@ronaldlbell i saw them a riverbend Cincinnati, OH in 2009 this dvd does not give justice to how out of this world that concert was, you literally leave the concert speechless, thats how awesome it is. i hope they tour again this year or maybe next year.
Wow a rare sight... Actual professional musicians that understand theory and energy and such. Now how does something like this take backseat to the "music" that we hear today?
Great post! I`m so glad that they are getting back to where they`ve started. The early EWF was produced by David Foster/Jerry hey which made Michael Jackson and other couple of hundred musicians famous and they are all in the Quincy Jones family who are the master of using the wind instruments. On the other hand, what makes Chicago great is the wind instruments and nothing more. This collaboration is like Chicago at Carnegie Hall which came out in 1971.
This music invites you to dance for hours and to forget about everything bad... This is so uplifting, yeah thats it.... UPLIFTING MUSIC FOR THE SOUL!!!!!!! Greetings from Guanajuato, Mexico!!!!
am i the only one that was begging for them to get a close up on the female background singer because she looks like she might have been fine as hell.
You can really see the style similarities between these two bands. They only seem to come from different backgrounds, but their sounds blend so seamlessly, it is a beautiful thing. Robert Lamm and Philip Bailiey are two of, if not the greatest voices of 70's music.

These 2 bands blend together so well . I always thought the brass was awesome and that was confirmed when I seen Chicago live . I can only imagine what it must have sounded like, live for this concert . Cause if it sounds this good on Youtube. You KNOW it was really REALLY awesome . Now to add just a little bit of fantasy to the mix.... The ONLY thing better, would have been adding Carlos Santana to this already awesome ,legendary lineup .
Maybe it's subjective... but todays music doesn't have the same pop as this. It's like there isn't really much heart in todays music. Two of my favorite horn bands. Kickin Brass daily!
WOW!!!! Fantastic combination!!!!!
