its an I-5 turbo swap, doesnt sound even remotely close to a V8

That doesn't look like a quattro from his warm up but maybe he has a lock on the front diff.

if it wasn't quattro, it'd be FWD.

If you put a lot of power under a non full-time all wheel drive system, you'll be able to lose traction. I can only imagine how much whp that thing is running to get an 8.3 sec 1/4 mile.

Could also be that he does have a lock on the front diff though. Just throwin out another possibility
