Not a good technical vocalist? As a jazz singer she's well noted for her phrasing and ability to hold notes with fast and slow vibrato. She has a range of over 3 octaves and you can also see that she can carry out very complex runs, riffs and can scat very well. I can understand if you simply mean you don't like this style of video.

@calvy I think this type of video is very good, because it gives people the opportunity to see just how encyclopedic her vocal ability really is. She is like a walking textbook of female singing, and seems to know every trick, every technique almost by instinct, it really is uncanny. I wish we could just keep her on stage for the rest of her life and carry her food and water to her, because she seems to be happiest make heavenly delightful sound...she was born for this, absolutely born for it.

I agree! some people seem to forget that she knows what she is doing. she went to art school for several years, not to mention some of her vocal techniques dont typically come naturally, and as such needs to be taught. it would be nice if people gave her more credit for her ability! as you know she sings a lot of jazz standards, and jazz is by no means an easy genre to perform in! and she does an outstanding job of it!
