  • where are the ghosts i only see a bunch of dead people

  • ah, now im dizzy.. not a bad video though.

  • Elizabeth NJ!!!

  • editing was ok but that is all in this video sorry but i did not like...

  • I dunno this came off as a fan version of the Sopranos opening......thats just me though...

  • I love the choppy effect, it goes great with the music! The colors and scenes are really visually interesting. I do agree with others that it doesn't demand constant interest. I like how signs and the word Metroplitan pop up. Adding in more words/distinctive objects like that would break up the visual battery enough to keep the viewer deeply absorbed in it I think. Either way, great work!

  • Probably the longest montage ever...thats it you spend way to much time on one thing! Good stuff but is that it?

  • I think alot of this footage would be great when used with something else. Alot of these videos seem to have this problem...they are good pieces but not enough to stand on their own. There needs to some emotion or thoughts conveyed by the piece. The music is abstract enough...the footage needs to channel that music into something.

  • I agree that the piece is lacking in real content, but i was approaching it as a textural, not a content driven piece. This is a style I've been working with for a couple of years now, and while I and those who were there find it visually interesting, it tends to loose something to the average viewer. I enjoy experimenting with digital photography and editing it into video, but I'm still struggling with giving it a more mainstream appeal. thanks for the comments.

  • Well that comes off as kinda snotty...but I do know what you mean. Keep working on it for us knuckle heads! Are you going to put up some more videos for other songs?

  • This is really well edited :)

  • Like many have already said, this style is often used, but you branwolf, managed to do it really well. Good editing. :)

  • well there have been similar-esque videos, in the sense of the type of footage used. HOWEVER the pacing, editing and overall presentation of this video is endearing to me and i like it :)

  • 1:43 - Lost

  • this makes me miss new jersey, and I'm a new yorker...

  • personally, it reminded of behind the scenes footage of 'closer' [halo 12]; from the tour footage, that is.

  • My first thought exactly. But I'm afraid to say that may be the only reason why I like it. I kind of get tired of this sort of hard-to-watch video style, but at least it matches the feel of the music.

Loads better than a 3 minute lens flair :)

  • While it may not be very original, I still like its style, and I've been to that Ikea too, so that makes the second film festival video in which I've been to those locations! My favorite part was the dirt and rock mound that hugs the highway - the photos just started to mesh together.

  • Can you send me their links? I'd like to see them.

    Thanks

  • Not all of us have video cameras.

I for one am doing a video in a similar style, as I am a photographer with an expensive D-SLR rather than someone with a good video camera.

So what if the style has been done? It's a great video and goes well with the song.

  • Alright, I hear you, I'm not trying to shoot anyone down. Just I feel if you are going to be doing this at least a little more effort should be put into it. It does have a cool look don't get me wrong... Hey we got a few months to do this. I'm not trying to judge, anyones creativity... and even though it is similar to one other(pardon my exaggeration with "3") it is the better one.

    All apologies.
