i had no idea roaches could jump. they fly and run and creep, but jump? well, scared ass me stepped on a huge one. while it pretended to be dead, i ran upstairs screaming my lungs out, waking my hubby up at 2am. when he went down to catch the "burgular," and realized it was a roach. i turned on the light and that bastard popped up and kept popping (at least a foot in the air) all over the carpet. i ran.
it was trying to flip over. if a cockroach finds itself on its back while on a smooth surface, it'll have difficulty flipping right-side up.
also, while a cockroach might possibly survive a nuclear blast, it has a good possibility of dying shortly afterwards. there are other insects that have a better chance of survival, though
it probably already had poison in its system, cockroaches in my kitchen floor often do that. they walk funny, standing on the tips of their legs instead of spread out and every now and then they spaz out and repeat.
HAHAHAHA I saw cockroaches do the same thing twice in front of my eyes! They're fucking smart the bastards!
