yea judgment was the worst CV mistake ever!!! that is not CASTLEVANIA..BUT LORDS OF SHADOWS IT IS A TRUE CV i really loved,,most ppl dont realise that is it the genesis of castlevania story..like gabriel it is the original belmont,& it is well connected to lament of inocence,,there are many proof of that 1 is the epic fight against the forgotten one,wich you originaly see on lamment of inocence..& to me CV los it is indeed canon to the story..love gabriel belmont he is the father of all belmonts

I stumbled upon your video on gametrailers, and have followed you up to this point. I have some views I'd like to share with you but I'm not going to post them here. What I have to say is not negative, but I do share a common view with your final thought. I too love IGA's work but Castlevania needed a reboot. While I too remain hopeful that IGA will get to tell his "final" Castlevania story, speaking as a fan you have to keep an open mind if something you love is to stay alive.

@BanditRev0lver This is very true. I'm not giving up on the Lords of Shadow angle they're playing with, but I do wish they'd incorporate more of the older CV games into it to blend it better. Dave Cox kept saying it was going to be alot like Super Castlevania IV in feel and music, but that didn't really happen.

@sindaemon well...in part happen it truly feels more like cv4 rather than symphony of the night or others,,iknow lords of shadows is not perfect cz it still lacks many elements but it is a true CV experience..&gabriel truly feel like other classic belmonts

While I loved Lords of Shadow and was one of my favourite games of last year, I do

prefer the old 2D Castlevanias and it kind of sucks there hasn't been a proper one in nearly 3 years. I hope one shows up on 3DS sometime.

Really enjoyable trio of videos, you two. Some good history, excellent insight and views (I was yelling, "YES!" right along with you two), and a lot of fun to watch.

On a side note, I think being mauled by whatever is circling the floor of your couch would be preferable to suffering through playing Judgment...

I'm pretty sad that Konami has chosen not to honor the 25th anniversary of one of gaming greatest franchises.

I do think that the metroidvania style is played out, if they do decide to do another 2d style game I think a fresh approach is needed. Im a fan of lords of shadow too so I hope that for the consoles at least it should follow that format of gameplay. I guess I just prefer the more traditional action adventure game than the more rpg style the later title on the handhelds took.
