  • The world's first inertial navigation system...on one axis that is.

  • dont know why i gave this thumbs up but i did .

  • once it is rotating, what is it for?

  • make a small wings and he will fly

  • Wow . Impressive models !

  • lol the 4 who disliked it are the people who is jealous :))

  • It sounds like a steam engine to me or did the preasure make a hole in that sphere?

  • You can see that the tube is slowly moving towards the engine like a ninja

  • This thing is quite disturbing.

  • I nearly fell asleep at 1:48

but then its starts to make a sound and i don´t.

    Nice =)

  • I want to make one =D

  • 4:21 It acheived a gravitationnal field! Look at the seringe

  • Wow. That's awesome.

  • Very interesting- how is the team making that spin? Is it escaping along the perimeter through small holes?

  • where can i buy it ?

  • @larrylai92 Gyroscope . com

  • @gyroscopes every country can send too ?! about how much HKD

  • what is that fire fuel used ? alcohol ??

  • @larrylai92 yes alcohol

  • @gyroscopes thx your answer

  • It's OVER 9000 rmp !!!!

  • I like this

  • Now if you could get that top bit spinning so you could put a drive belt on it, then you woul be in buisness.

  • 3 users are nintendo wii stupidized

  • I wonder how you would clean it?

  • WEEEE ARREEE NOWWWW STARTTTING THE SUPER ULTRA STEAM POWERED PLASMA GENERATOR! ENTERING WARP SPEED!!

  • whoaaaaaaaaaaa its 194 dollars i'm out

  • @MacsCanfly Correction 194 euro...

  • @MacsCanfly Yeah its a little pricey and I dont think this is an accurate design according to Hero's description and other images Ive seen.

  • @MacsCanfly You could probably make one similar to this with a few simple tools and pieces of metal. That's what I'm going to try

  • el marco y el trabajo de las piezas me parae bien bonito se lleva tiempo y toma mucha velocidad pero como se logra el efecto saludos a los amigos de otros paises soy de Venezuela en que se puede utilizar o es solo para efectos demostrativos.

  • what would happen if you mounted the whole base on a ballbearing and just let it spin, would it spin the whole base? that would be wicked!

  • What a suspense. The twist at the end is great. I like these fast-paced movies.

  • could that do work

  • How fast does it spin, how much water did you put in it and for how long does it spin? Interesting little turbine there

  • a similar device was created during the days of the library of alexandria. i suspect many here know what happened to that (*sarcasm* thank god for religion)

  • what rpm is spinning?

  • @nikladking about 2500rpm

  • @gyroscopes awsome nice vid

  • It's make a cool centerpiece at Thanksgiving dinner!

  • are the holes where the steam exits on top or bottom?

  • is it spining?

  • @oscar2oo9 yes

  • What % of volume do you fill the ball to?

  • @ThisMansOpinion about 50%

  • If you mounted a small fan on top of the spinning shaft would it blow out the flame, or reach some equalibrium with a lower rpm?

  • Pretty Cool, Is it your design? I'm curious because the burner is to close to the boiler(not sure which flame envelope for alcohol). Might have been able to get away with fewer wicks and got more "bang for the Buck" or spin in this case per volume of fuel burned

  • where's the exhaust?

  • @sakurai143 Right on the side of the ball. On the equator

  • the syringe moves : )

  • how much RPM staff it?

  • @shockwave455 about 2500rpm

  • @gyroscopes can it run higher or it will locked if it higher than 2500rpm.

  • @gyroscopes really? i thought it would go much more...maybe you can perfect it with some really expensive bearings?or use water with some kind of additive to improve something?sugar, salt, any ideas?

I would like to have somthing like that to spend 3 hours just admiring it's wonderfulness :)

  • calcium

  • wow thats amazing!

  • the speed of that thing is bloody amazing o.o, you need to somehow get a reading of it's speed :D

  • awsome

  • Now, to make this into a giant robot...

  • 6:00 Cool :D

  • @Patryq215 counter-clockwise?

  • hey they need to make one of these so tat it can levitate on a magnetic field so theres no fretion

  • whoooww...

    how hot is it?

    and whats the speed?

  • wow !

    Wicked !

And really old .... But still wicked !!!

Have you checked how many rpm it develops ?

  • If you filled it up too much with water, would the centrifugal force make the water come out the holes?

  • No it stays in there.

  • @pow0006 the steam pressure would cause the water to stay inside in the shape of an hour glass on this figure

  • where can i get one of these?

  • All hail Heron!

  • very beautiful little engine

  • wasnt the hero like one of the very first steam engines

  • correct. The first.

  • yikes that's fast.

it seems to be a lot more powerful than Stirling engines. Is that strange?

  • seems like a wonderfully simple and sturdy design,

    what kind of pressure inside?

    and potential for power?

  • Its a roflcopter

  • what kind of flammable liquid did u use? since it did´nt show a flame i find it interesting

  • methylated spirit

  • How cool what you can do with steam I want one 2. Excellent job,

  • wow

    after cool down,it reverses!

  • that's just a video anomaly, to do with the frames-per-second the video is recorded at.

  • not really

as it cools down, pressure inside is low and sucks air in

that makes the whole thing reverses

  • nice! What kind of RPMs?

  • 2500rpm+

  • Cool.
