It is the parks fault. They are pressing charges on the operator, but really he shouldn't be put in a position where he can space out and harm someone, because the net wasn't up yet. The net should always be up or the machine be disabled until safe. I wouldn't let my kid go on one ride if the safety depended on the operator. Can a roller coaster operator release the safety rails on the cars while you are upside down? I'm sure they are locked while in operation. This ride should be the same.

To those leaving negative and insulting comments toward the girl, grow the f*** up already! This was not her fault. She's 12 years old for God's sake! She's a child, yet you're all making fun of her. There are PLENTY of adults who weigh a hell of a lot more than her who came off this ride safely. And even if she did weigh 400lbs or some crazy weight as you all ASSUME, they should have a weight limit that says she can't ride the ride.

I can't understand the idea of the girl or parent being at fault. Have your brakes fixed, pull into traffic, they fail - Your fault uhhhh NO.

The equipment was not setup correctly = operator err. Equipment did not have a back safety feature. = improper design.Was likely ran by a glassy eyed kid.

On the second episode of that show one of those guys does a free fall in the grand canyon with a motor cycle.. that idiot pulls out his chute way late like maybe 10 meters from the ground :s

He hits the ground pretty hard and just stands up like nothing happend :D
