Just personal opinion here. . .But this is what he should be sticking to. Musical theatre is his forte. He does it almost better than anyone else, but when he tries his hand at pop. . .it just loses some of the magic. I don't know why, but he should just stick to more songs in this style.

This was absolutely brilliant! Why couldn't he have sung something like this to finnish this series? I had a smile on my face the whole way through it. See, the thing about John isn't his voice (which is, of course, awesome, but which can be matched by any other West End leading man). The thing about John is his charisma. He can light up the stage with a smile, bring the audience to its feet with a laugh - he's got star quality, and you can see it every time you look at him.
