  • anybody know the name of the music that starts at the beginning of the trailer?!?!

  • The guy with curly hair looks like Kent Rosenburg from GTA Vice city.

  • @MrLikos123 Kent's character is based on Kleinfeld !!

  • @MrLikos123 yeah the guy from GTA is based off of this character, rockstar do that allot with their games. like ryder from san andreas was based off eazy-e

  • the best trailer Carlitos way youtube.com/watch?v=3EvLXIYx65k&feature=channel_video_title

  • finally a good trailer ,,,,

so rare in that time to see a good trailer no more of that stupid voice narrator

just great scenes from an awesome movie

  • This movie is spot on the lifestyle. A Classic.

  • hands down my fav movie....hits close to home and it was a good year too.

  • in this film he looks like the most interesting man in the world...stay thirsty my friends

  • I love pachanga

  • Luis gusman....pachanga

  • I'm pretty sure the guy who says "retired" at 0.59 is the devious coke dealer he gunned down in the Miami street in Scarface.

  • @Countrychiddler

    Yes it is (;

  • Depalma should make movies like this one again!

  • My all time favorite, the perfect movie!

  • Benny Blanco from the Bronx!

  • Scarface,Scent of a woman,Carlito's way...

    Fuckin great movies

  • YOU THINK YOU'RE BIG TIME, YOU'RE GONNA FUCKIN' DIE BIG TIME!

  • De Palma, Pacino, Penn. 3 P´s nice cocktail, great movie.

  • WHAT? im confused,,,, why is john williams born on the fourth of july soundtrack playing at 0:26

  • @NorCal4Life925breh

that's how it sometimes is with soundtracks in trailers. they use music that has already been used in other films, maybe because the movie's on o.s.t. wasn't ready by then, or because they just thought it fit to the trailer. it's not that seldom to be suprised, in my opinion...

  • I love this movie. The main character doesn't kill "for the fun of it," but has grown to see some actions he becomes involved in as disgusting.

His girl isn't some skinny, sex-obsessed, "hot chick", she's a beautiful woman he loves for many reasons.

Loved this movie as a kid, still love it.

  • Are they going to make a movie where a retired criminal/gangster becomes a vigilante and goes around killing criminals along his way?

  • In my top 25

  • Does anyone know the name of the song in the trailer?

  • @esesnsx3 It was from "Born on the Fourth of July" by John Williams.

  • Al Pacino gave a great performance naturally but Sean Penn's role in this film was equal to Pacino and nothing less than spectacular.

  • @oneindachamber Sean Penn's role is EQUAL to Pacino? LOL!

  • @misscarly12 Oh ok I guess I cant have a mind of my own. I have to THINK like you. Because it is not a FACT that this person is better or that person is. It is merely someone's opinion. so LOL for you trying to believe other people should think like you. Hell even critics said Penn's role was just as great. And it was. I guess your just someone who is biased. I think Al and DeNiro are the two greatest ever but that doesnt mean one should be biased. Dont be a dumbass Open your mind.

  • @oneindachamber The hell are you saying? Why are you saying that I'm a dumbass when infact I AM AGREEING WITH WHAT YOU SAID. Penn's role is amazing, i'm telling you. I watched this movie again for the 18th time last night and I still reckon Penn is very good. *LOL* means OF COURSE he (Penn) IS AMAZING, HELLO?!?

  • @misscarly12 Oh shit. My bad. I really didnt understand what you meant. I thought it was sarcasm. lol. My mistake.

  • @oneindachamber YES, your bad. Forgiven anyway (:

  • @misscarly12 there you go again with the way you word things. I am saying my bad for not understanding what you said NOT because I called you a dumbass which i didnt do. Read my 1st comment. Now I am sayin dont be a smartass. If someone says their bad, Simply say I accept dont start it by saying YES your bad. I never called you any name. "I said your ACTING like a dumbass" So now I am saying I forgive YOU because YOU didnt understand what I said.

  • @oneindachamber I said YOUR BAD for not understanding the way i said. I din't said YOUR BAD for calling me a dumbass OK?. Oh my God what should I do for you to understand me???!?!?!

  • @oneindachamber sean penn was a monster!! I'm pretty sure he musta been really coked up to play that wired/crazy character soo well. Everyone was perfect, all characters. I really liked the pimp whos in the wheelchair who wears the wire 'i cant huuump!! Shoot me you cooowwk-suuuukoorr!!' Such great acents, all of them. One of the best scenes is the pool table shoot out. Soo perfect, the music, lighting, script. It almost looks like a play your watching in the front row.'you think ya big time?!!'

  • what kind of sunglasses used carlitos brigante??? please somebody tell me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

en español: alguien sabe el tipo de lentes o marca de los lentes de sol que usa al pacino en esta peli???

disculpen que escriba mal en ingles..

  • this movie is amazing if your debating whether to watch it or not...WATCH IT

  • @kisskissh Ok then its settled ill watch!

  • 20 people must be in Benny Blanco From The Bronx's gang.

  • @TVCreed You're right and another thing, when l played the game back then (btw l played it so many times l knew the dialogues by heart) l recognized the face of the guy that inspired Sonny Forelli. l'm pretty sure nobody noticed yet and it's definitely not on wiki. lt's a famous italo-american actor who always plays the part of a wiseguy in movies. He started acting in my favorite HBO show of all times "Oz". He's name is Chuck Zito, check him out, the resemblance is simply stunning.

  • @Heroinedown

yh i checked him out and it does look like him, i guess the reason why vice city was my favourate game for ps2 was becuase rockstar stole ideas from such great movies. i think i probably play it again today :')

  • @TVCreed lt's no coincidence, l'm sure it's him. The way he talks, moves and makes jokes are exactly the same as Sonny's. Now for me, what's so good about GTA is there are so many references to the "real world" it makes their games more alive. lt's like a hide and seek game where the players gotta find what is what. They are smart games for those who take the time to think outside of the box. My favorites are still San Andreas and Vice City...

  • lol sean penn as a nerd XD

  • I’M RELOADED!

  • GREAT movie regardless

  • why are they using music from "born on the fourth of july"??? O_o

  • This trailer seems kind of lame but this is a great movie. It's like a sequel to Scarface. Not a direct sequel, but a similar type of movie if Scarface had decided to go straight. Sean Penn is a righteous douche bag...he's a piece of walking debris but he did a great job in this movie probably because the character he plays is just like him. And yes, I heard Penn's character was based on Alan Dershowtiz. Anyway, you have to see this movie if you liked Scarface you will like this.

  • This to me is Pacino at his finest! From the accent, the swagger, the costume n makeup, Al transforms himself into such ah totally different person from ah Michael Corleone or a Tony Montana. The beauty of his craft of acting is so superior! I can't see anyone else playing that role.

  • @jasonpeng1 You should see Al Pacino in Heat aswell, along with Robert De Niro, the two best actors come together in an amazing 3 hour thriller ride, never seen anything like it, one of my top favourite movies ever. Both Pacino and De Niro are absolutely OUTSTANDING in that one, im gonna check this one out now :)

  • @jasonpeng1 I know, and what pisses me off is that he made it to the top worst actors list. Can you believe that?

  • what's the name of this song in this trailer it sounds nice

  • HOOOOKAYYY IM REEEELOADED!!!

  • Only in Hollywood could a beautiful woman like Penelope Miller still be in the same place and still stuck on the same guy five years later, she would maybe be married by that point. This is a outstanding film and the performance from Pacino was Oscar worthy. Even though you know from the opening credits that he is going to die, you still get lost in the film and hope that he'll make it to Paradise with Gail.

  • eh scarface, goodfellas, donnie brasco & king of new york is better :D there's probably more just can't remember right now

  • more human than scarface.. this is just better

  • 20 ppl aren't cool and should have an apple spit in their face.

  • On monday i went to GRAND CENTRAL STATION in MANHATTAN NEW YORK,Every time i pass there i remember this movie "CARLITO'S WAY" and i finally got a chance to see one of the actors from this movie, which was LUIS GUZMAN,I attended THE RED CARPET MOVIE PREMIERE for "ARTHUR" and i was sitting a few seats ahead of actor LUIS GUZMAN who's in this movie,When we came out the theatre he was the same height as me 5'5 the movie was held at THE ZIEGFELD THEATRE IN mANHATTAN NEW YORK TUESDAY APRIL 5,2011yessir

  • @cloverfield00 is he as handsome in real life?heh

  • @pArTyBOE82 He looks the same as he does in this movie.

  • @cloverfield00 i remember him best from the cowboy way movie..not the best movie he has been but that movie has one hilarious scene where he is

  • This movie doesn't get enough credit for how awesome it is. Al Pacino's face should be next to the definition for "Badass Motherfucker"!!!

  • No more! He's doing life in the Feds!

  • when comes Al pacino s new gangster movie?,,???

  • Very good gangsta film

  • carlitos better than scarface....pa...pa...pa !!!

  • CCarrrrliiiitoooooo.... I remember you man.... You used to run smack with Rolando.....

    Righhhhhhhhhhhtttt.............

  • -"Maybe you don't remember me, my name is..."

    -"Maybe I don't give a shit."

best line ever. gotta use it one day. :)

  • Rich Movie. LEGENDARY

  • This was a decent film, however the prequel to it is possible the worst prequel ever made. They have a diffferent character playing Carlito instead of Pacino and Luiz Guzman played a different character, instead of the one he played in this one. DONT SEE IT

  • WTF happened with briam depalma?? why he does not make more movies/??? !!

  • i dont need to see the movie anymore lol

  • I hate Hispanics

  • OMFG thats the lawyer, from vice city!!!

whats his name again? rosenberg...ken rosenberg...the guy in the purple suit....in the red building near the carpark, not too far from the mall....

    ahahahah

  • @MrR4VaG3 This film is where Rockstar got the inspiration for Ken Rosenberg.

  • I was named after this film :)

  • I was named after this film :)

  • Comment removed

  • @Heroinedown must have been based on this film!

  • @Heroinedown

well..his appearance on gta vice city was because of this movie

  • @Heroinedown they probebly copied that character from this movie..one of many

  • @Heroinedown hes parodying that lawer

  • @jackleeray Yeah l know and they do it with style, l just love to uncover the mysteries behind the inspiration of my favorite game developers, can't wait for a gta5...

  • @Heroinedown cool u said that the Rosenberg guy from Vice City is based on him

  • @Heroinedown Paul Rosenberg was inspired in this character, dude...

  • @Snakeyx That's what l said...

  • @Heroinedown You said it reminded you of him... You didn't make the connection, or at least it wasn't implicit... and by the way, just to correct both of us, it's Ken Rosenberg, not Paul...

  • @Snakeyx Maybe for this post but if you watched the other vids and read the comments, you'd have seen that l clearly said that for Vice city they got inspired by several characters from old gangster movies. And yes, Paul Rosenberg was in Eminem skit when he shot him dead, l got mixed up, it happens alright.

  • @Heroinedown Man, you don't need to get all worked up, I was just saying, because I didn't see the "other vids" (?). And you got mixed up, and so did I, hence the phrasing "to correct us both", acknowledging my mistake too.

  • @Snakeyx Don't worry man, it's all good. The important thing to remember here is this must be one of the best gangster movies with Al Pacino and the guys from Rockstar sure knew how to use it.

  • @Heroinedown Ken Rosenberg. And he was! Look it up on the GTA Wiki! Neat, huh?

  • @Heroinedown 'cause they based the character on him.

  • @Heroinedown haha you're right!! you mean ken rosenberg

  • @Heroinedown kml that's who Paul's character is based on, according to Wikipedia.

  • Comment removed

  • @Heroinedown Funny coincidence. Oh, or could it be that Ken Rosenberg actually was based on the David Kleinfeld character.

  • @Heroinedown I'm pretty sure they got the idea for the Vice City character from this movie.

  • Comment removed

  • @Heroinedown its funny too cuz pancha, plays the same voice of ricardo diaz.

  • @Heroinedown its based on him

  • @Heroinedown Dude that is Paul Rosenberg!!

  • one of the best movie!!! Pacino is so great here as well as always!!!

  • brilliant

  • You going to be somebody on the street you have to work for somebody Carlito. Who ever is paying rent to Ceasar.

  • Great! Al pacino speakes spanish very well, i like him since the grandfather, es un genio esta pelicula es una de las mejores y aparece un actor argentino Jorge Porcel haciendo del dueño del bar

  • goodfellas is the best

  • Why soundtrack from born on the 4th of july??? briam depalma does not make more movies, why??

  • Carlito Brigante No.1

  • better

  • is this as good as "Scarface"?

  • @jimbo102j not as much action but their is enough to entertain you, i recommend it tho

  • @jimbo102j I think this is better than "Scarface" in the sense that it's more realistic and the character of Carlito is more developed and multi dimensional than Tony Montana. Both are good movies, I just prefer "Carlito's Way." Plus, Sean Penn as the slimy cokehead attorney is brilliant.

  • @seamorgh21 This movie is best one. Any place you go some body moving in on you, Turf battles. I like it when that other fella tells him who you work for? he says no one. hAAAAAAA Carlito was working for that lawyer that was going to do that jail break ,Million dollars, Irish gangster

  • Soundtrack that starts @ 0:25 is: John Williams - Born on the 4th of july theme :)

  • Love it can break you, and bring you to your knees. The love I lost I can never replace in a million years, but maybe someone can prove me wrong. I will tell you that no matter how many I try to go out with it never gets better, and all I ever think about is her. We lived a lifetime together, but it was shorter than I wanted. Carlitio was a dreamer like me.

"Love" If you have it you don't need anything else, and if you don't have it, it doesn't matter what else you have"

  • AL YOU SHORT ASS FINOCHIO

  • song name at 1:20 ?

  • @SpikeMichaels..haha, thanks I like analyzing certain movies even if there not based on true stories, especially Pacino movies

  • Scarface is a good film but this is a way better

  • When carlito decided to stick up for Steffi and Kleinfeld in da club against Benny blanco, he broke his street smarts right there, da club was carlitos business only, he shoulda let dat ho steffi tend to her business with Benny, in ah nutshell, pussy got him killed...

  • @jasonpeng1 An interesting observation, extremely astute and worthy of further contemplation....

  • Never give up your Friends.

  • this an awsome film easily as good as the godfather or scarface if you have not seen it you should

  • For whatever reason, Carlito's Way is hardly mentioned when it comes to Pacino's epic roles in movies. Sean Penn delivers a phenomenal performance.

  • How is this not called scarface 2?!!!

  • @abisivepoo Because scarface died.

  • The entire chase at the end was one of the most comedic things i have ever seen. The fat mobster, the old guy, and the italian nephew. Amazing!

  • @tophie524 It wasn't comedic. it was scary being chased by the Italian mob. You have a strange sense of feeling for movies.

  • oraleethe lawyer fck looks like the on in vice city gta aint he hahahahma G

  • Benny Blanco from da Bronx!!!!

  • @vja1970 whahaha

  • @vja1970 YEAH hes as cool as jenny from the block!

  • YOU THINK YOU BIG TIME!? YOU GONNA FUCKIN' DIE, BIG TIME!

  • by far the best of de palma's movies

and the trailer is just as good (not so many live up to the movie or exceeds it and give false expectation)

  • This is my favorite Pacino movie.

  • @jamestfloyd brian de palma was the director and martin bregman and oliver srone were the producers

  • oliver stone used the same music in the born on the fourth of july trailer

  • @Anonymous1226 Tks, but this is a Brian de Palm movie right? and Born on the 4º of July is a movie form the 80´s...but i guess de Palma and Stone are friends..anyway...is a good movie and good music for a trailer:)

  • Is the music of the trailler the same as the movie: Born on the 4º July with Tom Cruise?!?!?

  • mafia wars put out limited tiem item

  • fuck! now i wont rest until i watch this movie

  • @MikSevilla its the best

  • my mom used to call me carlito, i feel because of that i have a special right to break into this character at a moment's notice, like if starbucks get my coffee wrong again ill probably start shouting lines from this movie

  • @carlo88moe yeah tell them that they'll end up in the bottom of the creek with eels and crabs coming out of their eyes rofl

  • tbh I wasn't a big fan of Scarface, thought this was way better.

But seriously why the fuck do some of you faggots post spoilers on a fucking movie trailer? Most of the people watching this have never seen the movie before so fuck off. Just use your brain and think why would people want to watch a movie trailer? Go post that shit on a fucking scene or something.

  • carlitos way-scarface-godfather I II II = best fuckin movies.....<3 u al

  • ...FEAR THE BEARD :)

  • Scarface - the beggining

Carltio's Way - the gangster life

Donnie Brasco - growing old in the life.. the end..

  • lool actually the godfather was the begining

  • One of the greatest films ever. But, I see that many people do not appreciate it.

  • here comes the pain !!!!

  • That's what i am right or wrong... i can't change that!

  • I love this movie. I got some big problems to deal with right now, cant help but enjoy seeing someone else with worse problems that me lol...

  • there is no fucking way this beats scareface, are you fucking dumb or something??????

  • good movie, tragic ending. just goes to show envy and jealousy drives people to such low tactics. although carlito is portrayed as a criminal he's character is essentially good. "keep your friends close and your enemies closer" is a pile of shit, as in this case the man he trusted ended up being the ultimate backstabbing coward. another good one is the case of saddam hussein ( yes i know a fucking dictator ). greed overtook his bodyguard. so he sold his honour for money.

  • Great movie!!!!!

    6-Dog Day Afternoon

  • @SimonMics good list only my number 4 is scent of the women and my number 3 is Devils advocate(no disrespect to scarface, but AL pachino was the bomb as Lucifer and I never saw serpico

  • @SimonMics YOU FORGOT ''HEAT'' WITH PACINO AND DENIRO

  • @TheCutegenius20 Didn't forget it, It's a good movie to but just not a clasic, from my point af view, like; The Insider, Glengary Glen Ross, The devil's advocat, Sent of a woman... All good films but not clasic.

  • great movie!!!!

  • @P0tterman agreed lol

  • Do anyone knows the name of the song which's starting on 0:25 ?
