SOLUTION: Tend Skin will eliminate razor burn and inflammation/bumps. TendSkin.com. Also available at BedBath&Beyond. You can even use a razor, the type of shaver does not matter.
@stanis3k I love the wahls. It doesn't get me as close a blade though. I took a two week break from shaving with a razor over Chirstmas and New Years. I used the wahls shaver to keep from getting all woolly. I had a pretty good looking and easy 5 o'clock shadow look going on with it.
@stanis3k The Buff Puff is getting harder and harder to fine these days. Most places are selling cheaper made, inferior knock offs that don't work as well or last as long. You are just going to look around your area, or purchase online from amazon.com
You can tell he knows what he is doing by his skin. He keeps it clean and shaves 1 stroke at a time never going over the same spot twice to prevent razor bumps. The products he uses is a trial and error thing, everyone's skin reacts differently to various products. And he works out lol I notice a lot of bald guys work out. Good vid thumbs up
@mrtuffbody tHANKS ALOT BRO ONE MORE QUESTION WHAT SOAP DO U USE BCUZ THE BUFF PUFF i HAVE SAID NOT TO USE SOAP WITH ALPHA HYDROXYS ALONG WITH THE BUFF PUFF eaither one or the other bcuz it cud over exfoliate the skin
@NotGangster100 I use a soap called Avalon Organics coQ10. It has a well known alpha hydroxy (critic acid) in it. Love the stuff and use it just about daily with the buff puff. I've never had a problem with it or the Noxzema I was using before I started with this fancy soap. Sounds like the puff buff folks are doing a little legal CYA, so the only thing I can tell you is using a soap with alpha hydroxy and the buff puff isn't a concern for me at all.
@mrtuffbody I got the buf puff today but they come in different textures gentle, regular and extra gentle but not all are for exfoliating I got the gentle and regular which one do u have ?
@NotGangster100 I use the regular buff puff. With constant use it loses more and more of it's ability to exfoliate. Some where just before it starts feeling like any ole plain rag is when I buy a new one.
this helped man, im in the military and it sucked, the drill Sargent, called the ones with the razor bumps his thin skinned motherfu*kers lol i dont want to get a shaving profile neither this is something i want to know how to do properly
hey I'm 18 and I've suffered from razor bumps for a very long time. I recently saw your videos today and I'm going to try shaving one more time. My question to you is, how much force exactly do you use when pressing the razor against your face?
@killblade37 About the same amount of pressure you use to put on the shaving cream. Shouldn't be so heavy that you distort the skin and not so light that you loose contact with the skin.
You Have Very Good Tips and I will recommend this video to anyone that wants to shave their beard. I love my beard though!! make a video for Shaving A Black mans head... I always get bumps in the back of my head. Thanks.
@lesleyhenriquez Lather is a myth, shaving gels have no lather and are just as good as cream. Lather just makes soaps LOOK better, they don't do anything.
but seriously this video encouraged me, i dont take my shaving this seriously, but im thinking i shud now... i have tiny razor bumbs right above adams apple that dont wanna leave... maybe i shud shave more professionally
If im shaving everyday i noticed that when i go over the skin once with the razor i dont get razor burns. So thanks MrTuffbody:) even though im not black that really helped:)
@BruceLee2343 Your right in a way, but working men like myself need to always keep up a smart appearance. If we turn upto work with a stubble, we can say goodbye to that high-paid job lol!
@BruceLee2343 Easy BruceLee. Keep those nunchunks in your pocket man. It would have been more politically correct for me to call this series "how to shave your nappy beard without jacking your face up with razor bumps" but I didn't. Don't read anything into it. Just accept it. It is what it is.
I normally don't chime in and give my opinions about anything, but as a person that has suffered with razor bumps forever I thought I'd better let others know i tried this method and I am totally bump free!!! After trying every technique know to man....YOURS WORKS!!! I buff puff in the morning and then at night just to keep skin clean and prevent hair from possibly lodging in skin. Your shaving technique is what made the difference in my face being baby smooth. Thousand thanks.
@Infinitiblessed I was using a Schick Quattro when I made this videos. Since then I've up graded to the Schick Hydro with 5 blades. It's the smoothest I've ever used. One stroke and the hair is gone.
I had a bad experience over 20 years ago with a razor. However, I am in my late 40s and am tired of the Magic Shave stuff. I am going to give it a go again with a razor using your method.
I stopped using razors long ago because I would always get razor bumps and have been using electric razors for years. I'm sure I was not shaving in the correct manner though. I'm going to try using a razor again but in the correct fashion and see if he helps. Thanks a lot.
you look like Ken foree, the actor, famous for his role in the original dawn of the dead movie, the one cop and thats a compliment cause he's awesome.
Great advice, my brotha ! Since viewing your video, I went out and bought the "Buff Puff" and the gel shave called Bump Patrol. I also bought the new Gillette Pro-Glide razor and the C0Q10 facial wash. I used these products last night during my shaving 'ritual' (i.e. hot shower first, then shave). WORKED GREAT! I don't shave against the grain anymore to get a close shave and that means no more bumps!!
@Quisquellano26 They actually only give you 15 seconds and a dull bayonet in basic training. After that its up to you. Just kidding man. I take a whole four minutes six days a week.
@Quisquellano26 Your talkin about bootcamp man, but after boot life in the military is just like a regular job, except you usually gotta be at work at 6am, but you still get to live on your own so ofcourse hed have time to do this in the morning as he gets ready for work.
@RoadblockTDX Only one way to get rid of bumps once you get them. You have to let it grow out. Once your bumps are gone shaving like this we keep you from getting them. I shave six days a week. I won't recommend you skip more than one day.
@ricecubsf I have a different technique for my head and I only shave it every three or four days. Maybe someday I will take the time to make a video demo of it.

Good shave has proper lather, not some can.
For all the straight black men I also suggest you get a double edge. Better shave at a far better price.
