I have one question. Why isn't Tracy's hair straightened? I know this might not seem like a big deal, but it kinda is. Her straightened, non-volumous hair at the end was a symbol of nonconformity in the 1988 version. They did it in the 2007 movie also (although the origin of why she straightened it wasn't included) but the smallest symbols can have a big impact, so why did the writers forget to include such an imperative one?

@PanicObsessed1993 i think that was done becuase the musical is all about BIG HAIR. Notice that all the women have over the top Hair styles for the finale. i think it would have looked odd for Tracy's Hair to be flat while everyone elses was teased up and huge. But i understand what you are saying =)

@PanicObsessed1993 This is obviously not a movie version, the reason they suggest in the 07 movie for straightened hair is that the hair deflates. In the stage version I guess they didn't see the need for it as most of the audience wouldnt get it anyway and it means another wig change has to be done as well as the complete costume change. Dont forget that stage Tracy differs from the 80s movie. On stage shes very with the mainstream of the 60s as seen by her bed with all the teen magazines etc
