People are so ungrateful. Why can't people just learn to appreciate Nascar? To me, people who argue and bitch about Nascar being in GT5 are just ignorant and ungrateful. They're too pretentious to appreciate what KY is doing for you guys. I may not be a huge fan of Nascar but I can still give some respect to the motorsport.

NASCAR certainly is not all ovals and no skill. Although NASCAR mostly uses ovals, they use road courses too. Road America, Watkins Glen & Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. Which is also used by F1. And driving a NASCAR around a road course must be a bitch because they haven't got much downforce. Also, ovals aren't easy. Get off the racing line and the car can spin and crash into a wall. Its called the groove, you hear about it. Drivers always say they have to stick to it. Thats why.

I pre-ordered it in early September, before I even knew there would be NASCAR in it.

And as for the guy who said NASCAR isn't motorsport, I used to say that, until I realized that the cars they drive are all roughly the same, are constantly slipstreaming, and are taking the exact same line for 500 laps, so the drivers either win because of pure luck or pure skill.

@TheJONNYfern I don't like watching NASCAR, but I have driven a retired car before, and it is a lot more fun than it looks. Yes, it IS just driving in circles, but it's driving in circles at nearly 200mph, under high heat and G-force, while inches away from other cars. The drivers just make it LOOK easy and boring.

Also, there are non-ovals in the series now. Just sayin'.
