Peter didn't request to be crucified upsidedown. He asked to be crucified. Nero decided to put it upsidedown so that Peter would not die in the fashion as Jesus Christ.
@TheAJOlding It's amazing how often people just make up random claims in order to defend Crowder, Does it even phase you that your story contradicts Eusebius? Or are you just so enamored by Crowder that you believe anything he says?
I actually really like Steven Crowder, there are some things about his views on Obamacare that I am a bit apprehensive of, but overall its nice to see a fresh, quirky, young person sticking it to liberals!
I do like Steven Crowder, and agree with him on many thing, but he is historically incorrect on many issues here. The Nazis did use the Toten Rune which dose look like a peace symbol. The Toten Rune was the pagan Symbol of Death. They put it on Tomb Stones to show the date of death. The SS used the Leben Rune also a Pagan symbol for the elk,and also known as the life Rune. The Nazis used many Pagan Symbols including the swastika. None of wich have any thing to do with the peace,or anti christian.
this dumb ass is wrong and steven is right nero did come up with the peace sign go to almost any hystory web page and you can find the 70s dumb ass he says that really made took it from a artist from the 1600s "detori" so you dirt welfare state loveing hippie go to some socialist country cause no one beliveves your bullshit they are stupid over there they do
@ugotcatfish if you are saying people from other countries are stupid you should know that america isn't the smartest country, and are you saying you hate all poor people? steven is an unfunny hack working for fox news, just listening to him make fun of the hippies by making a gay accent at 0:40 shows his true feelings
I can't understand why Crowder gets so much of a positive feedback.
After watching a couple of his neo-conservative propaganda videos I was expecting his videos to get loads of dislikes and for people to be owning the shit out of him in the comments. But the reality is, he gets so much of a positive feedback with dogmatic right-wing support in the comments of his videos.
The guy is a moron.
I think he must watch the Glen Beck show and wonder how he can be even worse than Beck.
Kind of makes sense liberals following blindly without actually knowing the facts.
Same thing when they call thermselves by some sign (horoscope) as their birthdate when by the precession- these signs have moved out of their original positions (for thousands of years).
This is what liberals are. They do what they are told, have no analytical thinking skills to come to rational conclusions, but are told things by the socialist agenda without researching and trust our enemies.
Of course someone like Crowder would mix up the peace symbol, designed after the semaphore code for the letters C, N, and D for Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament and St. Peter's Cross, which is an inverted Latin Cross, on which St. Peter was crucified because he felt he wasn't worthy to be crucified right-side-up like Jesus. (So not only Crowder is doing it wrong but so are satanists.)
@antybu86 Its no imagination peter did want to be crucified upside down but how could a cross like the one Jesus was on be able to support to support its self if it did not look like the peace sign?
@Freelancer581 Quote "Its no imagination peter did want to be crucified upside down but how could a cross like the one Jesus was on be able to support to support its self if it did not look like the peace sign" Unquote. - Eh? In the same way that a cross with the horizontal beam higher up the veritcal manages to do it.
@antybu86 You're actually both right (well as far use goes). But the peace symbol was around long before Hitler. But whether or not it was a simple coinsidence is the real question.
@Baronstone So going back to the original sources isn't enough for you, eh? Well, feel free to point me to a website or book by a primary source or a credible historian... and, no, conspiracy websites don't count (sorry).
@Freelancer581 Um ... no. Actually, while I dislike some of Crowder's views, I do like other views, and in this vid antybu86 actually did good research and made a decent point. That is what debates are suppose to be like.
So @antybu86, good catch. Many religiophiles are like that though and it does not surprise me that he used an extremist's version of history.
Crowder, like most comedians who talk politics, over-simplifies issues while distorting facts.
For example, violence didn't "free the slaves," it started a war which destroyed race-relations in America from being like those in other countries, to becoming about the world's worst.
Likewise the War Betwen the States only EMPOWERED the federal government that he claims to hate so much, making it from a republic of sovereign states, into an imperial RINO with global expansions.
steven crowder would not be a beatles fan, jesus christ I'm beginning to think he's a demon or something, well he does enjoy sucking the devils cock quite a bit (fox news)
Crowders main point was about war.... You spent about 1 minute flashing meaningless words while he was talking, and then went to talk about the peace symbol for 1 minute and 45 seconds. You yourself actually only addressed the issue of war for about 15 seconds. Steven Crowder talked about the peace symbol for about 25 seconds. I find it interesting as to how you consider his 25 seconds of a supposedly inaccurate talk about the peace symbol a "War on Peace".
@Drgamedood Debunked? Nah! This just flashed bullsh#t alert and ranted on bs. Crowder actually uses facts and figures. And in case you didn't notice, the peace symbol is hypocritical, and actually was created by Nero, then plagarized by Gerald Holtom. John Lennon himself was a hypocrite.
@KatherineElisabeth1 Hate? No... Crowder is just factually incorrect. You may think he's "fantastic," but don't you think it's a bit pathetic that he is incapable of admitting when he's wrong?
the above website appears to harbor some interesting material, including the origins of similar shapes and even hand gestures. Of course, given the free reign of internet posting, there's no real guarantee that the 'facts' are reliable, but it seems at least a bit more stable than most. Try googling 'Nero's broken Cross'; it should be the first link that pops up. Hope it helps!
Author, you sound like a gay little college student that believes everything his college professors tell him. Violence is justifiable when used against aggression, thats what he did mean by that. But hippies and peace activists believe in talking and using diplomacy with terrorists and dictators when they actually deserve an ass kicking. He meant peace through superior fire power, not gay ass, pansy flower power.
The guy in video isnt fucking serious on Destroying peace, you dumb fucking idiot. Author, you're a complete dumb ass liberal douche, why dont you just stfu and go smoke some pot.
yes, because putting the WORD BULLSHIT in front of someone speaking means you dont have to have any coherent arguments. And yes that was the peace symbols commision, but the design (the peace symbols design) was used in the ways Crowder describes it. And no mention of upside V-shape? An upside down cross with the arms extended upwards IS A V SYMBOL! And the cross of St. Peter and Nero's cross are two different things. And Crowder was argueing that people who advocate peace often do so naively.
We agree on one thing. Our goal should be to reduce human suffering and war. Crowder's (and my) view is that piece is not attained by tolerating those who wish you dead, and then blaming the people who do not agree with them for their violence. Btw as a Christian who has studied this, I can tell you the peace symbol was formed by Nero as propaganda and a symbol of fallen Christians. Which he blamed all war and evil on. You may not use it that way, but the hippies who made it popular did.
@Dimachaerii Okay, since you have studied this then I hope you could give me a scholarly source. So far the only sources I've gotten were from crackpot conspiracy websites.
@antybu86 I would try biblical references and scholars to find out about Nero and his symbol. The man burned half of Rome persecuting Christians. Just as the hippies did in the '60, he blamed all violence on Christians. They did it for different reasons though. Nero was a murderer, and he sucked at military campaigns. Any time something went wrong; he blamed Christians. Hippies did it because apparently the person who does not tolerate violence is the source of the violence. Hippies...
@Dimachaerii There are no mentions of "Nero's Cross" in the Bible, so I'm not sure what you're talking about. Can you give me specific sources or not?
@funkydanieluk Christians look at it as the cross of Peter. Nero used it as a symbol to mark the defeat of Christians, hippies used it to represent that peace would exist if it weren't for Christians, now it's looked on as the peace symbol. It's a matter of context. You are right, but not entirely. Symbols, words, etc are left up to interpretation, and their meanings will change.
"I would try biblical references and scholars to find out about Nero and his symbol. The man burned half of Rome persecuting Christians. Just as the hippies did in the '60, he blamed all violence on Christian"
There is no "Nero's Cross" in the Bible. No historian found a Nero Cross. Crowder copied this from conservative web pages.
This video shows the history of the peace symbol. Why dont you comment on that? Did you even look up Gerald Holtom?
@Dimachaerii Actually the cause of the fire is unknown. However at that time the majority of private, civil and government buildings were made of timber and the fire occured in July making its spread easier. Nero was the victim of many accusations due to his status. He went to rome immediatly upon hearing the news and used money of his own as well as his own praetorians to fight the fire.
@Dimachaerii To be more specific on a source, you could try googling Grady Brown and some of his work. You may not find what your looking for, but he has written great books and was an excellent spiritual mentor at my church. He might have some more specific information than I can pull of the top of my head.
@Cogitatio023 I assume your history book explicitly states Nero did none of those things. Or are you insinuating that my statements of fact are untrue because you have not heard them and disagree with them?
@Dimachaerii No, I disagree with you because you are wrong. The symbol you are talking about is not "Nero's cross" It is called the Toten-Rune,or Death rune it is a pagan symbol it represented death. The Waffen ss did use this symbol on there graves, but it has nothing to do with Nero,or the Christians. Also Nero never blamed war on Christians, nor did he burn Rome.
@Cogitatio023 Are you crazy?! One of the very things Nero is famous for is how he sat in his palace playing the fiddle while he burned half of Rome to dispose of Christians. He burned Christians at the stake claiming they were the cause of all war. And like I said, symbols' meanings will change upon context. A backwards "N" is the Anglo-Saxon letter "S". And it's also the curse mark on Harry Potters forehead... Crowder is pointing out that hippies used the symbol the same way Nero did.
@Dimachaerii Nero was not even in Rome when it burnt. There is also very little evidence to back up that he burnt Christians. Nero never used that symbol. Nero's cross dose not exists.Well I have yet to see any evidence of it.The lighting bolt is also a pagan rune for victory. I agree with Crowder on much of what he said, but he is wrong on his history.P.S If you know of any books, website or documents that show evidence of Nero's cross I would love to take a look.
@Cogitatio023 This website gives you a full cover of the people who made the peace symbol popular, what they used it for, and where they claimed it originated. Google "Illuminati News the peace symbol." As far as records of Nero's persecution of Christians, you can look at the work of Nestorius, and the Bible has many recordings of his persecutions. Also, Nero was not in Rome, but the story is always told that he played the fiddle. Poetically describing how he didn't care.
@Dimachaerii LOL Nero did not "play the fiddle" an instrument whose ancestor was not even around until the 9th century. That he was doing anything in particular mentioned by observers of the time while Rome burned is now doubted by any serious historian as being fact. Most stories are down to later invetive minds or those who had an agenda
@DRDFOX We know that! I know that! The legend was that he fiddled. The actual belief of the people of Rome was that he sang of the fall of Troy while playing the lyre. Btw I thought the fiddle wasn't invented until 15th or 16th century? I could be wrong though. I'm tired of arguing facts, and trying to appease every little question; it's silly. For the love of doughnuts, do some research. People like Crowder and I don't make this stuff up. There are times we wish we were wrong.
@Dimachaerii Yes, you are right about the 15/16 century but I said "ancestor" of the insturment as in a similar bow played string device to aovid someone pointing this out. Corwder may not be making it up but he is rlelying on spurious sources.
@Dimachaerii You're just romanticizing a historical fact. Nero was a crazy megalomaniac and burned Rome, because he wanted to build a large complex himself in the heart of the city. Therefore he needed a scapegoat, and by coincidende, the small sect that called themselves christians during that time had to do the job. He didn't care about the fact that they were christian as badly as you make it seem.
@thatsmyrail The building Nero wished to construct was called a pantheon. A temple dedicated to all the Roman gods. Also, the people of that time did not call themselves Christians. The Romans called them Christians, and it was meant to be derogatory. The Christians at that day actually called themselves "Followers". There was room Rome to build his pantheon elsewhere. It's almost like the mosque on ground zero. Nero killed the Christians then added insult to injury with the pantheon.
@Dimachaerii It was mainly a palace, called the Domus Aurea. I looked it up in my old latin course, and it states that it isn't even a historical fact that he burned Rome himself, but based on doubtful rumours. There isn't any sign of historical proof for it.
@thatsmyrail We know he gave the order for Rome to burn. The rumors that circulated were that he set the fire himself. Which we now know to be false. He claimed the Christians had started the fire. After all, the land he burned belonged to aristocrats. He'd have some questions to answer if they knew it was his fault. In ancient Rome it was legal to have your own personal army, if you could afford it. Hence the Roman civil war after Caesar was murdered.
Here's something interesting...the theory that the peace symbol was associated with the Nazis and the communists was first put forward by the John Birch Society, a radical far right group according to Wiki. Wiki also mentions one of the founding members of the JBS was Fred Koch, founder of Koch industries. Koch industries fund many of the right wing think tanks today, including the ones that pay the company Crowder works for, Pajamas media, a rightwing media group to air their views.
War is the most disgusting thing man has come up with, it should take a hugely extreme threat to initiate war, most of the problems can be solved peacefully, i don't agree on everything in this video but peace can solve most things.
I fucking hate this Crowder asshole, I would beat the shit out of him on sight. Anyone who dresses and wears their hair like him is gay, gay, gay and stupid as hell. He should dig his own grave and then I Will kill him with the shovel. Watch that asshole shake his neck around like some scumbag on Jerry Springer. Ugh.
@lilpeaceacrap 7 billion people on this planet there Mr. Passion of the Christ, do you think anyone would miss that fucking idiot Crowder? I bet if I filmed his murder the likes would outnumber the dislikes, I could stick my arm up thru his rib cage and use him like a dummy. Maybe even make his head shake back and forth
@demonorse Um . . . I like facts. And logic. And statistics.
The thing with you liberals is, you're delusional. It's like trying to argue with a 9/11 conspiracy theorist who is mentally unstable. You just shake your head and make up stories to try to cover up the fallacy in your thought processes because you can't handle the fact that your entire upbringing, morals and beliefs are based on lies and half-truths.
@ZERO1344 Ha ha ha, I guess I'm not your typical liberal. I also own a gun and I'm anti-union. Too bad I don't love everyone like the conservatives do! But really, do you see the common thread among the comments here? People want to beat and maim Crowder, I don't care what ideology he espouses, he is a irritating human being. I also have relatives who happen to be gay, but they would never support a political philosophy that would deny them basic rights.
@demonorse You criticize him for wanting to "deny someone basic right", yet you wish to deny him the basic right of life. You see the common thread among idiots? (seeing as you're not a liberal you must just be an idiot.) Hypocrisy.
@ZERO1344 Uh, where did I say I wasn't a liberal? Idiot? Look at your own channel doofus. I still say Crowder is such an asshole he inspires murderous impulses, not just in me. Read the rest of this page. BTW, I wasn't criticizing him about the basic rights thing, I was criticizing you! Your gay yet you support republicans. Do you hate yourself?
@demonorse I'm not gay. I asked what was wrong with being gay. However, on the topic of homosexuality and Republicans, I assume you're talking about gay marraige, which is a fun topic to school people on.
Who created marraige? That's right. NOT the government. Religion did. Therefore it is within the rights of religious institutions to decide who can and can't marry.
Preempting what you're about to say about religious zealotry, I'm an athiest, so don't even go there.
@Seleucus84 It's that smirk. That insipid, obnoxious expression that lets you know that this person is light years up their own ass. Seeing someone with that expression fills me with the intense urge to clean it off of their face using violent and repeated blows.
Whoever made this video should look up Nordic runes (specifically the life rune) which is identical to the peace symbol with the minor difference that its upright, since, well, lefties love doing things the wrong way. Steven is right in suggesting the left's fascination with distorting reality and history. I don't know on the Bolsheviks so I won't talk about it. But the Aryan mother care department and the SS divisions did use an upright peace symbol. I think about looking for that info.
@9VirtuesKeeper I am well aware of the rune you're talking about. Not only is the symbol you're talking about facing the wrong direction, but it also has no circle around it. So, essentially you have no reason to think that particular Rune has anything to do with the Peace Symbol than the letter "Y."
Besides, what the hell does that Rune have to do with Nazis and Nero?
@antybu86 I'm pointing out your mistake on just ruling the symbol's similarities out as mere coincidences. Nero was the most anti-christian Roman Caesar and he did use them as scapegoats all the time, much like socialists do now days. Now go ahead and post that I said Nero was a socialist. Crowder points out the wrongs and hypocrisy of the "peace" movement mentality. Even tho' the matter of the symbol examples he used can be debated in detail, the message is correct and should be the focus.
Wrongs and hypocrisy of the peace movement? Why because they use a symbol that has nothing to do with any of these other movements? Your grasping here bud. I suggest you take a step back and look at how pathetic your argument really is before you proceed to make a fool of yourself.
@Seleucus84 Pfft.. please. The hypocrisy is them talking about how they want peace and happiness for all , but off course after they terminate everybody who doesn't think same as them like their glorious ideal kindly suggests. The symbol thing is secondary here and even then I give Crowder the benefit of the doubt since progressives use deception for pretty much everything. They can not be trusted. Think about it, bub.
Yeah I thought about it, your us vs them, and people who have a different worldview to you are evil mentality indicates that you are the one who is brainwashed.
@antybu86 Well the Nazis did use the Leben Rune/Life rune, but all it means is elk. There is also something called the toten rune,or death rune. The Nazis also used that, but it has absolutely nothing to do with the peace symbol, nor anything to do with Nero.
@antybu86 I was just reading about Nazis and Runes in The World Encyclopedia of Flags and Heraldry by Alfred Znamirowski et al. and the Nazis seemed to have a thing for all runes. It was part of the occult beliefs and use in Nazi heraldry. Most of these Runes did end up being distorted from what was most likely benign mystical uses. But twisting of symbols is nothing new. Symbols are culture dependent. Steven here doesn't seem to understand that. good video by the way
Whoever made this video needs to pull the sand out of his mangina.
Seriously, Crowder is the bad guy? Seriously?
I'm guessing no. You are all butt-hurt because he attacked your poorly founded full of crap liberal roots. It's ok to be a liberal, just keep quiet so the adults can talk. Shsssh
@1arock87 Too true. They actually believe little technicalities in detailed explanation can defend their flawed ideal. Its getting to the point where its more pity what I feel than disgust.
And you beleive sounding like you know what you are talking about actually means you do know what you are talking about, go suck some more chowder cock, better yet give the idiot your money that's what he truly wants.
@Seleucus84 And off course the imbecile of the exchange had to show up. How could he not. Give him my money? what the hell are you talking about? You surely don't even have the brain to understand what its being talked about here. That's what makes you angry. Why do you even bother in writing if you're not even talking about the subject at hand, kid? What a waste of space in this world. Just go and save yourself the embarrassment.
@Seleucus84 And off course the imbecile of the exchange had to show up. How could he not. Give him my money? what the hell are you talking about? People, he is what you call a sheep.
Haha try me fucker. Chowder has no clue what he is going on about, and you just defend him because he sounds smart to your puny intellect, Sheep, muah? talk about projection.
1. Peace, why is he against it?
2. Why make up "facts' then try to join them together to support an idiotic viewpoint i.e. the peace symbol is evil, why would you even bother?
3. Chowder makes a living preying on fools like you, he gets paid by political think tanks to say what he says.
BTW "kid" mate your the same age as me, fuck me dead the head on some of these clowns. The ego and the brainwashing must make up for your lack of actual intellect.
@9VirtuesKeeper Maybe you should take a better look at Nordic runes. The The Leben Rune, life rune is the symbol of the elk.Yes the Nazis did you this symbol, but that means nothing. The pagans also had a rune called the Toten-Rune,or death rune which looks like a peace symbol with out the circle. Tho it has nothing to do with the Peace symbol.
@Cogitatio023 Wrong. The counter culture movement of the 60's, even tho' powered by atheist marxism, had to have a nice, good, warm thingy feeling about it to survive scrutiny. Enter the spiritual side of it. It is born of neo-pagan believes. That is to make good strong pagan religions into earth mother, feminist, moral-less, spiritual guide to weak minds. Paganism of all sorts, even if not in its pure form (for it would be anti-socialist) did play a huge part in the mindless 60's mobs.
@9VirtuesKeeper Could you state what I am wrong about?Every thing I stated are facts. There is no need to bring up atheism. The hippy movement had very little to nothing to do with pagan believes.
@Cogitatio023 You are wrong about the hippie movement having nothing to do with paganism. Paganism is completely opposite from 60s counterculture movement. Ancient pagans would absolutely HATE hippies. Specially since they say all paganism was homosexual-loving religions. Still, the hippie culture does take its spiritual part from their (wrong) perception of pagan believes. Earth mother, children of the sun crap. Old pagans would have declared war on hippies as soon as they came out of the mud.
Crowder is not anti-peace, he's just saying that it's unrealistic to assume that War doesn't solve anything and that Peace is always the answer. In order to come up with this theory you'd have to pretty much ignore actual History. Reading up on historical facts is not something that young people do much- so it's no coincidence that its generally the young & naive that buy this stuff. When people get older and live REAL life, they start to realize that this is all BS & not realistic.
And violence not just sometimes answers things needed to be answered but actually most of the time.
How do you respond to 9-11? is it "Oh well maybe we can have peace with the insane radicals and maybe theyll stop it." or is it " Those insane radicals need to be stopped, and will pay for their actions."
If you choose peace you let many people die from future terrism. Choose war and people die in war..... peace is not often the answer.
Well think about it .... if peace overtakes the world pacifists would want to keep it that way. So what if a group start an arguement wih another group? How do you keep peace? Are they both right so the fighting ends or do the side with one side and anger the other which of course means the end of that peace.... SO think about it does lead to destroy views of right and wrong...
@angrydead Well its a little extream to turn "violence solves more than peace" to "im a servent to pagan god of war".... Tell me would pacifists have stopped ww1, ww2, 9-11 , sudam huisane, American revolution, and really so much more?
@Eliot8989 Crowder pretty much see's war as awesome he states so in the video, the Christian ideal is to avoid violence unless absolutly neccisary and even then it's implied we as humans have messed up by being in that situation. Usually the only war which is considered tolerable are wars of defence. Crowder not only relishes the idea of war and violence but mocks those who support peace, he's clearly worshipping the wrong god. Are you?
@angrydead I believe in the only God. But you went over my question. When could pacifists have helped in those situations? And what if violence is what is necessary ,without any other chooses, more than peace?
Yes your right nobody stopped 9-11 ufotunatly, but I used the wrong word there. What I meant to put in there was how it was to be handled. But im not a fan of war at all I just know that in alot of instances (if not most) it is unfortunatly necessary.
@Eliot8989 christianity is a higher calling not of the world of sin, you are occasionally expected to eat it for your faith. Unrealistic? perhaps but that's where 'faith' comes in. Their's also a big jump between war is occasionally neccisary to thinking it a 'solution', mocking those who strive for peace not to mention the fact he clearly relishes violence (he does more but let's not get drawn in here)
Unless you have a crystall ball trying to 'solve' situations with war is absurd.
@angrydead Ok call me stupid but I didnt understand the first part of what you said.. And im not mocking im just bein realistic... Again I dont like war and I dont like people dieing. However to get out of most problems it requires some sort of force that probably wouldnt be considered peaceful.
Again to me your seeming to avoid the fact that violence not only helped those situation that I listed before but alot more that I didn list.
@Eliot8989 If you don't get what I mean then I can't really take you seriously as a Christian.
You're missing the point you can't justify war on what may or may not happen unless you have the ability to percieve the future then stating "well ww2 was good" is a moot observation. What about the thousands of other conflicts which where a complete disaster?
@angrydead Well nobody said Christians were perfect so im sorry I cat understand what you were trying to say there. What were these conflicts that ended in disaster that being peaceful about would have helped?
And again I dont agree that everythig should be solved with violence aka Peace Movement by MLKJ 1960s.
@Eliot8989 Nobody's ever demanded that Christians be perfect in fact Christianity is based on the idea that nobody's perfects. What I think is reasonable is that Christian's grasp theiir own theology. You really want a complete list of war which where bad? That may take a while and is almost certainly beyond the range of 500+ characters.
@angrydead Well im only saying this due to your lack of patience with me not understanding what you wrote. lol but anyways... I dont agree with war , I dont like war , I just know that its necessary in more circumstances than peace is unfortunatly.
@Eliot8989 ...Basic Christian theology: 101 the only time war is acceptable is when it's in self defence-this is not a 'realistic' attitude but one based on the higher principles of a religion which holds itself to perfection. Pre-emptive wars are self-defeating and ultimatly impossible not in least becouse you might loose. Crowder seems to think war is a positive solution as opposed to a failure you defend him. He actively mocks those who support peace: reconcile this please.
WW1 yes. WW2 yes, since it would not have occurred without WW1. 9/11 definitely, no CIA involvement in Afghanistan = no taliban, no al queda. Saddam Hussein definitely, without western support he would have been deposed.
wow you are a idiot, ive done my research on the peace symbol for years and if you look for its true origins for more than a few minutes you will find the truth is exactly what he said.
YOU GUYS ARE THE ONES LYING HE IS TELLING THE TRUTH ABOUT EVERYTHING, if YOU WANT TO LIE TO YOURSELF BECAUSE YOU HATE JESUS, AND WANT TO GO TO HELL DON"T TRY TO TAKE ALL THESE OTHER PEOPLE WITH YOU. Everyone who wants to go to Heaven say this right now, Jesus is Lord, and I believe Jesus died on the cross for my sins, and arose from the dead, fill me with The Holy Spirit. It is clear in History that Nero did this, but He exposes the truth about living without Christ, so you want to ignore Him.
Peter didn't request to be crucified upsidedown. He asked to be crucified. Nero decided to put it upsidedown so that Peter would not die in the fashion as Jesus Christ.

He can't think.

I find it interesting as to how you consider his 25 seconds of a supposedly inaccurate talk about the peace symbol a "War on Peace".

yes, because putting the WORD BULLSHIT in front of someone speaking means you dont have to have any coherent arguments.

Dimachaerii 8 months ago 3
@Dimachaerii Okay, since you have studied this then I hope you could give me a scholarly source. So far the only sources I've gotten were from crackpot conspiracy websites.
antybu86 8 months ago 7
@antybu86 I would try biblical references and scholars to find out about Nero and his symbol. The man burned half of Rome persecuting Christians. Just as the hippies did in the '60, he blamed all violence on Christians. They did it for different reasons though. Nero was a murderer, and he sucked at military campaigns. Any time something went wrong; he blamed Christians. Hippies did it because apparently the person who does not tolerate violence is the source of the violence. Hippies...
Dimachaerii 8 months ago
@Dimachaerii There are no mentions of "Nero's Cross" in the Bible, so I'm not sure what you're talking about. Can you give me specific sources or not?
antybu86 8 months ago 8
@Dimachaerii Saint Peter ASKED to be cruxified upside down. He felt he wasnt worthy to die the same way as Christ.
The symbol of the upside down cross is not called "The symbol of broken christians."
It is the corss of saint peter.
It is not an anti christian symbol, it is a symbol of Christian humility.
It is also not "v" shaped.
Want proof that I am right?
The Popes THRONE has the cross of saint Peter on it.
Try learning about your religion instead of worshiping unfunny morons like Crowder.
funkydanieluk 7 months ago

Did you even look up Gerald Holtom?
hipstermi 6 months ago
@Dimachaerii
"I would try biblical references"
He asked for SCHOLARLY reference, not your book of magical powers.
But I'll play...show me WHERE in the Bible the it says Nero's Cross looked like a Peace Sign?
Now any art history book or web page can tell you the 1950s origin of the Gerald Holtom design (aka the "peace sign".)
Tell you what...google Gerald Holtom and get back to us here.
Fact is Crowder either lied or parroted right wing conspiracy theory. This is "bearing false witness"
hipstermi 6 months ago
@Dimachaerii Actually the cause of the fire is unknown. However at that time the majority of private, civil and government buildings were made of timber and the fire occured in July making its spread easier. Nero was the victim of many accusations due to his status. He went to rome immediatly upon hearing the news and used money of his own as well as his own praetorians to fight the fire.
grimblebrumble17889 5 months ago
@Dimachaerii To be more specific on a source, you could try googling Grady Brown and some of his work. @Cogitatio023 I assume your history book explicitly states Nero did none of those things. Or are you insinuating that my statements of fact are untrue because you have not heard them and disagree with them?
Dimachaerii 7 months ago
@Dimachaerii No, I disagree with you because you are wrong. The symbol you are talking about is not "Nero's cross" It is called the Toten-Rune,or Death rune it is a pagan symbol it represented death. The Waffen ss did use this symbol on there graves, but it has nothing to do with Nero,or the Christians. Also Nero never blamed war on Christians, nor did he burn Rome.
Cogitatio023 7 months ago
@Cogitatio023 Are you crazy?! One of the very things Nero is famous for is how he sat in his palace playing the fiddle while he burned half of Rome to dispose of Christians. He burned Christians at the stake claiming they were the cause of all war. And like I said, symbols' meanings will change upon context. A backwards "N" is the Anglo-Saxon letter "S". And it's also the curse mark on Harry Potters forehead... Crowder is pointing out that hippies used the symbol the same way Nero did.
Dimachaerii 7 months ago
@Dimachaerii Nero was not even in Rome when it burnt. There is also very little evidence to back up that he burnt Christians. Nero never used that symbol. Nero's cross dose not exists.Well I have yet to see any evidence of it.The lighting bolt is also a pagan rune for victory. I agree with Crowder on much of what he said, but he is wrong on his history.P.S If you know of any books, website or documents that show evidence of Nero's cross I would love to take a look.
Cogitatio023 7 months ago
@Cogitatio023 This website gives you a full cover of the people who made the peace symbol popular, what they used it for, and where they claimed it originated. Google "Illuminati News the peace symbol." As far as records of Nero's persecution of Christians, you can look at the work of Nestorius, and the Bible has many recordings of his persecutions. Also, Nero was not in Rome, but the story is always told that he played the fiddle. Poetically describing how he didn't care.
Dimachaerii 7 months ago
@Dimachaerii LOL Nero did not "play the fiddle" an instrument whose ancestor was not even around until the 9th century. That he was doing anything in particular mentioned by observers of the time while Rome burned is now doubted by any serious historian as being fact. Most stories are down to later invetive minds or those who had an agenda
DRDFOX 1 month ago
@DRDFOX We know that! I know that! The legend was that he fiddled. The actual belief of the people of Rome was that he sang of the fall of Troy while playing the lyre. Btw I thought the fiddle wasn't invented until 15th or 16th century? I could be wrong though. I'm tired of arguing facts, and trying to appease every little question; it's silly. For the love of doughnuts, do some research. People like Crowder and I don't make this stuff up. There are times we wish we were wrong.
Dimachaerii 1 month ago
@Dimachaerii Yes, you are right about the 15/16 century but I said "ancestor" of the insturment as in a similar bow played string device to aovid someone pointing this out. Corwder may not be making it up but he is rlelying on spurious sources.
DRDFOX 1 month ago
@Dimachaerii You're just romanticizing a historical fact. Nero was a crazy megalomaniac and burned Rome, because he wanted to build a large complex himself in the heart of the city. Therefore he needed a scapegoat, and by coincidende, the small sect that called themselves christians during that time had to do the job. He didn't care about the fact that they were christian as badly as you make it seem.
thatsmyrail 6 months ago
@thatsmyrail The building Nero wished to construct was called a pantheon. A temple dedicated to all the Roman gods. Also, the people of that time did not call themselves Christians. The Romans called them Christians, and it was meant to be derogatory. The Christians at that day actually called themselves "Followers". There was room Rome to build his pantheon elsewhere. It's almost like the mosque on ground zero. Nero killed the Christians then added insult to injury with the pantheon.
Dimachaerii 6 months ago
@Dimachaerii It was mainly a palace, called the Domus Aurea. I looked it up in my old latin course, and it states that it isn't even a historical fact that he burned Rome himself, but based on doubtful rumours. There isn't any sign of historical proof for it.
thatsmyrail 6 months ago
@thatsmyrail We know he gave the order for Rome to burn. The rumors that circulated were that he set the fire himself. Which we now know to be false. He claimed the Christians had started the fire. After all, the land he burned belonged to aristocrats. He'd have some questions to answer if they knew it was his fault. In ancient Rome it was legal to have your own personal army, if you could afford it. Hence the Roman civil war after Caesar was murdered.
Dimachaerii 6 months ago
Here's something interesting...the theory that the peace symbol was associated with the Nazis and the communists was first put forward by the John Birch Society, a radical far right group according to Wiki. Wiki also mentions one of the founding members of the JBS was Fred Koch, founder of Koch industries. Koch industries fund many of the right wing think tanks today, including the ones that pay the company Crowder works for, Pajamas media, a rightwing media group to air their views.

9VirtuesKeeper 8 months ago
@9VirtuesKeeper I am well aware of the rune you're talking about. Not only is the symbol you're talking about facing the wrong direction, but it also has no circle around it. So, essentially you have no reason to think that particular Rune has anything to do with the Peace Symbol than the letter "Y."
Besides, what the hell does that Rune have to do with Nazis and Nero?
antybu86 8 months ago 6
@antybu86 I'm pointing out your mistake on just ruling the symbol's similarities out as mere coincidences. Nero was the most anti-christian Roman Caesar and he did use them as scapegoats all the time, much like socialists do now days. Now go ahead and post that I said Nero was a socialist. Crowder points out the wrongs and hypocrisy of the "peace" movement mentality. Even tho' the matter of the symbol examples he used can be debated in detail, the message is correct and should be the focus.
9VirtuesKeeper 8 months ago
@9VirtuesKeeper
Wrongs and hypocrisy of the peace movement? Why because they use a symbol that has nothing to do with any of these other movements? Your grasping here bud. I suggest you take a step back and look at how pathetic your argument really is before you proceed to make a fool of yourself.

@Seleucus84 Pfft.. please.

The pagans also had a rune called the Toten-Rune,or death rune which looks like a peace symbol with out the circle. Tho it has nothing to do with the Peace symbol.
Cogitatio023 7 months ago
@Cogitatio023 Wrong. The counter culture movement of the 60's, even tho' powered by atheist marxism, had to have a nice, good, warm thingy feeling about it to survive scrutiny. Enter the spiritual side of it. It is born of neo-pagan believes. That is to make good strong pagan religions into earth mother, feminist, moral-less, spiritual guide to weak minds. Paganism of all sorts, even if not in its pure form (for it would be anti-socialist) did play a huge part in the mindless 60's mobs.
9VirtuesKeeper 7 months ago
@9VirtuesKeeper Could you state what I am wrong about?Every thing I stated are facts. There is no need to bring up atheism. The hippy movement had very little to nothing to do with pagan believes.
Cogitatio023 7 months ago
@Cogitatio023 You are wrong about the hippie movement having nothing to do with paganism. Paganism is completely opposite from 60s counterculture movement. Ancient pagans would absolutely HATE hippies. Specially since they say all paganism was homosexual-loving religions. Still, the hippie culture does take its spiritual part from their (wrong) perception of pagan believes. Earth mother, children of the sun crap. Old pagans would have declared war on hippies as soon as they came out of the mud.

@9VirtuesKeeper I do not disagree with you there.

You are sooooo twisting his words around in 2:20
And violence not just sometimes answers things needed to be answered but actually most of the time.

Eliot8989 9 months ago
@Eliot8989 I find that statement adorable considering you call yourself a Christian. Hell awaits you servant of Ares.
angrydead 9 months ago
@angrydead Well its a little extream to turn "violence solves more than peace" to "im a servent to pagan god of war".... Tell me would pacifists have stopped ww1, ww2, 9-11 , sudam huisane, American revolution, and really so much more?
Eliot8989 9 months ago
@Eliot8989 Crowder pretty much see's war as awesome he states so in the video, the Christian ideal is to avoid violence unless absolutly neccisary and even then it's implied we as humans have messed up by being in that situation. Usually the only war which is considered tolerable are wars of defence. Crowder not only relishes the idea of war and violence but mocks those who support peace, he's clearly worshipping the wrong god. Are you?
If memory serves no-one stopped 9/11
angrydead 9 months ago
@angrydead I believe in the only God. But you went over my question. When could pacifists have helped in those situations? And what if violence is what is necessary ,without any other chooses, more than peace?
Yes your right nobody stopped 9-11 ufotunatly, but I used the wrong word there. What I meant to put in there was how it was to be handled. But im not a fan of war at all I just know that in alot of instances (if not most) it is unfortunatly necessary.
Eliot8989 9 months ago
@Eliot8989 christianity is a higher calling not of the world of sin, you are occasionally expected to eat it for your faith. Unrealistic? perhaps but that's where 'faith' comes in. Their's also a big jump between war is occasionally neccisary to thinking it a 'solution', mocking those who strive for peace not to mention the fact he clearly relishes violence (he does more but let's not get drawn in here)
Unless you have a crystall ball trying to 'solve' situations with war is absurd.
angrydead 9 months ago
@angrydead Ok call me stupid but I didnt understand the first part of what you said.. And im not mocking im just bein realistic... Again I dont like war and I dont like people dieing. However to get out of most problems it requires some sort of force that probably wouldnt be considered peaceful.
Again to me your seeming to avoid the fact that violence not only helped those situation that I listed before but alot more that I didn list.
Eliot8989 9 months ago
@Eliot8989 If you don't get what I mean then I can't really take you seriously as a Christian.
You're missing the point you can't justify war on what may or may not happen unless you have the ability to percieve the future then stating "well ww2 was good" is a moot observation. What about the thousands of other conflicts which where a complete disaster?
angrydead 9 months ago
@angrydead Well nobody said Christians were perfect so im sorry I cat understand what you were trying to say there. What were these conflicts that ended in disaster that being peaceful about would have helped?
And again I dont agree that everythig should be solved with violence aka Peace Movement by MLKJ 1960s.
Eliot8989 9 months ago
@Eliot8989 Nobody's ever demanded that Christians be perfect in fact Christianity is based on the idea that nobody's perfects. What I think is reasonable is that Christian's grasp theiir own theology. You really want a complete list of war which where bad? That may take a while and is almost certainly beyond the range of 500+ characters.
angrydead 9 months ago
@angrydead Well im only saying this due to your lack of patience with me not understanding what you wrote. lol but anyways... I dont agree with war , I dont like war , I just know that its necessary in more circumstances than peace is unfortunatly.
Eliot8989 9 months ago
@Eliot8989 ...Basic Christian theology: 101 the only time war is acceptable is when it's in self defence-this is not a 'realistic' attitude but one based on the higher principles of a religion which holds itself to perfection. Pre-emptive wars are self-defeating and ultimatly impossible not in least becouse you might loose. Crowder seems to think war is a positive solution as opposed to a failure you defend him. He actively mocks those who support peace: reconcile this please.
angrydead 9 months ago
@Eliot8989
WW1 yes. WW2 yes, since it would not have occurred without WW1. 9/11 definitely, no CIA involvement in Afghanistan = no taliban, no al queda. Saddam Hussein definitely, without western support he would have been deposed.

Shame too. I aggree with him on most other issues. I guess noone is perfect, lol.
