  • @StarlyDog I did not say that there was a language called Chinese, I said that there is a Chinese language called Cantonese. And technically, Central Asian people are a race, not Chinese specifically.

  • @vhghe Also Mandarin.

  • matt damon does a good job of making me hate him in this movie. who knew i could hate jason bourne

  • #OMG fіlm super watсh onlіne or download роор.su

  • what does he say there? at the end? what happens if ____________ Not to my guy.

  • @hypercarbon having direct contact with your guys would have its advantage

  • Look at this CRAP!

  • marty, a director of the people without one sensationalist or cheap note.

just saw Boxcar Bertha for the first time. he had to work with corman who must have driven him insane about budget, but marty managed to make a beautiful movie that's still relevant today.

  • USUALLY, WHAT WE DO, IN THIS COUNTRY, is one man brings the merchandise, and the other man pays him.

    No tickey, no laundry... LOL

  • "Not to my guy"

Martin Sheen is a fucking legend!!

  • yeah we know it's a remake assholes...if you like chinese version better, then why are you watching these clips??? jesus, just shut the fuck up and let the rest of us enjoy this.

  • remake of the hongkongers~ reli proud for that

  • amazing movie its great.

  • Remake of the chinese: Infernal Affair.

  • @Kiniko07

and your point being? it's the kind of story that can only be told with the particulars of a city and its ethnic and local color, as corruption in boston or its culture cannot be made into a blanket parallel of china, or vs. vsa.

  • this movie its amazing.

  • dammn leo looks alooot like my brother i mean its like copy and paste !

  • than i'm dying to meet your brother :P

  • I saw Infernal Affairs just the other day. Good movie, although i still prefer this version, its more entertaining. The Hong Kong movie just has the essentials, this one expands on it in almost every way. Granted they're both almost the same in structure, scenes and plot, but Scorcesse's version has better dialogue and more depth in character. It's probably just down to personal taste but i think The Departed was one of the rare remakes that actually justified its existence.

  • Well put. Although I think if one watches the original after he watches the remake, especially in another language, something important gets lost in the translation/dubbing. I say this from personal experiences watching foreign films that are dubbed in English. Often times important essence revolving around the characters and their culture gets lost in translation/dubbing.

  • I never watch live action movies dubbed, whatever the language may be. I was able to find a subtitled version here on youtube. Wouldn't have been able to stand watching it dubbed, too much of a disconnect between the actors and their voices. And your right, you lose a lot when the dialogue's been changed for lip synch and to communicate to a completely different culture. Another good point, since both films are so alike in plot, TD would've lost that novelty of been fresh if I'd seen IA first.

  • i like both but the original is more beastly while Departed just has better acting while original & Departed both had good thrills

  • better dialogue? do you speak Chinese? sorry- but as an American your opinion is biased towards this movie, and as an American i prefer this movie as well, however i know that may be in large part due to my cultural upbringing.

  • Thats true, and i'm British by the way but whatever lol, but you're right in that we as native english speakers and brought up in this culture respond to things differently than other people. I was merely comparing the subtitles in IA to the spoken word in TD and found TD to be more entertaining in regards to dialogue. However since I speak no Chinese I have no comprehension of the nuances of the language and thus can't compare it to my understanding of an English speaking film.

  • @BigSal51

    they speaking cantonese not chinese..

  • Cantonese is a chinese language, duh.

  • @BigSal51 thats interesting

  • on brehraff my cuntry, I most aporogize to you my ritto rewwow fren

  • Not many people wud agree with u on tht one

  • I think is an insult and negligence for them to take a Hongkong film(which is so much better then this one)and then cast asian actors who don't speack the language or even look the part of a true gangster. Everyone in HK will say "ya mo ga lun tchoa'

  • " They`re gonna chop me up an feed me to the poor!!!" - Billy Costigan

    LMFAO!!!!

  • ...you did watch the movie right? You know that was a question don't you? he asked the guy what he wanted then said, "do you want the to chop me up and feed me to tha poor? is that what you want?" great movie anyways.

  • Hey Monj!!! Goo fookyasewf , kay ? Yer just another "blackman in Boston".

  • lol wtf if they are chinese it would be a disgrace lol their chinese is freaking horrible we do understand what they mean but chinese dont use this kind of chinese word especially for gangster...

  • What a stinker...

  • Anyone know the song(exact name) where in the Chinese version SP Wong falls on the taxi. Or you can send it to me. Anyways Departed is alright should of had someone else be the characters except for Martin Sheen, Mark Wahlberg shoulda played the cop inside the organized crime.

  • why is the Cantonese like so horribly accented? did they pull retards off the street and carelessly cast them? or is this reality, like do those chinese-american gangs really speak Chinese like idiots?

  • lol WHERE do they pick up these asian actors? their chinese is HORRIBLE and they make the whole production look half polished.

  • i would like to watch the movie. anyone knows whixh account has it?

  • departed isn't crap its just infernal affairs is better

  • I love that movie! One of the best I've seen! Leo is so amazing in this!

  • This movie looks so guud!!! But where is my Mark?! *boehoe* :(

  • Jack Nicholson shouldn't be mob boss because his face is to funny. This remake thing is full of crap and who design a costume anyway!

  • Let me guess... you are asian and hate the fact that there's a western version of Wu jian dao? Get over it man... Both films are great.

  • I come from Hong Kong.I think that The Departed aslo great!but..so sorry that really many Hong Kong people don't like the western version. I understanded that the reason they hated it becoz The Departed without the deep meaning of Infernal Affairs and too many foul language. Sure, Scorcese do a great job to remake it that suit for western culture. Anyway, I think both of them are great film!I don't think this is a shit movie.

  • "The Departed" is a piece of shit movie. Can't believe how badly Scorcese screwed up the classic "infernal affairs".
