One thing I love about Metallica and other bands such as Avenged Sevenfold is their lack of musical bias. They will try anything that expresses what they want to express, no matter what people think. It is not commonplace for a metal band to try playing with an orchestra. That is part of what makes Metallica so unique and incredible.

@m4tti942 Why the sad face at 2:59? Lars was just releasing the hi-hat back down so he didn't have to hold it with his foot... When you play the drums on a conventional drum kit, if you step on the pedal for the hi-hat, it locks it again and when you raise your foot up it seperates the two cymbals. If you try playing it that way, it will sound like ass unless you either force it back down, or release it at the collar.
