  • Supercub is imposible to fly

  • I use Clearview flight sim

  • ok this may sound stupid but can i use the water floater thing to take off in snow?

  • @jaggernutox Yes. I use mine on snow all the time. You can also buy cheap DuBro Park Flyer skis as well.

  • Apprentice is better than Super Cub. There's no point in starting with learning with rudder, and then learn aileron. Start with a 4-channel, so that you don't have to buy a new plane or go modifying a three-channel stupidity. Also, Apprentice is excellent at taking the beating. It has amazing firewall, solid motor shaft, and cheap parts. Apprentice's only weak point is the nose gear, but if you get a 2-3/4" foam wheels, you should be good. Buy an Apprentice, and you will never regret.

  • Flying off water is the most fun ever !!!!!! Step taxi it around and lift off from your own waves.

  • @earthling1984 Hey, I have the super cub lp what plane do you recommend after this? Thanks

  • what id you crash in the water?

  • where else could i get the super cub

  • What rc simulators are there and do you recommend using a simulator before getting a plane

  • @MrJstar123456 pheonix and real flight are both great. Yes, it is a good choice to fly on a sim before moving to real RC planes. This will help keep damage and costs of repairs down in the learning phase.

  • Real airplanes also have rudders and good pilots use a lot of it. I suggest the supper cub because newbies will crash and they can get parts at local hobby shops and talk to live people. Also adding ailerons is easy. However rudder needs to be on left stick or it does not help you.

  • People get a plane with ailerons. It will save you the time and money wasted on learning to fly with a rudder (which is stupid - ie: real aircraft have ailerons) and then buying an actual model airplane with ailerons, and having to start all over again to learn to really fly.

  • wow i tripped out i was watching the video where he was about to take off

i looked away and then time i looked back at the screen there was a plane in the air i was like wow omg nice sooo real looking!! it was a real plane arh

  • Don't forget the Hobbico Nexstar, or maybe that's a different class trainer?

  • Hey Thomas, correct me if I'm wrong. Wouldn't it be bad for a beginner to start with a puller plane? I mean, beginners can handle these planes but shouldn't train with these planes because they should expect crashes. Pusher planes will have the motor protected back behind...

  • @youronlycow not at all. Planes like the super cub and apprentice are pretty hard to 'nose in'. They hold them self up and almost fly themselves I would be amazed if that was a major problem for anyone.

  • Thanks for this vid dude. All because of you I purchased my very first plane...the super cub. I love it. It is soooo easy to fly. Great advice earthling.

  • @jeffreynevermind no problem! And I am so glad you are enjoying this hobby!

  • i added a better prop to my apprentice and i can hover/ prop hang with it so it can do pretty amazing stuff

  • @kondakor1998 cool! what prop size you get? I might have to try this hehe

  • @kondakor1998 i use a 3 blade prop but i forgot the specs and the plane isnt here but ill get you the specs soon plus i might try a 2 blade 11x8/279x203 prop

  • The supercub lp is the best

  • i been told the hobbyzone champ is a great starter plane

  • @GBKK99 yes, that is another great choice

  • CAN YOU PLEASE ANSWER THIS QUESTION: WHERE DID YOU BUY YOUR HEDGEHOGS?

  • looked like a 757

  • I love the super cub lp and cant wait to get the parkzone corsair I have a rc sim to BTW can you review the parkzone corsair

  • @hamsterwing Awesome, the corsair would be a great step up. Sadly I never got the corsair and I don't think I plan to anytime soon. Check out Joehandsome99's channel, he has a review of the plane!

  • I learned on a cub and 2yrs later it is still solid - everything is easy to repair (and man did I tank it when I was starting) and expandable. I moved to the Wild Hawk as 2nd plane - similar to AXN/Bixler. It's a good plane, but I do think it glitches a bit. Never tried to Apprentice, but eflite makes solid stuff. The champ is nice, but it's also to good to get a feel for a larger plane. Well done earthling.

  • Beginners please don't get a float plane! Both planes in vid are good beginner planes but floats are for more experienced pilots. Personally I would recomend an axn floater a bixler or similar. I learned the hard way by buying a "cool" plane.

  • Another evn more affodable option is the hobby zone champ. It's insanely durable and it costs 90 ready to go dsm2.

  • Thoroughly enjoyable video and very talented flying too - Bravo Sir!

  • @DOBM Thanks :)

  • I have a camp on a lake in Maine and i think the plane with the pontoons is defiantly a good choice. i bet the guy down the lake that has a real pontoon plane would get a kick out of it. Thanks for the vid

  • So let me ask you, what'd you do when you crash and bent the motor shaft?

  • @youronlycow never happened to me, this plane lands so easy, but if you do, then get a new motor and keep flying...

  • @youronlycow I used to replace the shafts with cheap drills works perfect

  • @youronlycow get a new motor, It's only happened to me once but easiest solution was to get a new motor, some motors you can replace the shaft alone but usually its easiest just to get a new motor. (and if your comfortable flying get a bigger one, hehehehe.)

  • the best starter plane is the AXN Floater Jet.

  • @masonkim7 doesn't look bad, but with those type of products u also get low quality foam and low quality electronics. I've owned many low quality planes/helis, and I can say none of them have flown more then 10 flights on stock electronics before some type of failure occured. The supercub and other quality planes I own; however, have 100's of flights on them, and they are still going strong like new. So the decision is go cheap, and hope it lasts, or get quality to start with.

  • @earthling1984 Thats Right Bro... I Been Into R/C Planes For Little Over 10 Years.. I Buy My Planes In Kits. Build Them. & Motors & Electronics Are Name Brand Also.. Never Had A Problem With Any Of My Planes Or Other Stuff. "Tower Hobbies" Is Where I Get All My Stuff From. I Get Quality Service & Quality Items I Order. I Stay Away From These Hobby Shops On Line..!! I've Got The Blade MSR & Just Keep Buying Parts For It.. & I Fly Over Grass. As A First Plane, I'd Go With something cheep & See.

  • @masonkim7 I learnt on the hobbyzone super cub and bought the AXN just recently. Cant Wait to fly it :D

  • your the best person in the world with loads of reptiles and master at flying rc choppers and planes

  • i love my apprentice

  • @N4161X awesome, glad your enjoying the plane! I use it to train my friends on the buddybox. Every person whos tried it has been able to fly it within minutes. Of course I still do the landings, since that is the part of flight that could cause damage, but they could fly it good within minutes in the air.

  • easy star and clones,

    /thread

  • if you're getting into it cheap, the wild hawk from nitroplanes . com is much better. entirely rtf with 2.4, and has the motor/prop in the back so it can be nose-dived as much as you want without issues. and it's only maybe $100

  • @spazman13579 Those could work, but for $50 more you could get a supercub which is much higher quality.

  • @earthling1984 The wild hawk has a brushless setup as the supercub doesn't, and there is no real quality difference. ive used both when i was getting into the hobby and eventually sold my supercub as i liked the hawk much better. is can also be upgraded easier, has ailerons pre-installed, and is extremely easy to repair. you're mostly paying for a brand name when you go for the supercub or apprentice

  • Do a video on the hardest plane you have to fly

  • @suza1103 well I have videos on most my planes, but I could maybe discuss the topic with some demonstrations. But really, 3D planes are considered hard to fly, so are jets; however, if they are setup correctly and the pilot knows what he is doing, then they are just as easy as the supercub.

  • ya i went with the cub and even got floats

  • @BunnyHairedKid awesome, good choice, have fun flying!

  • @BunnyHairedKid alright thanks u too

  • Can you make a video of the other plain flying?

  • @Beadeddragonboy09 sure I will try to do that soon.

  • i love your hedgehog vids can u make any more?

  • The hangar 9 alpha 40 ( and a instructor ) taught me how to fly ( on the buddy box )

now i fly planes like the hangar 9 twist 40. When you think about it......as long as your on a buddy box your fine.

  • Funny you had both of these planes in this video! My friend has owned his super cub LP for 2 years now and he is moving up to the E-flite apprentice soon!

  • @pimpinpenz awesome, hope he gets it soon! he's had plenty of practice it sounds like on the supercub, time to move up!

  • i would love to have one of 'em

  • hehe hoversz!!

  • wow both ur planes and animals are expencive u ust be rich

  • Or he just knows how to budget his money…?

  • Great vid as usual. I love flying the supercub but I'd like to have the apprentice in my hangar for sure !

  • @banjolowe I hope you get one soon :) it is a perfect step up from the supercub!

  • @banjolowe :) hope you get one soon!
