed the Homeland Security Act or Patriot Act without a good reason. If anyone is to blame, it's the Clinton Admin for not having the balls to take out OBL when he had a chance. Wow, it's funny how the republican defenders who normally post on other subjects like greenhouse effect are not even saying anything about tenet's confessions. I guess they're in shock that they had some things wrong indeed about Iraq. Doesn't matter to me though, because government contractors made big bucks from this "war." LOL, money in my pocket from taxpayers like you.

In his up-and-coming book, "At the center of the storm", tenet writes:

Mr. Tenet expresses puzzlement that, since 2001, Al Qaeda has not sent "suicide bombers to cause chaos in a half-dozen American shopping malls on any given day."

I am puzzled too.
