@Feltwo the HTC may be better, but it's all personal preference. i love COMPLETE touch screens. i don't like the fact that the HTC has a keyboard. but it is all preference. i have a Palm Pre, and i am sick of the keyboard. plus i just water logged it so the touch screen does not work so i am currently saving some money up for an Iphone 3gs.

Not sure what AT&T did to your TP2, but mine from O2 boots WAY faster. Also the browser takes max. 2 seconds loading a website on mine. not like yours, about 15. And the nokia, well, it's symbian. Same shit it has ever been.

how can u compare Iphone to Touch Pro 2 its like comparing apples and oranges. touch pro2 and n97 are business phones and iphone is entartainment. it depends on the preferences.

It's also hard to judge if you use one of the 3 devices yourself. Personally I use the Motorola Droid as my main device so I don't have any motivation to rate one device over the next, just reporting what I see. I'm guessing you are a long time Windows Mobile user and probably had the Touch Pro and TyTN before that?

I'm just basing things on how they perform in the real world. When you use the devices side-by-side Windows Mobile is just sluggish in basic tasks. The UI is nice on TouchFLO 3D, but it doesn't make up for the lag when opening text messages or switching between apps.

The problem I have with Windows Mobile in general is that compared to an Android device if you do the same functions side-by-side you notice the lag. For a long-time Windows Mobile user I'm sure they've dealt with it, but I'm use to apps opening instantly.

Windows Mobile was my focus for a long time, but I pretty much gave up on it after the original Touch Pro. I expected a lot more performance in the TP2, but unfortunately the hardware (processor/ram) didn't get the upgrade it deserved.

Lol what does booting time have to do with quality of phone? Iphone barely has any apps that come with the phone, look at the tp2 comes with word, excel, powerpoint, and tv out.

Boot time is a big deal if you've ever used a Blackberry and pulled out the battery to wait 5 minutes haha...

You are right there are more preloaded apps on the TP2, but the iPhone has endless numbers of free apps and quality pay apps -- app store has set the bar for smartphone application quality imo.

this is the most biased review there is. First of all you're not using the right browser on tp2, second the other phones aren't even in the same category as the tp2 because they are NOT designed for business use. Nokia and the iphone are for teeny boppers who just want all out entertainment.

Prices are way different here in Holland.

If I want to buy a Iphone 3GS 32 Gb without a carrier it costs me 1300 euro's. (1900 dollar at the moment)

While a HTC Touch Pro 2 or Nokia N97 costs me about 700 euro's. (1024 dollar )

That's why I have chosen for the TP2...

Of course all of them are great devices.

I like the HTC's keyboard and size. The faster processor might be good, but the WiFi delay sort of cancels it. I like the larger screen, but the lack of flash keeps it from being my choice.

The iPhone needs a hardware QWERTY and a flash. My N82 has a better browser and a much better camera.

For the price of the N97 on Amazon, I'd just go ahead and get the N900.

As far as performance goes I would stick with the N97 or iPhone 3GS. The Touch Pro2 just can't keep up with the other two phones since the processor hasn't been updated since the Touch Pro. I would wait it out for the HD2 if I really wanted a Windows Mobile 6.5 device.
