I just use five icebolts and and a crossbow the ranged attack kill turns on automatically after you use all your icebolts.

Firecounter has like half to a tenth the dps depending on if enemy rushes after being firebolted or stalls around in defense.

it's not about "better" it's dependent on situation. icebolt makes enemies run at you, the same way they would if you were to melee once and run. whereas firebolt knocks them back. a lot of enemies don't run at you all the time after being firebolted but icebolt they usually will.

You need basic strategy vids though. Many people starting out will need them to learn how to play.

There are some other well made guides out there though. I liked the cooking one and the ones involving pets.

If I had more time I would have made a nice technical video about wall combos (e.g. versus different enemy AIs, like golems for example). Would be more interesting than the average skill/counter strats.

In short, devCAT is better than wizet, the creators of Maplestory.

Ahhhrrr! I can't get it right how are they doing that. whenever I try to charge counter after the icebolt the enemy always hits me first and if it actualy works wen I try to charge the icebolt again (and I pressed the botton for icebolt) it dosn't charge fast enough and the enimy hits me. can someone help?

Because in the video the skill is at a higher rank. It is suggested to Ice Counter on humanoid monsters at the lower ranks, Like Skeletons,Ratman etc.

No, nexon. It's 2. 3 Is more likely to fail/make it cost more time to Ice counter than 2, because for some reason after you shoot 3 they load a skill like counter and sit there. However, when you charge 2, they usually don't pull out a boy and start shooting the heck out of you before you can do anything.

You did forget to mention though, how if the monster has mana reflector that Fire counter would be better as firebolt would knock it down and icebolt would make it charge at you, resulting in an untimely death or getting hurt badly.

I've always been a fan of magic counter. It's my favorite tactic of all time! There I posted up a video of how I handle getting ingots quickly in rafting with the use of firebolt and fireball.

rank 5 lightning and rank 9 icebolt charges at the same speed. i found icebolt a bit more useful since you can load multiple bullets and not have to discharge on a mob like lightning does

Ice Bolt from Rank 9 onwards loads in 1.5 seconds, the same as Lightning Bolt from Rank 5 onwards. It is possible to keep a target permanently stunned using either bolt at their fast cast ranks.

yea since the charge time is fast enough, but i think pd's focusing on that there won't be knock back like icebolt does. 3rd shot will knock back the target and if you charge to fire the target still moves like pixel by pixel closer.

the charge time varies by rank, if that's the speed you're talking about. actually attacking looks to be the same speed to me. lightning, however, has a better stun time.
