It's a different style, the F-35 has different lift-up system, it uses a prop + thrust vectoring to lift up which get it's energy from the engine, while Yak used pure jet engine to take of vertically. Both are great, but the Yak (I think) had an easier to product and maintain system. Too bad it never made into production.

The Yak-141 was originally designed by a Ukrainian that the Russians stole it from. The Russians couldn't figure out how to build the plane and make it work so they approached Lockheed after the Berlin wall fell. Lockheed financed the research and building of the Yak-141. It was presented at the Farnborough Airshow in '92 but the plane presented was built with Lockheed dollars. Lockheed was laready working on the F-35 when they were asked to help with the Yak-141.

Great to see they admire the Pilot for landing the plane. Read alot of those pilots requested a transfer or called in sick so they could skip the flight. Even complaints where made by pilots only to get diciplinared later, dont bad mouth the project!
ok can I bud in its not the Yak 141 but the engine and fly by wire, electrical system, etc. about 50% of the plane except fot the body, the armament, cock pit and instruments. But mostly the engines desing(which mean a drawing plans) that they paid alot of money for.
F-35 isn't really a copy, but Lockheed did have access to this project in the early 1990's. It would appear that the F-35 uses the same basic layout, but it uses a shaft-driven fan instead of dedicated lift-jets. Another key difference, the F-35 actually works because it can hover for more than 2 minutes without overheating.

Some are, some are not. Every machine has a weakness and usually there is a machine being developed to either fix or take advantage of that weakness. There is nothing that can fix your weakness however. Not until they find a way to do brain transplant.
Really you know the capabilities and/or specs for the new T-50? You don't even know the ones for the F-35 or F-22. All you say is opinion, based on videos and pictures you've seen on the net. There are three versions of F-35, two of which have nothing in common with this plane. The F-35B only has one thing in common which is the swivel nozzle, Yak didn't use a lift fan so it is hardly based on this plane.

The SU-47 will never get close enough to the F-22 to be in a dogfight. Simple heat seeking missles make the SU-47an easy target to lock on from a distance.

I know that normally the F-22 has an advantage when it comes to BVR against a non or semi stealth fighter. But remember that in Russia huge investments have been put in ECM. Their fighters are build with close combat in mind for a reason. Russian fighters aren't compromised when it comes to the structure and aerodynamics. Because that is a potential weak spot of a true stealth fighter like the F22. Great plane the F22 but it lacks close combat impuls.
The SU-47 could outmanoeuvre the F22 in every angle wich has not much to do with the afterburners because the F22 has a better PTWR. And both have 20 degrees TVC angle.
F22 in pitch alone though.
SU-47 aerodynamics are far superiour wich is key in close combat manoeuvring.
The SU-37 would already outmanoeuvre the F22. And that with 15 degrees pitch TVC angle compared to the 20 degrees pitch angle of the F22. The Sukhoi's superiour aerodynamics compensates the 5 degrees less pitch movement. The only thing the F22 has over the SU-37 in close combat is it's better PTWR when it comes to longer term banking manoeuvres.
First of all you can't compare prototype aircraft with aircraft that's already in service. Second it is not called "drastic angles that can be made of the afterburners" it is call trust vector control on Russian OVT and it is not afterburn. You can compare Su-35BM witch is called the Stealth hunter he is already in service and way better than F-22. Reasons ? Better maneuverability, anti-stealth radar technology greater speed and better aerodynamics. Aerodynamics can allow him tu fly 2.35Mach...!

Lockheed did pay royalties and copyright fees to use similar ideas for the F35, so it's not like they stole the idea - it was all done properly. shame Russia couldn't do it correctly themselves in the first place. But using 3 engines was a bit much when only one is sufficient...

I studied aerospace engineering at college ok.i know something about it ok,The yak contract and blueprint was bought by the US(Lockheed) and EU(EADS,BAE,CASA),after that they used the vertical lift used in the 141 but by using a single engine rather than a separate lift engine,I would say the only things that make the F-35 JSF apart are the design(appearance),stealth and the engine innovation.And the thrust vectoring was perfected by not the americans but the russians,Sukhoi 35 is an example

There are three versions of F-35, two of which have nothing in common with this plane. The F-35B only has one thing in common which is the swivel nozzle, Yak didn't use a lift fan so it is hardly based on this plane.

dragance....yes the SU-47 can out manuver the F-22 in a lot of angles. The reason for this being the drastic angles that can be made of the afterburners on the SU-47. Thats also a weekness. The SU-47 will never get close enough to the F-22 to be in a dogfight. Simple heat seeking missles make the SU-47an easy target to lock on from a distance.

I know that normally the F-22 has an advantage when it comes to BVR against a non or semi stealth fighter. But remember that in Russia huge investments have been put in ECM. Their fighters are build with close combat in mind for a reason. Russian fighters aren't compromised when it comes to the structure and aerodynamics. Because that is a potential weak spot of a true stealth fighter like the F22. Great plane the F22 but it lacks close combat impuls.

The SU-47 could outmanoeuvre the F22 in every angle wich has not much to do with the afterburners because the F22 has a better PTWR. And both have 20 degrees TVC angle.
F22 in pitch alone though.
SU-47 aerodynamics are far superiour wich is key in close combat manoeuvring.

The SU-37 would already outmanoeuvre the F22. And that with 15 degrees pitch TVC angle compared to the 20 degrees pitch angle of the F22. The Sukhoi's superiour aerodynamics compensates the 5 degrees less pitch movement. The only thing the F22 has over the SU-37 in close combat is it's better PTWR when it comes to longer term banking manoeuvres.

First of all you can't compare prototype aircraft with aircraft that's already in service. Second it is not called "drastic angles that can be made of the afterburners" it is call trust vector control on Russian OVT and it is not afterburn. You can compare Su-35BM witch is called the Stealth hunter he is already in service and way better than F-22. Reasons ? Better maneuverability, anti-stealth radar technology greater speed and better aerodynamics. Aerodynamics can allow him tu fly 2.35Mach...!

dude,the F-22 is beyond better than any air superior...the F-22 carry AIM-120 C that may aim and lock on target such as su-35b within 50Nm and can be launch in such the distance....the raptor also can goes for 9Gs,in fact it also can go for 15 Gs if the pilot manage to hold on in higher Gs....raptor also can go for dogfight with any fighter...thats why the Raptor is the best among the best....believe me...just an info to ya,seems that ur are learning.....

If you want to compare apples-to-apples, do it with the Su-T50.
F-22 can do a max of 9G to -3G. Whoever said 15G is an idiot.
Su-T50 pulls off 11G to -4.5G.
F-22 supercruises @ 1.8 mach & max speed @ 2.25 mach.
Su-T50 supercruises @ 1.8 mach & max speed @ 2.45 mach.
Read some technical papers before writing shit here.

It's a fine piece of technology, but in the end it's only that a piece of tech. And if it's built by humans it is sure to have flaws like any other machine. Lockheed did pay royalties and copyright fees to use similar ideas for the F35, so it's not like they stole the idea - it was all done properly. shame Russia couldn't do it correctly themselves in the first place. But using 3 engines was a bit much when only one is sufficient...
