pretty awesome... no wonder u are playing alone.. dont think anyone wants to play with u cause ure too good! Lol... anyway having to respot balls yourself can be quite tiring .. :/
i text you few times about my grip that i have recently changed and i know u r busy or you might have missed my message, but once again my grip was so loose and when i changed it now i cant play snooker at all, can you explain plz when the last stroke comes, do we open the thumb and forefinger or just the last 3 fingers?
caz thumb and forefingers are ring , should they stay as a ring? or not? tnxxxxxxxxxx
i had been playing with an improper grip caz i was opening my last 3 fingers, and after 2 years someone told me i have to change my grip and now as i have changed my grip , i cant pot balls at all..... can you please help me, how tight should hold it, i mean how to squeeze for soft and hard shot,,,, i m just lost ,,,,,, my game is just ruined , plzzz, thank you
I actually played for the direct cut, I wasn't trying the plant, I was just looking to see where the white would hit the red to see how to hold it for the black. I cut the red in perfectly, no fluke, and I Was perfect on the black to the other corner... it was unlucky that the red came off two rails and hit the black, but lucky that it landed up on for the other corner.
brilliant! simple but excellent cue action, really gets through the cue ball. and as for the break of 155 (even if it was a deliberate free ball at the start), it was sheer brilliance! cheers!
everyone that makes comments about not respotting the green and gettin lucky with the black are just pure jealous!...u ask any pro player that any century,147, or 155 for this matter has at least 5 shots where u get lucky or get a run of the balls...this guy got 1 piece of luck thats incredible...the control of the white ball is top draw and to be honest this is some of the best snooker iv seen in a while...i am honoured to have watched this video and have learnt loads of tips from watching :)
wow. just, wow..for all of the imboscilles that dont know what the free ball rule is, potting the green counts as a red, and there was no issue with getting hte green out as it is practice and a waste of time to walk rund the table and get it out, the cue ball never interfered with the green spot so therefore no contact would of been made and therefore the green is STILL on its spot (evne though its in hte pocket at that time). well done dude. thats all there is to say.
thanks Luke.. can I call you Luke? anyway.. thanks... and I'm not bothered by people making negative comments... it's like... dur.. who cares... it's practise... of course if it were to really be the only 155 break on video, it would have to have been played in a match. Probably with a referee etc. Still... all I can say is... where are their videos of 155 breaks! ;-) If I get time to play again soon.. I'll make another this time with a referee and without forgetting to replace the green.
This is actually a 147 break and not a 155. Obviously the green at the start is a free ball, he then fails to respot the green therefore the following black is a foul and the break restarts with the first red, he then goes on to make a 147, not 155
@Tucky147 ur stupid!!!! If its a FOUL then he only scored ONE point and a foul 7 away.. haha you'd actually think that if your been that strict ud know that the rest of the balls dont count..
Great work furryboffin...dont mind these people trying to nit pick!!
I was wondering why he didn't break up the large cluster of red when potting the black a few times. He had very nice positioning on the black on a lot of shots to break up the large cluster of red, which he didn't and had to try his luck and fluked it in. Nice CB control nonetheless, very cool!
There was no need to break them up.. they were already quite nicely spread out. I just had to pick them off one at a time. Much higher percentage play than careering into the reds not knowing how you will end up!
@kingChin0 normally don't break up a cluster unless there aren't any free reds. He had reds at the bottom of the pack, and opened more up after potting them. He did fluke that "plant attempt" and got very lucky with the black position and red cannoning in. I didn't see any real reason to go into the pack through the entire break, a couple nicely played cannons, and pots, well done.
@MrDamaph I didn't attempt the plant, I played a direct thin cut on the red to the corner, was looking at the other red to see how to hold the while for position on the black to corner. unlucky that the red came back and cannoned the black, but lucky it landed on to the other corner.
Superb stuff man! Interesting that so many people get so upset about your video. What's that about?! I'd like to see how many here even making a century, with or without pressure.
im glad u did this on a snooker table so u wont get any peeps moaning at u saying y dont u do it on a full size 1 when u do your vids on your pool table
Just read some earlier posts on this so I guess it wasn't intentional to knock the black in to the right side! Would've have been shot of the milennium if it had been intentional!
of course its a fluke - lol - he tried to pot the plant - if he wouldve made the plant he'd been tight on the black - so he had amssive luck that the plant missed and came back to push the black towards the other corner pocket - definitely not just a "lucky green position" - anyway still some good stuff
I played the cut, I was unlucky that the two reads cannoned into the black cause I played for position on the black on the spot, but lucky that it finished potable after it was cannoned. so... unlucky + lucky = just Damn good! :)
Yes its a well played break, and yes the 2nd shot was a foul due to the green not being respotted, but......am I the only person that has paused this video when a ball is entering a pocket and noticed that the pockets are so huge that you could fit at least 2 balls (possibly even 3) side by side in the pockets without touching the sides??????
furryboffin grins a knowing smile and has a little chuckle to himself. :-) Thanks to all of you who made constructive comments. for those of you who are harder to please... let's see your videos. ;-)
it's so easy to do if you set up the balls where you want them (like this guy does) before you start!!! and you still nearly f****d up at 4:49 and got extremely lucky with the red and lucky kiss on the black!
anyone can pot balls on your own in practice. Do it when it matters, when theres pressure on your arsehole, Stephen Hendry was so cool under pressure.
Does anyone know if this is the only 155 break on video. I have searched the web for another but only found the end of a break by Jimmy White which he claimed was a 155. I'd like to see some more, since so many people here making comments are noting how easy it is to do this!!!
quality control of the white ball, the only thing i have to say is I play every week at my snooker club in northamptonshire and can't help to see i don't think you jawed one shot and a professional bobbles at least one shot on a 147 and the pockets look around twice the size of the ball but i still admire the cueball position because potting isn't the hard bit its the position. I am a very good potter and with position like this bloke i would go far
hmmm... I played the shot perfectly to cut the red in and hold the white on the second red, if you look, before the red comes back and hits the black, I Was in perfect position on the black. Some would say it was unlucky that the red came back and hit the black, then of course lucky that it landed in a potable position. So bit unlucky and a bit lucky makes normal right? ;-)
I'd also like to see the foul that resulted in this break ..what did you suddenly think to switch the video on then. Also 33 isn't too old to try ..reason you're not on tv is because you aren't good enough ..simple as.
Yeah ..nifty bit of deliberate foul ..you set this up. Not doubting that you can pot a ball ,very good, but there are loads of players who can do what you've done and it is just pratice after all. Willie Thorne claimed to have made more 147 breaks than anyone but he couldn't do one under pressure.
it does however seem a bit convenient you had a camera handy nd then could just "produce a 155" like tjat. you sre that table is right size? and u had no video editing software
I've played for 12 years now... never had reached a century before. Do you improve thru self practice or do you have a coach?
My highest break is 66 in self practice and had 30/40+ breaks in amateur-tournaments (tucked away at some part of the town :P). I don't play much nowadays.
I started playing snooker when I was 10. Played on and off till I was about 16, then started again at 18 and have played more or less constantly until now (33).
Hi, I'm 33. I've only played the world championships qualifiers once a few years ago, for fun, I won my first 2 matches, then lost 5-4 to Pete Rosco. but to be honest I've never really put any effort into practising hard and playing the challenge tour. I'd love to give it a go, but I'd need a sponsor to cover the costs of travel and entry fees etc.
Hi, I'd just like to say well done,,,,, BUT it was very convienient that the balls were so nicely spread at the start and the green over middle while you were behind the blue which is exactly the same as another of your video's! having said that we know it was all a set up but you still had to pot the balls into those HUGE pockets, your cueball control is pretty good though, How come that we don't ever see you on tv if you are so good?
the ball on is a red, but there was a foul and you cannot see a red so you can nominate the green as a free ball, it counts 1 point as a red, then a black makes 8 + 147 = 155
I cant believe all these arseholes slagging you off! - To get a 155 from a set up is an spectacular achievement - this is completely awesome.
Snooker has become so shit boring that i'd much rather watch this on you tube than the actual world championship.
It looks like a great way to practice break building.
Next time you should re-spot the black - toss a coin - call it right - double the black and that would be a set-up 162! - maybe that would be a bit silly - but i'd love to see it.
it was a good break but yet again another filmed 'set-up' theres not one video on here of a maximum where someone has actually developed balls from scrath. thats the difference between amatuers and professionals
hi there just want to say great break 155 nice one mate. i have add the odd 140 plus breaks but never a 155 ,nice break well pleased to watch. nice one.
snazzyali, the rules of snooker state that if there are no spots available ( for the black in this case ) then the colour should go as close as possible to its own spot and the break should continue.

lol u r cheater!!i marked the position of black ball with a pen on my screen at 6.36 when u potted that red next to the black. It clearly shows black ball point ws occupied by that red ball!! the break ends there!!!!
Does it matter if he has an opponent, he still showed us all hes capable of clearing a whole table and thats what counts. Not a very nice comment on ur behalf sobersagittarious.
u think ur r8 good u dont u but u say that ur mint to but on that other 155 on the pool table ur givin him shit so shut up because that was just as good as urs !!! hope ur doin well in ur pool but u must admit snooker is way better lol :D
It is most certainly a full size table... all twelve long feet! secondly... I am already a pro... but only in American pool. getting too old to play snooker at the top level now.
it wasn't a plant.. it was a thin cut back, I was looking to see where the white would hit the second red in order to hold for the black, unfortunately the third red came back and hit the black (from the perfect postion), luckily it landed in a potable position.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
This wasnt a 155 break. He never put the green back on its spot till after he potted the black. there for he made a break of one, the commited a seven point foul.
that shot at 4.47 is fantastic. wasnt sure what you were gonna do with it. you should really get yourself noticed in the world - you played with such confidence and ease and with some fantastic shots too!
You guys don't fucking talk about it . can you pot 147 with just a lucky black ? just ask yourself and give me an answer here .

I would rather get a 147 in tournement play as that is the maximum break possible to get paid. 155 doesnt count as a high break. Unlucky

nice job!
omidr 3 years ago
that was class. you said you were gettin on a bit for pro. snooker; how old are you? and have you played any of the qualifers before?
cliffhanley 3 years ago

Is this a full-size table?
ts4005 3 years ago
yes.. this is a full size table... 12 feet long, 6 feet wide. same as on TV.
furryboffin 3 years ago
This was amazing, are you professional?
msredimp 3 years ago
Hi, I'd just like to say well done,,,,, BUT it was very convienient that the balls were so nicely spread at the start and the green over middle while you were behind the blue which is exactly the same as another of your video's! having said that we know it was all a set up but you still had to pot the balls into those HUGE pockets, your cueball control is pretty good though, How come that we don't ever see you on tv if you are so good?
Amazingfeet 3 years ago
what the hell u on about, snooker pockets are notoriously difficult
DLPBurke 3 years ago
very nice :P
that nudge on the black at 4:51 was kinda lucky though :O unless you planned it, in which case i'm more in awe lol
hyourinmaru86 3 years ago
How is it possible to get a 155 break when the first ball you potted was a green.???
fratty123 3 years ago
free ball. you get an extra 7 off the first ball
Henry1993bc 3 years ago
the ball on is a red, but there was a foul and you cannot see a red so you can nominate the green as a free ball, it counts 1 point as a red, then a black makes 8 + 147 = 155
furryboffin 3 years ago
I cant believe all these arseholes slagging you off! - To get a 155 from a set up is an spectacular achievement - this is completely awesome.
Snooker has become so shit boring that i'd much rather watch this on you tube than the actual world championship.
It looks like a great way to practice break building.
Next time you should re-spot the black - toss a coin - call it right - double the black and that would be a set-up 162! - maybe that would be a bit silly - but i'd love to see it.

Fake....cheater....set up....STFU.
Try VERY talented. Excellent skills, beautiful cue ball control and wonderful potting.
gavpots 3 years ago
it was a good break but yet again another filmed 'set-up' theres not one video on here of a maximum where someone has actually developed balls from scrath. thats the difference between amatuers and professionals
thefrick1987 3 years ago

I have a John Paris Cue. I got it in about 1994. It's an extension of my right arm now.
furryboffin 4 years ago
very good, with the exception from the black ball ;)
anim4x 4 years ago
free bal green counts as a red, then balck and then the 15 reds and blacks makes a 155,
ravingeddie 4 years ago
why does u name same 155 snooker break? because the maximum is 147 write back
leadgateboy1 4 years ago
sorry to disappoint but... I did place it very carefully in the right place, and there was more than enough room to pot the red.
furryboffin 4 years ago
Clap Clap Clap! Very nice furryboffin. Though I can hardly imagine someone making a total clearance in shorts! haha..well done
moek5726 4 years ago
snazzyali, the rules of snooker state that if there are no spots available ( for the black in this case ) then the colour should go as close as possible to its own spot and the break should continue.
danielharris13 4 years ago
snazzyali....u need to see the rules realy! great player furryboffin, keep going! :D

lol u r cheater!!i marked the position of black ball with a pen on my screen at 6.36 when u potted that red next to the black. It clearly shows black ball point ws occupied by that red ball!! the break ends there!!!!
snazzyali 4 years ago
maybe you should read the rules before you go inventing them.
furryboffin 4 years ago

kyno91 4 years ago
It is most certainly a full size table... all twelve long feet! secondly... I am already a pro... but only in American pool. getting too old to play snooker at the top level now.
furryboffin 4 years ago
why dont u turn pro?
leedsunit3d 4 years ago
it is a 12ft table
leedsunit3d 4 years ago
That plant around 5 minutes is great! :)
Fantastic job, mate. Congrats!
RobertDeLima 4 years ago
it wasn't a plant.. it was a thin cut back, I was looking to see where the white would hit the second red in order to hold for the black, unfortunately the third red came back and hit the black (from the perfect postion), luckily it landed in a potable position.

This wasnt a 155 break. He never put the green back on its spot till after he potted the black. there for he made a break of one, the commited a seven point foul.
STREETPUNKDRUNKS 4 years ago
did the white interfere in the baulk area. no. good job
