It was probably possible for the camera bloke to save that from happening. There was a few seconds before it went when he could of maybe put some weight on the rear and hold it down, and prevent it from rolling down the hill.

1. Know where you're going. It's OK to stop and look at the trail ahead. You would at least have picked the better line. 2. Why didn't you let off the brakes? At some point the fear of rolling over and over down a hill must be more scary than letting off the brakes and rolling down the hill.

@mengle2004 I love Land Cruisers... they don't roll, but you can drop them from a 240ft building onto concrete, drown then in the ocean for 5+ hours, torch the interior, drop a trailer on them, slam into a stone wall, hit them with a wrecking ball and abuse them for at least 400K miles... and they'll still drive home. Try that in a Jeep.

Maybe take the hint and get a real 4x4 after you roll twice on this easy stuff.

Important is to go straight down,, side rollover begins around 42 (depends on the setup), but if you go straight down you have more than 60deg.... and yeah, no braking...

when i started off-roading i was allways freaking scared when i was going down like that. it took me a lot of training to control the car in every situation but at the end it was worth it.you must allways be shure of what your doing or you can get injured...

No too hard of a roll...It can be fixed. Also the winch is way too big and set too high.  I mean it looks cool and all. But it cause the vehical to become front heavy. The bumber has tro go...that looks too heavy as well. Little things make a big difference on the trail. But all and all not too bad and a nice ruby you got there. I'd just fix it.. Got a JK and its dented :O) hey its a jeep....

Looks to me that his approach was wrong. He should have straightened it out, then went down the hill. I've also heard that disconnecting the sway bars helps prevent roll overs.

People are pretty smart when watching a video, but a lot of experienced wheelers would have done the same thing. It is a natural reaction to slam on the brakes to try to stop, or to stick an arm out to stop yourself from going over. In the heat of the moment, people just do it. i have gassed it out of a roll before, but i have also jammed the brakes at a bad time. Oh well. You should be a little more respectful. But I guess that doesn't matter in today's anonymous world.
