the reason why this video car is called w12 is because the "w" engine configuration was made by siameseing 2 narrow angle v6's together. Since used W12 engines don't come cheap from wrecked Audi or Bentleys. . . . V6's are cheap and plentiful.

In my opinion this is still 'just' a car with two V6 engines. In fact, a W12 is an engine with just one crankshaft. And when you look at it from the front (and have some fantasy), you'll see that the cylinders will form a W. But still, this is one sick Lupo that's for sure! Kudos to the guys who have made this.

as it said in the mag clip, the 2 v6s (one rear and one front mounted) power the front and rear wheels off separate drivetrains, so it is a AWD

OMG that ist not a W12 Engine from VW Pheaton. The Lupo only has 2x 2.8 Liter V6 engines and not 2x 6.0 W12 engines. So the text W12 doesnt fit with the real engines!
