  • Webster Rules!!!.. the others too ROCK!!! \,,/

  • Ron Jarzombek can play all Dream Theater songs.Using only his dick!!!

    If you think so,Thumbs Up!

  • @MRkofteburger why am I first to thumbs up? fuck yeah he can

  • @MRkofteburger Ive been a fan of Ron way before the Blotted Science stuff, and I adore his music. I dont want to watch him play a guitar with his penis though. Seriously, no thanks.

  • At least Ron is having fun, that indique me that he has a soul.

  • corpsegrinder should do the vox.

  • Damn that drummer is a fucking beast.

  • whoa i never knew alex had a side project

  • My top bass influences: (And some of the best \m/)

us out we would truly truly appreciate it, all we are trying to

do is get our sound out there and hopefully live our dreams,

from the bottom of our hearts thank you so much for the opportunity.

    Desde Mexico saludos.

  • this is fucking awsome!!people buy the cd .is espectacular!!

  • ....holy shi.. That's INCREDIBLE!!!!! \m/

  • Did that guy in the comments really say that Blotted Science is shit and that he's brilliant?...

    XD XD XD XD

  • @robbedofsoul you obviously don't have a clue who you're seeing here. And this is great.

  • @redefn199 I know who I'm seeing here, I'm seeing Blotted Science, it says clearly in the title, and I conclude that metal is absolute and shit as is this awfully crap metal band. I'm brilliant, these guys are shit.

  • @robbedofsoul nah.

  • @robbedofsoul

You sir, are an idiot. I bet you're one of those people who only likes one type of music and doesn't bother with anything else. These guys are massively innovating metal geniuses and you just go "this is shit". Shut up.

  • @Mordain607 I'm not an idiot, quite the opposite thank you. And no I like various genres of music, I just conclude that metal is a complete waste of the sound it produces, and that anyone who opposes my view, is just as shit as this shitty music.

And if you would re-read my comment, it clearly says more than just, 'This is shit' it mentions their, shitty hair, and a suggestion to not engage in this shitty music.

    Good day. Idiot.

  • @robbedofsoul

Ah, yes, as only a genius would disregard a extremely wide, important genre of music completely, and base their opinion of a band on hairstyles.

Metal has just as much merit as any other genre, and this metal especially. It is a creative experiment fusing together the ideology and compositional style of metal and the aleatoric classical composers of the 20th century.

Also, yeah, everyone who likes metal is an idiot. Could you say ANYTHING more retarded? I seriously doubt it.

  • @robbedofsoul And if you are serious with your comments, you are just one thing: Intolerant. Which is not a sign of intelligence. Calling people idiots also does not make you look too smart.

Apart from that, you have no right to decide what music is good and what is not, should stick to your own music, and learn how to behave.

  • @robbedofsoul Says the fucking dumb cunt that favourited a Kooks video.

  • @robbedofsoul Hey, I have a really bad joke, Yes, you have indeed been robbed of soul ^^

Nevermind.. Blotted Science kills. Jarzombek and Webster hold your buttcheeks and tear you in half, fuck face. I know you're ugly, had a rough childhood and have hair loss and shit. So you want to rip on the GOD of Progressive, Ron, and one of the fucking greatest bassists of death, ALEX FUCKING WEBSTER. YOU IGNORANT FUCK.,

  • @robbedofsoul I'd be willing to wager that you'd never say any of this directly to anyone's face, like the weak coward you are. But thankfully for you there are comment sections on websites where you can, behind the safety of your computer monitor, sling insults at grown adults without having to face any type of consequence. People like you are a cancer of the planet, and you should remain quarantined to your mother's basement where you belong. Pussy.

  • @MrMadhatter17 YYYYEEESSSS I love this comment total smackdown to internet tough guys everywhere. Learn to stay where you belong... in your moms basement. Bravo sir best comment I've seen all week!!!

  • @robbedofsoul because physical appearance has anything to do with the music? You're are an idiot, and not quite the opposite thank you, Mr. Asshole. Your unequivocal reasoning is fantastic.... yea. The music itself is far more complex than probably the majority of the music that you listen to and for that matter popular; these guys are applying great deals of theory to form essentially contemporary classical music in the eye's of one who likes metal, and although you may dislike the dissonance

  • @robbedofsoul and the harsh tonality in general, an individual possibly a little more intelligent would be more open-minded and definitely less opinionated, for how does one learn and progress if you're mind is so closed to asshole-ism? Yokay genius boy.

  • Listen i'm not gonna tell you your a fag, or your a hypocrite, or your an imbecile for not liking a genre of music.

Your entitled to an idiotic, uninformed opinion. You can say it's shit, does it make it right? no, your opinions aren't fact.

You absolutely discredit them for not wanting to make simply stupid chord progressions and cliches that music is overcome with. You aren't able to play nor think like them, you are just spewing hatred towards something that has no pertinence in your life.

  • @robbedofsoul ill gibe you a grand if you can play any of their songs perfectly. which you cant do clearly.

  • 8 string guitar? neck seems huge

  • @HarvesterofSorrow316

nope seven tuned to drop A i believe

  • Petrucci has his steel leg rests, Ron only needs a cooler. Fuck yeah!

  • X

That kid is a 14 year old guitar virtuoso, let’s keep talent alive by making this go viral. That is how many of these days so called artists became well known, let’s make this kid famous.

  • 9 people are retards

  • Zeleny is 7 drummers in one

  • I love the drummers Led Zeppelin shirt. It's great to see someone in the metal genre showin respect for the classics. Blotted science is Great!

  • bad audio.... but great band!!!! (Y)

  • Shame about the change in quality to crap! (sound wise)

Ron is an alien- i know- i've met him and saw first hand ;)

  • I watched this video just to see if they are actually human...conclusion: THEY'RE NOT

  • So bad ass

  • this is so tits. ive been listening to ron play for literally like the whole day and I have a song playing through my head. i think it's original, so i whistled each note and matched it up to my guitar. now i think i wrote an original song lol. i'll post it in a few days

  • Correct me if im wrong, but i noticed zeleny speeds up at some part

  • I am SO excited about Hannes Grossmann joining as the new drummer. Nothing against Mr. Zeleny, of course. I have just always been a huge fan Hannes' style and approach.

  • fucking great :D

  • I can see unified and tight playing, sadley the mix and overall tone is quite piss poor however mixing these guys live with at least a medium sized tri-amped pa (or decent line array) would easily allow the listener to hear the actual talent going on here.

  • MUSICIANS UNITE!!! STOP FIGHTING OVER MUSIC!!!

  • Time to lock myself in my room with only a metronome, a guitar, and some coffee.....

  • Who could dislike? My only dislike is that I couldn't be present to get my face melted.

  • Comment removed

  • Here's my cover of this song, thanks for watching guys !

    youtube.com/watch?v=ldn7nJwE0Do

  • I think it would have been cool to have more rhythmic contrast. Like when it switches from 3-3-2-2 to 3-2-3-2 at 2:42, if the drums had stayed with the 3-3-2-2. Or maybe even extended it to a longer meter like 3-3-3-3-2-2-2-2. But I guess at that point you're treading on Meshuggah's toes...oh well, awesome song anyway!

  • @NorrisChuckling Stop trying to belittle idiots like me, whose heads get fucked entirely by this music enough already =P

  • @NorrisChuckling

    Give it a rest, dude.

  • Excelente su disco "Machinations Of Dementia"... es el unico que tienen? quiero mas mas mas metal mas mas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P son muy buenos capos

  • Maximum levels of awesomeness have been reached. Please stand by for the brain to explode.

  • this is just AWESOME! thats really creative shit! progressive metal rules XD

  • what head is alex using in this video? that's not the headlite he uses now

  • if you guys dont know, this is first time when they play this songs. run write all stuff, and send them to alex and Charlie. they learne it and meat together to play.thats is first time when they play together this song that is sick :DD

  • @EdgarMalmsteen you obviously not know any guitarists like paco de lucia , its called finger picking, if we talk about stretch... bass is not even near guitars about stretching. slaps is particular about bass, only about bass, but cant say its something difficult lol

  • he was right they didn't need rehearsal, they are amazing!

really like seeing the drummer and of course Alex play their instruments

  • @EdgarMalmsteen bass is something like 1/3 of guitar capacity, no wonder ppl who cant play well guitar turn into bass players, the technic and possibilitys are way lower, its just like the comparaison between a rythmic player, and a lead player. the rythmn cnt really play the lead, but the lead can play the rythmn!

  • @domonly Boy are you wrong. It takes much more endurance to be a bass player than a guitar player. There is no distortion to hide behind on bass. Most guitar players cannot play bass. They play guitar licks on bass and you can hear the difference. They are two totally different instruments. Therefore you should not even compare the two.

  • @tatt4music

I wouldn't say totally different. A bass guitar is simply a lower tuned guitar with thicker strings, but they do play different roles in songs.

  • @EquinoxOfTheGods

That's like saying no instrument is different since all instruments play essentially the same notes at different octaves. If a different role is played, then the instrument is different. Like a violin to a cello.

  • @Prof3ssrBrando

They are both string instruments that can be played with picks, if you are a skilled guitarist you can just as easily play bass. The only adjustment needed is to understand the bass' role in music and not as you put it play just guitar licks. So yes, they are different, but I wouldn't say 'totally different' as in beyond comparison.

  • @EquinoxOfTheGods

Perhaps not "totally different," but certainly not very similar.

I've seen guitarists pick up bass acting cocky and suck so much.

I'm a bass player and really, a bass is a finger instrument for the most part.

It's a shame if a bassist can't use his fingers, and can only use a pick.

That's like a violinist that can only pluck, but cannot bow.

  • @EquinoxOfTheGods i have to agree with this one. every great bass player uses their fingers.. you cant say a bass is just "a lower tuned guitar with thicker strings" thats just ignorant and stupid. i myself play guitar, and i know for a fact that bass is completely different than guitar. just because most modern bands have given the bass a bad name does not mean its "just a lower tuned guitar".

  • @tombrustler Props to tombrustler!

  • @tombrustler Yeah I agree- while for most mainstream rock or pop bands with simple-as-fuck basslines, the guitarist can pick up bass duties (wasn't that the case for U2? or some band, there were 2 guitarists and one was forced to go on bass), they certainly have their differences.

  • @Maddolis black sabbath? geezer was guitarist forced to the bass cuz iommi liked the spotlight

  • @newoaklandlocal I wasn't thinking of Black Sabbath but thanks for pointing that out.

  • @Prof3ssrBrando. you must never have heard of paul mccartney.

  • @Prof3ssrBrando The violin analogy you used isn't really the case. While I do agree that the bass is mostly a finger instrument, the different tone that can be achieved when using a pick can be extremely useful sometimes. Especially when you want just that little bit of extra power to cut through the guitars.

  • @UncleCthulhu How can you suggest picking is extremely useful for a bass and plucking on a violin is not? Violinists use it rather often to get the appropriate tone. Am I against using a pick on a bass, no. I think a pick is great when used in the right situation, just like finger picking. I get what you're saying though. :)

  • @EquinoxOfTheGods One of the shittiest comments EVER.

  • @johnthegreek178

    Whatever, shithead.

  • @EquinoxOfTheGods Dude, your comment is 100% wrong. At least have the balls to admit it.

  • @johnthegreek178

It probably is, but my I'm sitting on my balls currently and I fear they can not grow any larger before reaching critical mass =(

  • Whoa... I didnt know alex played in another band!

  • your drummer is particularly good .

  • this sux i wish i could hear the bass!!! still sick

  • cookie monster @ 2:01

  • anyone near montreal interested to play blotted science, or any other metal prog covers, or compo of these styles ? check out my 2 covers of blotted with full solos, thks !

  • Funny video.Ron is the mental boss in this room.I like the cd playing very often.the two guys are acceptable.Rons brother Bobby wouldnt handle His kit like a farmer.Sorry but the Jarzombs are the men.Chris the painter of Fine art prints.bye

  • what kinda guitar is the guitarist playing? its sexy lol but i think itd look better with a black fretboard

  • @Pandem9 Ron builds all his own guitars. Check his website for pix. The fretboard on that guitar is now black. ;-)

  • i know most of the songs needs 2 guitars but... i guess live you have to choose the best line; how did you follow on that middle solo? well i guess it would of been very hard live like where the sound really gets bashed, reverbed, echoed... this IS like science, all the ingredients needs to be perfect; otherwise catastrophie could occur... a 4/4 part is hard to lose but out of those even just 5/4 totally shatters apart creating a collapsing song... with that stuff, it better be tight!

  • alex webster kicks ass

  • Bobby is involved in I believe two other bands and living in LA. One of those is Sebastian Bach's solo project.

  • what happened to the jarzombeck brother on drums??

  • @clintusmaximus Bobby currently plays with Sebastian Bach, Fates Warning and Halford.

  • WIch Kind of bass use Alex with BLotted Science?Schecter or Modulus? Here I can't see wich is

  • Holy shit, that is some mighty fucking technical bass!

  • cmon

    play something technical

unreal! is there anything alex cant play

  • @springerthedog bass is for sissys, guitars for kings

  • @domonly

This kind of shit kills music. Paul's a joker, he wasn't serious. Take everything he says to heart and you'll know absolutely nothing about music or how it's composed.

  • whats he use at 4:15 to produce the harmony?

  • Does anyone know where I can find these drum tabs?

    And wtf, where's Bobby Jarzombek??

  • Bobby's real busy with many different things as far as I know, which is why he was less involved on Ink Compatible

  • its kinda funny how the guitarist is one of alex's favourite guitarists, and he was confused to why that guitarist picked him of all people lol

  • Alex is a fucking awesome technician bassist...look his right hand...THAT is the real and pure technique to play the bass guitar.

  • Needs vocals

  • Dude I love that drum solo at 5:00.

  • holy fuck!

  • btw the below post was in reply to that doofus who said James Hetfield should be playing the bass, not the video. I wish Youtube would group replies to single comments...

  • that bassist is insanely fast.

  • that bassist is ALEX WEBSTER u might know him from the Mighty Cannibal Corpse.....of course he's fast lmao

  • Buy the cd and support this totalcool constellation!! greetings from Sweden.

  • Just knowing the bass player they have, you can say, THIS IS A FUCKING BRUTAL KICKING ASS BAND!!!

    :P

  • 3:35 holy shit!

    xoxoxo

    luv,

    jessie

  • LMAO @ 2:20

  • AWESOME!!!! Bitchin! Ass kickin and taking names and not even at a performance...

    xoxoxo

    luv,

    jessie

  • Ron gave me this cd free

    he's a real cool guy

  • This band fuckin kicks ass!!!! BLOTTED SCIENCE!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • GEEK METAL!!!! LOVE IT!

  • Comment removed

  • I'm so use to watching John Petrucci shred, that it's nice to see someone different shred really cool for a change! :D

  • Alex Webster! great to see him rehearsal,

    thx for the vid.

  • stop arguing and shut up, watch and listen. Enjoy

  • Why only one guitar player, though?

  • 1) Because only one is needed.

    2) Because 99.99% of guitar players can't play Ron's stuff.

  • Well technically you could with a harmonizer, but it's hardly necessary and it's pretty cliche...

  • Petrucci I could see but def. not Suicmez and Muenzer who are both major Jarzombek worshipers. Both are great but neither is at Ron's level - especially not when it comes to lead guitar.

  • every one is talkin about jarzombek what about fuckin alex webster the greatest bassist in metal today

  • thats because everyone knows that alex webster is amazing, the only bassists who compare are thessling from obscura, stephan fimmers of necrophagist, and cliff burton (R.I.P.)

  • I think Fimmers could kick Burton's butt any day...

  • @cancerousreaper john myung from dream theater. he is sick

  • @cancerousreaper don't forget forest from augury..one of the greatest!

  • @cancerousreaper Steve DiGiorgio

  • @SabuPtolemy

I like blotted science, but, there are plenty of people who could hang with Ron in a heart beat

  • suck my cock asshole

  • fuck you

  • Well I can agree with you about lengthy solos losing feeling over time, however that really isn't what blotted science is about. At least in my opinion, they removed the vocals and let the guitar sing the song. That's how I feel anyway. Webster was the right fuckin choice for this band btw.

  • ya know, you might wanna look like the tough guy, but you like or not being mean is still a FEELING.That's called rage.IDIOT.

    FUCKIN DICKHEAD

  • christ these guys are fuckin sick

  • this band rules

  • guitarist is amazing, anyone else cream over the 'Bleeding In The Brain' solo? that solo is just like..what??!

  • YES, YES IT IS, lol. Sometimes I'll listen to it like 20 times in a row, and somehow each time it gets more unbelievable.

  • I wish they did a live recording with equipment other than a camera mic... still an incredible song. Probably the best guitarist on the planet right now.

  • I love how Ron's looking at the camera, smiling, and sweep picking perfectly all at the same time at 1:10.

  • @Slashe50 Not sweeping actually, but three note per string string-skipping with position shifting... which is even more incredible

  • Alex Webster rules that bass

  • One of my favorite songs. Actually I love all of your songs. You guys got my respect so much \m/

  • hum... i want to sing

  • Man, i think Alex Webster is better than John Myung with regards to man handling the bass

  • @sprawlmessiah

wrong, you have no idea what you are talking about, this guy probably worships myung and could only dream he could play as good. John Myung has mastered the bass. This guy could not hold a candle to myung

  • @Musicman1ify are you serious? How do you know that? Have you seen what he's playing? JM is great, but first of all, there are 50 bass players in the world (no, not just in metal, hmm... how about jazz, fusion, latin, funk?) who are "better" than JM. Second of all, this bassist is playing ridiculously complex stuff somewhat effortlessly, like a true pro. Who's to say he can't also play funk like a pro (most likely, he can), or play any Dream Theater song with ease? Be fair.

  • @Proghead88 your right, i will be fair. I just really like JM he is my favorite. I have the blotted science cd. What prog bands are you into, I like circus maximus, pantomind, crisis, animations, seventhwonder...... i could go on. any way thanks for the advice

  • @Musicman1ify I like JM a lot too, he's one of my favorites. I'm into Pain of Salvation, DT, Freak Kitchen, Zappa, Spastic Ink, but prog is about 20% of what I listen to. I find it harder and harder to find bands in that genre that are truly "progressive". The definition changes with everybody, but the closest example I can think of is what The Beatles did in '66 and forward. Truly innovative, and nothing that existed before. Hopefully while keeping the point of the song alive (lyrics/melody)

  • @Musicman1ify I'de love to see Myung play some Necrophagist.

  • @MutedChord I dont think myung would waste his time. there is no heart in this band, voice sounds like he is vomiting, guitars are awesome and drums and bass. but other than that ca ca!!!!!!!

  • @sprawlmessiah

i think the best bass fight in the world woudl be between

    Alex webster, and Steve DiGiorgio.

i would give the edge to Steve just cause i play fretless too, and he makes fretless WORK for him.

Alex got the BAM in his fingertips that sounds amazing here

  • @KreatorOfDeath1985

I want to see John Myung face off against Victor Wooten.

  • Too good.

It's the sort of band that after 6 months listening I'll have an epiphany and become completely obsessed with them.

  • Screw 6 months, it's happened already!

  • "If we were a real band, we would rehearse this damn shit!'

"We don't need rehearsal; we're THAT good!"

    =D

  • How many strings is on Ron's guitar?

  • On this one, 7, but i think all the others he owns are just 6.

  • James Hetfield

that better not be the guy from metallica cause he sucks horribly

  • dude its alex webster of cannibal corpse on bass and ron jarzombek on guitars.

  • oh i know that this band is sickness, i was talking

    to that guy, tctebsrules

    Hes maybe 4-5 commenst down
