  • Songs that use this same sample are

Dr.dre ft snoop Dogg - Next episode original

Warren G - Runnin with no breaks

    Cell Dwellas - Good Dwellas

Lords Of The Underground - No Pain

And Crooked I Used This Sample Also..

    And Im Only 19!

  • @YoUnGSpaCeLY92 good dwellas was the best one

  • Lords of the underground used the trumpet(?) sample in their song "no pain"

  • so fucking dope.

  • dopeness

  • I was livin in TO at the time, and my crew had the good dwellas joint before this single dropped. the cella dwellas album was released realllllllly late though (much like many albums of that era...anybody remember waiting over 2 years for Hard2Obtain to drop?). DW's use of the horn sample trumps (pun intended) the dwellas' beat.

  • Good

  • Toronto legends

  • Sad that this wasn't blasted everywhere. positive vibrations, you dig them?

  • @ FDAPO Cella Dwellas used the same sample for "The Good Dwellas"

  • nice music to the ears

  • Great song!Aside from the Bay Bridge 1st scene, where's the supposed California Part at?

  • @Pimpczar2011 the lyrics bro

  • great song but i'm feeling like Kool G or OC used this sample... who was it?? But Im feelin Dream warriors killed the sample the hardest.... Reeal hip hop

  • @FDAPO

    Wasn't it Helter Skelter?

  • @FDAPO Yeah I had the feeling OC used the sample too.

  • Dream Warriors is halt HipHop der in vergessenheit geraten ist welcher aber den sinn und und die Botschaft von Hip Hop und Rap ist.

  • i miss the real hip hop...

  • @guesswhat97229 don't we all?

  • Wow, I've never heard this track before but I instantly knew the sound . . . . . The Living Legends did a song "FLAWLESS" on their Almost Famous album. This beat is tight.

  • So i gotta ask... which beat came first California Dreamin' or "Good Dwellas" by the Cella Dwellas both basically the same beat and both came out in 95?

  • @CRISISDUNN The Warriors' album came out in '94 (in Canada)...so this one was first.

  • @KardiFan2000 oh okay because wikipedia says this song came out in 95 also.

  • @CRISISDUNN Dr. Dre and Snoop actually used it in 1992 on the unreleased original version of "The Next Episode". The song was supposed to hit the album the Chronic but got cut for some reason. You can find it on youtube but the audio is shitty quality. Dream Warrioirs came before good dwellas though FYI.

  • wow I was seeking this track for years....respect

  • Man.............. This is dope.

  • Dope!

  • Ich wär so gern wie du! suave sample :D

  • ahha "flawless" by the big LL uses this smaple, and this video is hilarious cause the setting looks exactly like the 'You Never Knew' video by Hieroglyphics

  • i not found this great song....

  • When did this group come out? I never heard of them before. I like their flow. Reminds me of A Tribe Called Quest.

  • @Soulchyld70 They're 90s , Spek is still around doin big things in Dubai. They're straight outta Canada. Witty rappers

  • California Dreams, not California Dreamin'

  • @bmaguire1981 no...it's dreamin'

  • @KardiFan2000 California Dreamin' is by The Mammas and the Poppas. This song is called California Dreams, which is at the beginning of the song when the song info appears on the screen.

  • @bmaguire1981 I have the album...it's dreamin'

  • @bmaguire1981 I have the album too. Get ur fuckin facts straight. You're arguing bout shit you don't know, when wikipedia, google, yahoo, msn, and their CD all say "California Dreamin". After the first time someone corrected your verbal diarrhea did you not think to even research it. You look like a fool, even if Kardifan2000 won't be rude bout it!

  • @ligitform youtube ownage

  • Can anyone up "Day in and Day Out" from the same album? Whatever happened to that sri-lankan rapper from this group Spek?

  • I saw the "Day In Day Out" video on here a few months ago...Spek lives overseas now (somewhere in Asia I think)

  • @BlankDVD I think he dropped some solo stuff. A song called I am not a hippie or I am a hippie or something like that stands out. Check for it here on youtube.

  • nice one!

cella dwella's version is dope as hell too!

anyway,2 sick songs on the same beat--->no prob!

  • Yaaaaaaaaaaa Tdot!

In my Heart Hip Hop is still burnin so fuckin hot ! Sorry for u that u lost ur passion to it but i luv it !

  • This was my cut back in the day.

  • niceflow i remember these kats

  • same sample as cella dwellas - good dwellas and lords of the underground - no pain and warren G - runnin with no breaks all these samples are originated from Les Mcann & Eddie Harris - Go on and cry

  • Ah somebody knows his hip hop well, I was unaware Warren G and the Cella Dwellas sampled "Go on and Cry" as well I only heard the Lords of The Underground "No Pain" and this track.

  • What happend to Hip Hop?

  • Hip Hop is dead bro
