This stuff is really good and you guys definitely have your own sound. All I would suggest is that maybe you guys try playing this song with a different tempo. Most people dont know this but certain keys actually sound better at certain tempos, so when ever you write a progression don't just consider the notes. Consider the tempo as well. There is a mix from CSN & Y to Jefferson Airplane with a lot of Stephen Stills.

I like the voices like Fletwood Mac (Nicks, McVie and Buckingham).

Blues Guitar with distorsion and sustain is ok, Wha Wha too is good.

Hey, from this video I can see that you guys are really dedicated and have some decent talent.

Now you need a more ORIGINAL sound and try to go out of your comfort zone. With music, you never know what you're comfortable with and you never know what you're good at.

I mean hey look at me, I just performed Knights of Cydonia on guitar in front of 50 lawyers. i was scared to death but never knew that I could actually do that publicly until I pushed myself.

In my opinion I would recommend you change the recording levels.

Too much treble on the drums, get a mic near the base drum. Double the volume of the guitars and bass, they are far too quiet.

1. Leaves (album: Mirage, 1987)

2. Popskull (album: Forbidden Places, 1991)

3. No Longer Gone (album: Forbidden Places, 1991)

Just search Youtube, these songs are available. I cannot highly recommend these songs because the style and approach is similar to where you guys are at, but they also threw some other stuff in there that might be helpful, idea wise.
