Just to check. Have you guys ever been offered your own radio show? I'm thinking of David Sanborn's old jazz show on NBC Radio. Can't get for you. But if you do get an offer, you should consider it. It would definately help to stop the corporate sameness that's on these days :).
Hi! Yes, I am here. Sorry for delay in responding. I don't check here often enough. This is a clip from "Ron Kobayashi Trio Live at Steamers" available through Carpet Cat Records.
My wife got me this DVD for Valentine's Day and I watched it for the first time today.
What a GREAT disc! Every jazz fan should have this DVD, seriously.
I was pleasantly surprised at the sound quality of the disc as well. These 3 mesh so well and are excellent musicians in their own right. I love how the crowd gets it and digs them as well.
The Fbass AC5 is such a nice sound for this combo.
The bass player is fantastic, as is his Fbass AC5. Notice how he plays over the fingerboard when he is walking under the piano solo, then how he plays over his bridge pickup when he solos to articulate it better. So expressive and tasty! WELL DONE! 5 starts, AND...
I just emailed my wife to let her know this DVD would be a great gift idea for me! :-)
Amazing !! What a good time I had listening to this group. They were grooving with the beat all the way. Not a dead spot heard in this stellar performance.
Thanks for checking out this snippet from our DVD called The Ron Kobayashi Trio "Live at Steamers." It is produced and directed by Sonny Shinji Nishiuchi and is available on www.dvdjazz.com. Also, thanks to my jazz piano student Isaac Su for uploading this to Youtube. You can also check out Issac's video of him sitting in with my trio by clicking on his link.

Hi!
Thank you for the comment Bob! You are way too kind. I wish I had 1/100th the jazz chops of those guys.
Whereis, I do remember that show. I watched it every week. Someone should produce a similar show on the internet at least. How about you?
Thanks for watching!
