  • great video.

  • Walter Bishop ????????? OMG ?!!!!!

  • Strontium Ranelate has in the last few years been introduced (in the UK) as a treatment for osteoporosis.

  • In italian language there is a word (stronzo) that means motherf**er lol

  • so strontium 38 is converted to strontium 90 in nuclear reaction?

  • The element is named for Strontian, a village in Scotland. The village itself takes its name from “Sròn an t-Sìthein”, which is Scots-Gaelic for “nose (or point) of the faerie hill”. Strontium was first isolated from mineral specimens taken from a mine in the area. Given the date of the element’s discovery, those specimens were doubtless collected using hand tools, like picks and chisels. So it can be said that Strontium is probably the only element discovered through nose-picking...

  • is he the son of einstein ?!?!

  • Strontium translates to shit-ium in dutch :)

  • Well.. To be more accurate we use Strontium Nitrate in pyrotechnics. Same as Barium Nitrate (green).

  • Hehehehe, Stront means shit in Dutch...

  • @xRedster Shittium

  • This series rocks but you need to do better videos.

  • On 10 October 1957, the graphite core of a British nuclear reactor at Windscale, Cumberland (now Sellafield, Cumbria) caught fire, releasing substantial amounts of radioactive contamination into the surrounding area. The event, known as the Windscale fire, was the worst nuclear accident in Great Britain

  • Windscale

  • Einstein wannabe.

  • Dude, is that your real hair?

  • I'm pretty sure that, if he wanted to, the Professor could use his vast knowledge of chemistry to single-handedly destroy the entire universe.

  • lol

  • I heard about a power plant in the south of England being used to breed plutonium in the 70's. I cant remember what the cause was but some radioactive isotopes of Strontium and Caesium were released, landing on farm land in the surrounding area and being eaten by dairy cattle. A cation exchange resin was used to reduce strontium levels, but this also removed all the calcium. The treated milk was then dilluted and sold with milk from around the UK so everyone had a small dose of Strontium 90.

  • wow he looks like a stereotypical scientist

  • @1993gandy

wow he does look like the stereotypical scientist! he's living up to the crazy scientist look ... reminiscent of Einstein

  • yea strontium have a really good taste..

  • I like to put a little bit of strontium on my cereal in the morning. Gives my Lucky Charms a real kick.

  • Don't worry, with the nutjob North Koream leader there'll be plenty of new Strontium-90 realeased all over the world soon!

  • @dharmafreak He doesn't seem to be developing atomic weapons, cheaper dirtier nuclear intercontinenal ballistic missiles seem to be his weapon of choice.

  • So no chance of Strontium Dog becoming real then?

  • @eldospinks Thank you.

  • @MINICLIPGAMER You're welcome.

  • Strontium means shit in my country stront=shit

  • I love Strontium!

  • It causes Lukemia

  • Strontium is delicious. It's in my toothpaste.

  • strontium sounds cool when u say it

  • strontium's cool it was discovered in a town in scotland called strontian and thats how it got its name

  • Strontium is used for red color in pyrotechnics.

It is really cool element if get on fire.
