I have a dell inspiron 17r and it's a very good gaming computer. The 15r and 14r have 2x less processors, and less RAM so for gaming a 17r is great. Another good feature about the 17r is that the keyboard keys are spaced out a little more so it's better for typing too. So mostly the bigger the computer the better the gaming, but for gaming just get a desktop if you're a heavy gamer on pc's.

the 15r and 17r are the exact same infact only the top 2nd-gen 17r is equal to the best 2nd-gen 15r so you basically pay two hundred bucks more for 2 inches more of screen. and they both have quad core and 8gb ram

the laptop is rubish, common faults,

1. the charger port is too loose,it slips out & its based on the back

2. the main fault is da touchpad, 100% users will suffer from this problem, somtimes the touchpad never registers, overall its not accurate.

3. the graphics are so rubish its like watching it from a blury screen.

4. is the sound speakers, they are based under the laptop, so when you put your laptop on your lap, the speakers get covered and sounds very dull,

@orlandoknow the difference between the 14r and 15ris the screen size. 14 inch or 15 inch. So it's just the size, I'm guessing you already know that. Hope this helps.

@CPHarrios457 IT do have, Dell Inspirons is work laptops so there are 2 types of them that go to markets, Some with no windows for companies to use Windows XP As they use old programs. And some comes with Windows 7.

And drivers are with the both types. I got one.
