correct, that is center street. WLE's tracks split as they come into Bellevue. On connects to the NS line going northeast into the yard where you got that shot, the other connects into the NS line southwest, just before the southbound line to Columbus and the westbound line to Fostoria separate
Believe me, I know all of that. They turned a couple NS units on the W&LE wyes when we were there. I had just missed the capability of getting shots of them though. :)
It seems as though the 'W Thomas Rice Special' unit, the 'Spirit of Waycross' and 'Spirit of West Virginia' have been loitering around Ohio lately. So keep your eyes pealed. CSXT 1 has been on the former C&O mainline for almost a month now running back and forth.
I missed getting CSX 601 (Spirit of Waycross) on video, which was why CSX 1 (Spirit of West Virginia) was accelerating, he had to wait on the train with 601.
My friends and I were worried that the oncoming train was going to get here first, as both CSX trains involved in the meet were stopped moments earlier waiting for NS 306. Luckily, the westbound, X381, arrived first. AC6000CW's are good at accelerating.
Thanks. Sometimes I can't catch the symbols though, either the conductor calling the symbols mumbles incomprehensibly, or I just don't pick it up on my scanner. Glad you like my videos though! :)
well all i can say is once again dude great video as always!!! nice K3LA Horn on the W&LE!! wow a high hood SD 40 or SD 50!! nice catch with the ex: conrail unit on it!
Nice K5LA on CSX GEVo 589 and CSX GEVO 5107

I agree, but both engines you mentioned are AC4400CW's, not GEVO's.

It has the newer K5LLA (?) that is used on all new GEVO's. I don't think it is sick or out-of-tune.

I hate those High Hood GP 38-2 horns. One blow just scares the living crap out of me!!
gomichiganrailmst3k 3 years ago
I agree about the horns sounding kind of lame, but those were SD40-2 high noses, for the correction.

I've seen 601 twice in two days through Berea this past couple weeks!

I love how you show the symbol and the time. Such a simple thing that so few people do. Keep it up man! Awesome!

All three were former N&W EMD SD40-2 high noses. Those things live between Toledo, Bellevue and Fostoria it would seem. :)
