If my fish is re-sold then the profit has to be registered as new credit again (added value).

Also, every time I get paid by my boss for my work I would need to declare new money being created once all my spendings for the period have been deducted?

Self Issued credit is a very interesting idea and makes much more sense than our current system. As far as I understood this is a sort of digital barter. It will pretty much do away with banking system and will directly reflect the value of the productivity. However the question that still lingers in the back of my head is following: How do assign value to digital coins relative to real world commodities and make them interchangeable?

Perhaps the digital coin could have a value of 1. In this case the perceived value of commodities could be expressed as digital coins.

All it takes is for someone to give you a credit in digital coins... and it is the same old game.

It could only work if DigCoins represent the current value of your commodities? You give away your commodities and obtain new ones and the DigCoins would reflect that accordingly?

It won't work.

@gespilk That is exactly what bothers me. As good of an idea DigiCoins is, who or what is going to be responsible for translating ACTUAL commodity value (incl. production labor, materials, etc.) into to the DigiCoin value. I mean you have to admit that the Ferrari that your neighbor owns is not 1 to 1 to the couch that you sit on. And this system will still require trust and honesty to work properly in this respect. So I don't really see how this can work with our current mentality.
