one problem i have with the ps3 is that it can only play games at 720p. the 360 can handle 1080p games no problem. I heard that the ps3's graphics card is weaker then the 360 despite the rest of it's components being more powerful, although we haven't really seen much to prove that outside of tech demos.

read the back of the box on the game. the majority say 720 as their highest resolution. the ps3 menu and blueray movies all play at the highest standard however.

You have it backwards... but that's not true, Killzone 2 proved it. And the 360 has already hit it's High point for it's best looking games, just wait 2 years from now and the ps3's high point will exceed 360's capabilities by a long shot. But all in all we are just going to have to wait, but I give you my word that the ps3 will out do it, both in gameplay/graphics and games.

Well I agree the ps3 will surpass the 360 eventually, I however didnt really feel killzone 2 was that revolutionary. things were detailed yes, but very colourless most of the time(makes rending easier if there's less of a spectrum to deal with all the time) and there wasnt much else other then the polycount that really caught my attention. The ai was decent, but Riddicks new ai was way better then killzones imo. Also, I found the cover system to be tacked on, i barely bothered to use it.

your wrong the ps3 plays games in 1080i and 1080p as well but not all games but all there games are made on blu-ray,you should adjust your settings on your ps3 or your tv

"not all games" is the key. My tv is set for 1080i. and it drops to 720 on every ps3 game I own, as well as all dvd's. Blueray movies play at the 1080i but so far, other then the system menu, that's about it. On the game boxes, it says supports 720p on the majority. Pretty sure the 360 plays at full 1080p resolution on ALL games. Whats the point in all that power if the game's are usually only 720?

yeah if you can afford it, i recently got a new PC for £200 of ebay, which is more than an xbox 360, and it only plays, Spore (very well), orange box (slight lag), oblivion(loaaaadss of lag) and far cry 2 doesnt even work, and its possible you could get a console AND all of those games i just mentioned for £200 (apart from spore 'cos its a PC only game).

Yeah but think about it, 360 you have to pay for a Hard Drive so add another $100 to that $200 you spent. You also have to pay for XBOX LIVE and mic which is another $100. And than you also have to pay for the Xbox wireless adapter which is another $100, your better off buying a PC or PS3. PS3 has a wireless adapter built-in and free online play.

Wrong.....360 is only 300$ and you get everything you just listed in that 300$ pack...Wireless controller, 1 month of LIVE, 60GB hard drive and a mic. The only thing you would have to spend extra money on is a charge which is 20$ and that charge comes with 2 more extra chargeable battery's so you can be using one while the other one is charging..

Have you ever noticed how crappy the graphics are? Most of the games get repetitive really fast. Their small family-fun games that take up time. This is what Nintendo is good at. Wii is a good system overal, its nothing new, not futuristic with the motion sensors, just a smart company move. Personaly I dont like it, but its a good system overal.

sw174, I totally disagree again. The Wii might be fun to play the 1st time around, but gets boring. It might keep a group of people entertained for a while, but it's nothing special. It's graphics are shit, no questions asked. And the majority of it's games don't come anywhere near as good as games get on other consoles. As a previous comment said, the Wii's era is dead, it's all about PS3/360 And PC. And rightly so, Both Games and Graphics are better in most cases. What more can you ask for?
