love your tutorials .. so well explained.. could u help me tho plz.. i sync my vocals no problem but when i save its in wave which is a massive file.. so if i want 2 load 3 or 4 30 sec clips in my project its 150mb+ .. is there any way to save in other format (lower file size) or any ideas similar?? thanx in advance

@MegaKuniva that technology isn't available. you will almost never get a clean acapella from a full song.

@MegaKuniva you can usually find some clean acapellas on youtube just use a video to audio converter to download it to your computer then drag it into fruity loops

Ok, so when I normally have a sample, when I drag it, it'll just cut off pieces of the sample.

Sometimes when I drag the edges, it'll resize the sample.

When do I get one or the other, I don't seem to get it.

find the bpm to the original song of acapella, set the bpm as that and add an instrumental of same bpm (or change bpm of instrumental) n make sure the lyrics are on beat, its not hard.

Easiest method... Get an acapella... get the original... stretch the original so the drums match your beat, then stretch the acapella to match the original... finally delete the original song.. and you have a perfectly matched tempo, set to pro default and your done.

These Instructions DO WORK... IF on step 7, right click the autodetect and choose THE ORIGINAL TEMPO of the acapella. NOT the project tempo!!!

Then of course you should manually match the downbeat of the acapella with the first beat of the bar.

For those who don't want to listen to 22 minutes of this dude fucking babble.

1) Load acapella into Edison

3) Fill in Tempo information on Edison by right clicking on the title to the right

5) Save & drag new sample to playlist

6) Open Channel Settings for audio clip

7) Time Stretching - Time knob - right click, autodetect

You can now change your tempo of the song.

8) Change mode to Pro default to fix pitch.

I just saved you 22 minutes of your life.

I'm going to go shoot myself now.

Just get Virtual DJ that program tells you the bpm of any song and to get the acapella at the same time as the beat use the non acapella first en put it at the same time as the beat then youll hear the original beats than put the acapella over it and delete the non acapella. Finished :)

hmmm? i'm not too sure. my best guess would just be to increase the pitch because from what i know by doing this tutorial, the acapella will still be on beat. i never did it before so i'm stomped on that one but like how most people learn fl studio...trail and error my friend. so get some snacks and make sure no one is going to bother you cause it may take a while or not. i'll try something later on to see if i can figure somethin out though.

I have the problem, I cant sync Acapella! Instead of 84BPM and 2 snares, I gave 168BPM(2x84BPM) with only 1 snare in the middle. When I put acapella on autodetect@Time stretching, it starts singing like a chipmunk. Any solutions ??
