The stem is part of their normal landing procedure. No big deal. The real problem is that Cubana's ground and flight crew. The very worst I have seen. Do your self a favor IF YOU WANT TO CONNECT TO ANOTHER FLIGHT IN MEXICO DO NOT USE THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE ALWAYS LATE. I TOOK THEM FOUR TIMES AND ALL TIMES WERE LATE. I MISSED MY FLIGHT TWO TIMES.
It's water vapor from the air conditioning system, due to the high humidity in the air. I've seen it happen on a brand new Airbus A320 in Cancun....it can really get hot and humid.
What I didn't like was that my shin bones below my knees were crammed into a horizontal metal bar in the back of the seat in front of me. It was somewhat worrisome...and I'm only 5'10"! Seating was tight but there were lots of crew members.
In this case, relax guys. It's just condensation form the vent system. My Car (2008 year model) tends to do that too on some mornings when it's hot here in Florida. It's not completely odd for it to happen in more humid climates. I'd imagine given the routes this flies through, this is completely normal.
cubana and air koryo of north korea basically have the same fleet of communist era airplanes. the smoke on these planes is actually dry ice that is used for the air conditioning system.
Some of the seats are torn too. Its like a school bus. My cousin flew on one that went to the Bahamas and they had a technical problem with one of the engines and instead of landing they flew back to Habana don't know if it was to avoid fees but he told me they were almost there.
I did get nervous when I saw the smoke but everybody plays it off like they don't notice it. You could tell they are wondering about to though.
I flew on that plane from havana to cancun, everything sounds on that airplane, looks like it has no lubrication, some lights dont work, when the landing gear is retracted it sounds as if it were breaking, i wonder if it actually had oxygen masks, the lifebest were like those on the titanic, but it was nice to travel in one. It is impressive how cuba still uses very old stuff, most of their aircraft dont comply the international safety standards.
You fly a 767 for American Airlines yet you misspell basic words, lack punctuation, sentence structure and you don't use upper and lower case letters properly? Oh and your profile says you're 19. Nice try.

I've seen this in the ducts of an Airbus A330 in SINGAPORE in NOVEMBER! You can see the 'smoke' travelling through its ducts.

with Cubana, Air Koryo and african airliners you can actualy go through all historical milestones of aviation in real life.

Guys, don't be ignorants !!! That "smoke" is the air conditioning. So simple.
FreeSupply 2 years ago 5
@FreeSupply
You're (probably) right. You can see it happening on A319s when the air conditioning first starts.
Also, I love the Yak-42!
