  • i live in asheville and me and my dad went there on halloween and he's pretty sure he saw her walking across the bridge...

  • Wow man. That was a spooky story dude. I got chills just listening to it.

  • Did you guys not say "helen come forth"?

  • dude. seriously. get over it. yeah, it's kinda creepy up there, but you gotta realize, you're in the MOUNTAINS. winds come up for no reason. or maybe the reason's bigger than you. maybe, just maybe, you're unique and different, just like everyone else that went to school here. i live right over the hill, don't worry, you were just trespassing, not being "haunted"

  • i love to ghost hunt

  • when I was 8...6 years ago....My big sister used to tell me stories of Helen's Bridge....Scared the living shit out of me....Still kinda does....Got her in trouble once because Once I got so scared I started to cry and my mom got pissed cause I was so scared I didn't want to close my eyes because I was afraid of what I might see when I re-open them....Didn't want to see helen....I picture a 50 yr. old Red Head with neck length hair and white gown wih white glowing eyes.SCARIER THEN A MOTHER FUCK

  • that fuckin scary yo

  • the first time i weant to that bridge i got kinda mad cause i got to look at the bridge but didn't get to get on it....plus there was a sign that said no trespassing!

Well...that same night i had called my best friend Hannah and i told her about the bridge and told her she could come with me in a week so go see it again...well we got there and i started freakin out because first: there was a little girls shoe on the mountain side.....2nd the gate was torn down and third the sign was gone! scary

  • I've been to that bridge to many times...Its kinda spooky. My favorite place to go when I was a child.

  • I live in asheville and Helen's bridge is a very uneasy place to be

  • I got one: My sister was on her way to feed a child... I was going to be hes uncle! But this day, the same day dies my grandma in a heart attack and my dad woke himself up (he wasn't home, he was working, nightshift) beacuse the room was more bright than erlier... He couldn't sleep so he called my mum, she said that my sister got a baby, and that she felt a little spiritual feeling in the room where we was, I had the same feeling! So, we thought that, that bright was my sisters babys angleguard!

  • major adrenaline rush!!!

  • my dad and i used to go to the bridge ALL THE TIME!i i think the bridge was rebuilt and that a couple versions of he story are that the girl was deathly ill and died or she died in the fire. also that she died on her b-day (helens or her own) or christmas, and it was on helens bday or the anniversary of her daughters death that she hung herself. it is incredibly spoooky. one of my friends mothers worked in the castle and people had been breaking in and stealing only coins. eerie

  • sorry for posting three times. Im an idiot.

  • My family actually owns Zealandia (and the property that Helen's bridge sits on) and I will be the first to testify that the place is spoooky. Ive never spent any time around the bridge- but our business is located in the "castle" and everyone that works there concedes that the place is haunted. Ive got stories and pictures apleny. Do not doubt the nature of this place. It is certainly haunted. Oh yeah! And buddy- thanks for trespassing on our land...

  • Thats Wild !

  • Living in the area, I can tell you that they have reconstructed that bridge. It looks as un-spooky as possible now. I have been up there several time, never actually gone up on the bridge, but always parked right underneath it. I've never experienced anything. It's a long running story for the area kids. I never even heard of a mansion until this. I always loved hanging out up there. We were kids looking for a rush. It's almost good to hear someone got something from it. Crazy, freaky energy!!

  • Cool... in baltimore at edgar allen poes grave on halloween there is always a rose placed on his grave, well you can sit outside the cemetery and no one has ever caught the person to place the rose on the grave on camera. Not a ghost story but still, just thought id let you know

  • ya, i heard of that, its really weird.. but then it's really cool, too. plus, if someone wanted to find out bad enough, the person would stop going there... or it might even be a ghost, but then again, no one is sure of anything about it. nice point though

  • Aren't you supposed to say, Helen where are you?

    just what I've heard here

  • I'm from asheville and they accually say your supposed to say "Helen Come Forth! Helen Come Forth! Helen Come Forth!"

    --Luke

p.s.-I've been there a few times and have more wierd occurences than regular ones!!! It's a very uneasy place to be!

  • Asheville is an interesting place.

  • I live in Boone now and go to school at ASU. However, I am from Asheville and visited Helen's bridge with friends once about 10 years ago. I can honestly say that there is something weird there. I am sensitive to various energies and I can tell you what we left in a hurry. It is a strange place. Having said that, the area on Zillicoa Street is probably even more haunted. Having Left the homewood building at night when I worked there once I can personally testify to that.

  • great story and the way sarah woke up at the exact same time is realy freaky =p

  • freaky!

  • nightmare on elm street music

  • FART!

  • i live nere thare

  • i have heard a lot about ghosts from the mountains of north carolina. never about helen's bridge though. very interesting. i am from northern new mexico. we are inundated with ghost stories, and the night time ghost hunting tours through the old town plaza.

  • you guys are playing with demons watch out. oh my be careful your playing with demons oh my your playing with demons demons demons demons demons be careful

  • Ok you guys are playing with Fire, Fire, Fire. you do not know what your getting yourselves into. because your not talking to helen your talking to demons. once a human being dies there dead to them its as if they never existed theres no conscience thought period. you playing with demons.

  • Hey buddy....you need some meds.

  • me too

  • cont... THen, that creepy feeling started. After 30 seconds, I heard the crying again, but this time it went on for about 15 seconds. CREEPY! I left that place, still with a huge headache, and to add to that, my neck started aching! WIERD! I don't know, I wouldn't go there at night, 'cause there is something there you don't want to mess with.

  • Nice to hear your story!

  • Hi,

I just went to Helen's bridge today by myself. Checked it out in full daytime. pretty walk. I had this extreme headache. just started all of a sudden. I missed the bridge at first'cause it was covered by the bushes. I thought I heard a high-pitched cry that last for about 5 seconds, but thought nothing of it 'cause I thought I had completely gone the wrong way. I found the bridge later and crawled under the thorn bush and stood on the bridge.

  • I work at Zelandia and have for over a year, never seen anything there but many of my co workers have felt or seen things that are unexplainable within the house!

  • where is it

    wheres the ghost

  • yea no shit!, where is it!? lol lame

  • sup yall big ben hear ive been there many times in my life and i always felt us easy but this last time i went i felt like there was something that just sucked the hope and love right out of u. although it was dark it felt like a cloak of black negative energy was all around me i felt pure terror and fear. it was not a good feeling . so to all the ghost hunters out there beware for u never know what lurks in the shadows of night.

  • Hey! Thanks for posting about your experience. I have been there twice, first time NOTHING happened. Recently I went up and we had a horrid experience, we beleive it may have been a non human entity. We are planning to go back and try to get more documentation.

  • im paranormal myself, and take this advise from me;

something, i dunno what the heck it is, wants you away from its home, dont go in the mansion unless u have a that girl with you, still, watch out..

  • Great story.

  • nice i want to go there o.o

  • i live in asheville, and i was up there a few days ago and i didnt feel anything till i went to my car to get my phone, i was there with 3 girls so i wasnt alone and well it felt like i was being watched lol scarey

  • i've been up to helens bridge many times, never seen anything or felt anything or anything..there aint nothing there

  • So quick to judge, you are!

  • way to scare the shit out of me!!!jk!! that was awesome!!!

  • Thanks, all of you!

  • Ive been up there several times if you follow the road under the bridge & go to the left, walk all the way up the hill, theres old steps that lead u down u can see parts of the old mansion u can follow a path & this takes you to the other side of the bridge its lined with bushes & Barbed wire u can also stand right next to the concrete structure by going into the woods to the left just before the bridge I have unexplainable pictures it was an expirience I'll never forget.

  • I actually never went near the mansion. I really wish I did now that I think about it. But I figured trespassing onto the bridge was enough law breakage for me. :P

  • it was great fun...I have tons of pictures...some with some very interesting stuff in them...unexplainable...maybe i should figure outa way to get them on here.

  • PLZ do!!! I'd love to see them!!!

  • camera the photo`s and tell about them!!!!!

  • Pretty cool.

  • yeah, i live in asheville. I drive up to the bridge every chance i get. its pretty interesting, the bridge just sort of connects nothing to nothing, it just pops out of the hillside. if you drive up the hill on the asheville side you can cut up a sideroad and get out and walk on the bridge. there used to be a gate that closes up the fence but someone took it off

  • GREAT story!!! Do you have any others? I am very into the paranormal as well...would love to hear more! =}

  • does anybody live in that mansion ? have u been in it?

  • Hmm Helen's Bridge my favorite I went up there last night actually! its an amazing site!!! anyone if you are ever up in Asheville go!

  • I totally believe in ghost i seen in since when i was young and i do seen ghost.

  • Good to hear from ya, man. If I end up in A-Ville when you're there I'd totally be down for that. I've been itching to go back to the bridge since making this vid.

  • Everytime I've heard that story it's given me the creeps, i wanna go ghost hunting!
