Those comments are posted online as pdfs with you name, address, email address and yes your phone number. This is the dirty little secret NRDC fails to tell you. Deepwater Horizon was working 5000 feet below the surface, if it were a shallow drill site we could have repaired the leak much faster and easier. Of course I don't. But it would seem Green Day would want Government agencies to do such, when they would seem to do contrary. Its really easy to say other people should buy hybrids and never do so yourself as far as I know. Putting one in a music video would be the place to do it if its about spreading a message, rather than just having some obscure link on your website that says you care all about the environment while you do nothing, unless there is something they did.

A.The car they were driving in the holiday music video wasn't a hybrid, and Tre Cool mentioned his dad drove them in a buss, so their advice is either insincere or only half hearted. B. Green Day is probably just reading what to say so why listen to them say it. C. Theres a great documentary called the Great Global Warming Swindel with REAL scientists that would seem to debunk the theory of global warming being a man made thing or an abnormal reaction .

It takes MORE energy to make ethanol. Where do we get that energy? Nuclear Power Plants. Where does the nuclear waste go? Down into bunkers in the desert... to remain radioactive for 10,000+ years.
Switching cars won't do crap. We first need to tap into wind, tidal, and thermodynamic power to replace nuclear reactors. Once that's completed, we would have cleaner methods for generating the energy we need to make ethanol and charge electric cars.

We could also use a caret. Free recharging stations for 100% electric cars, built in every Government owned Rest Stop.

There's two sides to every coin and story.
It takes MORE energy to make ethanol. Where do we get that energy? Nuclear Power Plants. Where does the nuclear waste go? Down into bunkers in the desert... to remain radioactive for 10,000+ years.
Switching cars won't do crap. We first need to tap into wind, tidal, and thermodynamic power to replace nuclear reactors. Once that's completed, we would have cleaner methods for generating the energy we need to make ethanol and charge electric cars.
