  • Love this! I'm doing it and works fine and doesn't cost me a fortune every year in organic seeds ;)

  • whats the difference between heirloom and open pollinated seeds?

  • let's see... my sense of heirloom is that they are seeds which have been passed down from generation to generation and have become very important to a certain climate or community. Open pollinated simply implies that the seeds you are using came from plants which were pollinated "out in the open" and in the midst of a "natural" ecosystem - (ie. not in laboratories)

  • Im reading John Jeavons how to grow more veges now. My new pinch involves finding a sustained medium for growing starters in. I dont want to use peat because its not sustained. Thanks a lot!
