  • A night in dreamland....

This is probably my fav track on the album next to the opener and closer, and 1.618. The jazz bits in there....SO GLITCHILY SEAMLESS...:DDD

  • I liked it up until the dubstep-ish part to it.

  • And btw, real dubstep is not the shit you hear by Skrillex and crap. Look it up. Don't let them ruin the genre for you. Listen to Window Seat - Bassnectar. So beautiful.

  • This makes me sad, seeing all of these people hate on music. There is beautiful music in every genre. I have heard some beautiful dubstep that just blew me away, and beautiful progressive trance that brought me to tears, and stuff like this that just shatters my world. Yes, there is lots of shitty commercialized music out there. But let's not mar this wall by complaining and attacking one another. I just cried watching this, and that is the point of this music. Enjoying the beauty set before us.

  • Wow this is amazing.

  • I don't like all the hate comments against dubstep. I listen to both this awesome music, and dubstep. Problem?

  • @alphatelescopii

    okay.

  • @alphatelescopii imo dubstep haters should listen to klaypex. i know they're what changed my mind about it

  • Amazing how hard it is to get hold of a copy of this - I guess it must have been deleted. Real shame - one of the most amazing albums I've heard in a long while

  • how come this CD isn't for sale anywhere. not digitally or physically. i just want to get this CD legally, but i haven't been able to find it. if anybody knows where to get it, message me. otherwise i'll have to torrent it i guess

  • @knieveljaja Pretty hard to find isn't it! amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B000G8OZ16/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&condition=used

    discogs.com/BT-This-Binary-Universe/release/769487

    play.com/Music/CD/4-/1131059/This-Binary-Universe/Product.html

  • @EtherealEntity6 thx! better used than nothing i guess. i never understood why it was so hard to find even though it is considered one of the best electronic albums

  • Scroll up, you're missing the video

  • What place in my mind does this song take me?

It has the curiosity of a baby, mixed with the wonder of the universe.

It's like a child exploring the universe...

  • love this song but why u no has 1080p ?!?!?!!

  • @salvanas6 It came out on DVD, not Blu-ray.

  • Idk if this is music following the Phi proportion, but this is sick!

  • oh my god. everyone shut the fuck up about other artists, they are irrelevant to this. enjoy the fucking music and be quiet.

  • @DaNorthernLight Yeah, to each his own, I guess. I'd make the argument that Nirvana has complex lyrics, but they really don't, and even Cobain said so. I still enjoy them though, and I love The Beatles.

And yes, Slipknot is definitely pop-metal.

  • @DaNorthernLight O_o FANBOY MELTDOWN IMMINENT! ABORT!

    Meltdown averted.

I must respectfully disagree and say that, in my personal opinion, Nirvana did for music 20 years ago what The Beatles did for music 50 years ago. Granted, I am an American youth. Then again, my mom's forty year old friend who lives in Belgium loves Nirvana, so it obviously appeals to more than just the "young & frustrated generation of American youth."

Also, Slipknot is not grunge; it is shit. And dubstep is boring.

  • anyone else feeling that the jazzy breaks remind them of Leverage? lol

  • @DaNorthernLight

I dunno, I think the genre has a lot to offer. Even then, why does a song have to be deep to be worthy of impact? Look at bands such as Nirvana who mostly rode the popularity of their genres, they ended up making some great tunes. Generalising quality by genre [heh] is mad - it describes the sound, not the content or integrity, and least of all the quality of the artists. I don't care how popular dubstep is, I don't care people like it, I just think the squabbling is ridiculous

  • I love "This Binary Universe". So mindblowingly amazing...

    Well named album too, Imho.

  • What's the deal with people hating on dubstep?

I love This Binary Universe - I'm not a big fan of BT's other work, but that's alright, just not my thing - But - And get this - I'm a big fan of dubstep. I'm a fan of Daft Punk. Of Deadmau5. Of Muse. Of Tool. I like a whole load of music, why must people feel it necessary to insult the tastes of other people? Everyone has their own tastes, and it's just a matter of personal preference. There's no need to be such a douche about it, y'know?

  • @ParasiticFlame

It's the whole "it's popular, so it sucks" thing.

  • Jeez you guys are so sensitive, maybe you should listen to dubstep, it's so dirty it could desensitise you to genocide

  • this track is perfect for a skateboarding video..just imagine...yeah

  • perfect

  • The entire song is intricate, it hurts my brain to even think of editing a song of this magnitude.

  • @eTranscendence woo you really have some personality issues, who fucking cares about your opinion on other music styles, dubstep has nothing to do with this, just let other music be for what it is and don't be crying on youtube in a childish "Stop liking, What I don't Like!!" kind of trend.

    Sad.

  • I saw this video show at Best Buy.

  • This music is on a level that in which most people cant understand. How can someone hate this?? This guy is a genius and is ahead of his time. YOU GOT SCHOOLED when you listened to this. Taught a lesson on the beauty of music and the endless possibilities that there are.

  • This whole collection is so much better than BT's other stuff.

  • whoa whats with the hatred of dubstep guys, i enjoy it when blazed, i love listening to this when shroomed. just enjoy.

  • @jyTiliDie most people love to hate.. at least they love something.. me? well for starters I love music and this video :) Don't know how anyone can have any part of them hate something while listening to this it really is sad.. I don't know how someone can possibly have a closed mind while listening and watching something like this I just dont get it!

  • awesome ^_^ thank you

  • @agemrepus I was responding to a brostepper who was putting this video and song down, but thanks for the sentiment.

  • ...Fucking fascinating video. Too bad there are not more videos like this that require a different way of thinking to understand and create.

  • Shrooms and this video :D

  • the video and song ;)

  • The video it's perfect

  • bt is a genius..............a true genius

  • this video is fucking wild on mushrooms

  • bt has cool hair ^_^

  • the single greatest song ever

  • fuckin love this.... just a song tht puts everything aside

  • Woah just got out of the Giant Peach, The world is amazing, think Im gonna hear and see more of heaven.

  • fucking beautiful.

  • We have to accept that music like this never gonna be mainstream, it never was. The shit that is on the charts unfortunately is a reflection of what majority of Human kind wants.

  • @BATHUMAN I'd rather it not go mainstream. going mainstream has a habit of completely destroying genres and robbing them of their merits.

  • arggg. why dont they sell this anywhere. can't even find the mp3. ill have to apparently reinstall torrent just to find this album.

  • It's truly sad that this, and the other songs on This Binary Universe have such little views. What the fuck is wrong with people? Think of how better the world would be if more people appreciated music like this, and less music like the meainstream crap they pump out now.

  • 9:09 what the hell is that lol

  • This video is trippier than any acid trip, and the music is better than any Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne, or Jay-Z song I have ever heard.

  • So weird, the music makes more sense and I have some how found myself in love with it.

  • This is what instrumental type of music is supposed to be like. As you listen to the whole album you can feel all of the emotions the sounds portray. The videos the groups made for this album are phenomenal. The music creates a story without needing any words.

    This IS GOOD stuff.

  • aaaaah 9:23!

  • Who the hell made this vid it's sick!!!!!

  • Minus the arguments. You cannot come onto a thread like this and compare a genre to BT. Appreciate the craftsmanship and let it be, because his sound is unique and something out of this world.

  • @jruzic3186 yes.

  • Maybe you should try listening to dubstep, it is truly subversive.

Dubstep is dirtier then hitlers oven

  • @TheHandsomeCrab

DUBSTEP? That fucking POS, shits just a fad. This is music at its finest, it doesnt get any better/realer than this.

Anyone ca make a dubstep track shits a simple 16 bar song and then it repeats itself with that wobble wobble bs.

  • @musicISlyf1 haha word, I listen to dubstep, both the more classic stuff like Mala and the brostep stuff this crab listens too, and I will admit, most brostep is really easy to produce. Its not hard to throw together a track and have it come out like Rusko because....well...Rusko is a trash producer.

  • this video is awesome, the robot in this reminds me of the one in Miyazaki's Laputa

  • the iron butterfly :D man this is one of the best BT animated character ever y love the part when the iron butterfly start to inhale air with his toung out :D

  • The robotlike creatures remind me of the Iron Giant . . .

  • Best song on the album, imo

  • @shammy1213 I don't know if you are referring to my dissection of the video or of handsomecrabs shitty musical existence.

  • omg! AWSOM3

  • Before i heard BT''s music i didn't think it was possible to find the music perfect for myself, a composer or artist who's tracks my musical soul was searching for. When i first heard this album my life was literally changed for ever. Some part of me realized that what i was listening to was truly the most evocative and powerful bodies of music i had ever and will ever hear.

  • It's beautiful. The music, the artwork, the intricate feeling of calm that BT puts in... if only more music was like this. You don't have to use drugs to enjoy this song to the fullest.

  • watching this on youtube doesn't give this video much justice. to truly appreciate the fine details you have to watch it on a blue ray disk and a 1080P tv. then it's beyond mind blowing.

  • " fly like a butterfly sting like a bee" understanding is only a part of it.

  • Who needs drugs when their effect can't come close to the trip that this music and video deliver?

  • @BigMTBrain

Because it is only in 480p...duh. haha

  • @brewskhee - Hmmm. Excellent point, Smithers. :D

  • I absolutely love this album and this track, but the youtube audio quality really does butcher it up :(

  • @TheHandsomeCrab i like this better :D

  • @TheHandsomeCrab I listen to that as well as this, don't limit yourself to a few kinds of music their is beauty in all of it...except Justin Bieber.

  • @TheHandsomeCrab

Yeah, super cool bro! I bet all the hella cool people listen to just Dubstep. I wish I was as cool as you man! I bet the Dubstep you listen to is the shitty and unoriginal endless parade of "Grimey" bilge being churned out in cookie cutter fashion by dubstep artists. With pompous breakdowns, egomaniacal voice samples about how awesome their track is supposed to be and overtly in your face "Try Hard" wobble bass, that becomes a cacophony of shit.

  • @eTranscendence that was incredible lmao

  • @eTranscendence hey would it be cool if instead of arguing on youtube, we all just got along and enjoyed whatever music we like? i'm a huge fan of dubstep. This stuff is great too! I feel like neither artists would want us arguing tho. I think this music is for us to enjoy! what do you think?

  • @eTranscendence YES, YES, YES, YOU ARE AWESOME

  • @eTranscendence I personally am indifferent about dubstep, however, you my good sir just made my day with that epic rant lol.

  • @eTranscendence epicly and awesomely put lol

  • @eTranscendence

One of my psychotic and insane pet hatreds is anything Dubstep. Dubstep is pure shit.

  • @M2490311 not all dubstep man....most of it is shit but there's some beautiful soulful dubstep out there....check out 'burial'

  • @eTranscendence Trance > House > Child Pornography > Shitstep

  • @TheHandsomeCrab since when justin bieber makes dubstep ?

  • @TheHandsomeCrab Dubstep is party music. This is intelligent music. We've all got preferences, and, I guess I'm a dork.

  • @TheHandsomeCrab Your cool buddy. Go back to your fucking frat house where you belong where you guys only electronic music playing is Dubstep and the Chemical Brothers. Grow the fuck up and appreciate music when you see it.

  • I was 9 years old in Year 5 when this album came out

    on September 5 2006.

  • I was 9 years old in 5th grade when this came out

    on September 5 2006.

  • Excellent analysis eTranscendence.

  • I have this on a DTS HD demo disc. It sounds incredible. Truly surrounds the listener with sound.

  • Everything in the video is an embodiment of dynamic symmetry, along with some encompassing concepts. First you have a flock of white doves, which are symbols of peace and the Holy Spirit in Christian theology and also have references in other cultures and religions. Then you have a bio-mechanical creature in flight with them which most likely represents not only a symmetry between humanities flesh and machine but also the human spirits desire for peace and freedom.

  • After a long flight they come upon and island with bright lights beckoning. The lounge scene again is replete with the symmetry. Leftfield jazz robots with faces awry in a manner reminiscent of Picasso's cubism seemingly trapped in a behavioral feedback loop. The scene then changes to a man floating in water with the reflection of the full moon in symmetry with his head, much in the same way it was with the flying creature. His facial outline melting into the moon and turning into an eye

  • This is clearly a representation of the "Third eye" or the spiritual eye. The scene changes again to spacial formations floating the night sky with a giant cloud of eyes atop a Venus De Milo-esque body. This again, is a symmetry between art, science and humanities desire to see everything in the universe. Again symmetry is achieved with galaxies being birthed by a giant machine. It continues until the end of the video.

  • @eTranscendence You are very intelligent having surmised so much form this film clip. I have always wondered what BT was trying to say through this and i think you opened my eyes to it so to speak.

  • This album is the best album to get high to!

  • @Shikari21 get the fuck off your weed u think this music was created by using drugs?

  • Wow, this video is strangely inspirational.

  • You know this song starts smooth with synthesizers from 0:10 then 0:55 thunder comes at 1:02 then 1:24 a baby cries and the music gets loud at 1:28 then it loud at 1:48

    then drums start at 2:03

  • What's there to understand? Think of it like a dream.

  • @psychoticline I agree. This is the single best visual interpritation of the dream world i've ever seen

  • I have tried to understand this music video, but I can't

  • oh yay, I was debating about uploading this, thanks
