Cyberlink Power Director 8 Tutorial

How do you convert video format using Power Director?

I personally like to edit my videos in Sony Vegas; but the format in which I download my files cannot open in Sony Vegas.

Since Power Director can open them, can someone tell me how to convert those files to MP4? (Or AVI or anything in that matter)?

@fishaman2 Please, clear me this: can i put 4 or more effects in the same time of a clip? i mean, in the 0:33 to 0:50 part of a clip can be there 4 or more effects (blur,bloom,bump map,color edge..). As far i get about PD seems like i only can put 1 or maybe 2 effects in a same time of a clip: 1 inside/over t clip and just 1 more on t effects track. (understand me: not asking about changing time effect=4 effects side by side in a same clip; not this; but a image with all 4 effects together on it

great tutoring, i'm having problems importing videos that i have downloaded from youtube to my cyberlink PD 8 keep telling me an error in video file.. and i have downloaded files as wmv, and flv still not woring.. what am I doing wrong? plz advise

@wafrom try changing the file to mpg. If that doesnt work then i dont understand why they wont upload!

Hello , i have a question if you dont mind . What do you have to do so that the background music in the main / chapter menue keeps playing even if you switch between them ? in my actual configuration the music starts from zero everytime i switch between the chapter pages or between main menue and chapter menu

ok whenever i want to make a black and white video i use the black an white effect but it starts out coler than goes to black and white and then at the end of the clip it turns color again!

@336699horselover i know its soo annoying. try changing the settings on your camera. and film in black and white. otherwise edit the video and make it black and white in a different editing program. and then import it back into power director :)

@kravtsov2 nooo cuz you will just copy what i do, and it will take all the fun away :) play around with it and stuff, watch other peoples mw2 intros and adapt them to your own :)

@Sinfull702x602 to add text, click on the speach bubble with the T in it. and then a menu will come up, have a click around to find how to move it. :)

Awsome tutorial, could you tell me how to clip out certain parts of 1 bnig video and make like a montage?

@beefaronin what i tend to do, is to drag the timeline to where you want to start or end the clip, then click the split button :)
