@Smilehpants In my opinion, the point of a cover song isn't to replicate the original artist, but to take a song that you love, and make it your own. My favorite covers are similar in that respect. You're entitled to your own opinion obviously, and I don't care if you hate the band, but I just feel that the reason you're citing is a bit narrow-minded.
