If I had made fallout3 , I would have left out the brotherhood of steel and instead created two opposing enclave factions, One faction lead by Eden working to continue the original plan of global genocide in order to recolonize the American continent with only pure strain humans,the Rebels consisting of conscious objectors deserted and formed an opposition group based in the pentagon basically taking the role of Lyons BOS, you would get the choice of which faction you side with.

I really hate it when games developers run around screaming about moral choices and then do this. The vast majority of games I've seen if they have evil options almost always force you to take on the bad guy or be the hero.

@GlacialCold BTW, if you drink the water tainted with FEV after installing Broken Steel then you die too because you were not born in the vault. Your father took you to the vault after your mother died and he gave up on Project Purity. This can be confirmed because Moriarty says he saw you and your dad long ago and also that Dr. Li is the first person you see while being born, and it would be impossible for her to be in Vault 101. Therefore you were born in the Capital Wasteland.

It's disappointing that the ending in FO3 is so linear. It's prequels had some sort of open ended decisions but all you can do here is help the BOS (until the end of broken steal where you have the random choice to be a massive douche)

FONV on the other hand is outstanding in this regard. You decide who wins. + its not so obvious who is evil. Even the NCR has questionable morals and the legion seem to do some good things.

Wouldn't something that eradicates all beings with mutations kill...everything? Static mutation is common and with the amount of radiation in the wasteland the mutation rate would be much higher than normal. Unless there is something I don't know or understand about the FEV Virus, this would have killed super mutants and Enclave members alike.
