  • has anyone ever tried to break the first verse down in the flow chart? FUCKING RIDICULOUS...

  • Love this classic cut!

  • refreshing! FREESTYLE FELLOWSHIPs *inner city griots* is one of the best slept on hip hop joints ever! it came out in the early90's and was a refreshing alternative to the redundant, commercial/mainstreem gangsta ish that everyone seem's to think defines west coast hip hop! .......check out ACEYALONE (all balls dont bounce) & THE NONCE (world ultimate) theres lots of superfresh underground west coast hip hop that came out in the mid-late 90's that was slept on! -dont sleep!

  • Spectral analysis, brass palaces

  • old school fire

  • Anyone know where i can get the 1st 19 secs and if its on youtube

  • HAHAHAHAHA WHAT FAGGITS, THESE NIIAGGAS THINGYS THEY'RE ALL HARDSCORE BUT THEREJUST PUSSIES AND FAGGITS!!! DEATHCORE IS WAAAAAY MORE BRUUUTAL!!!!

  • Grew up at Good life/Project Blowed and this Song in Particular is what started my underground love! I heard it on Hip hop hotline(G-money) and literally went searching for these dudes. Big ups Project Blowed!

  • Is that Terry Crews next to Myka?? lol

  • Is that Terry Crews next to Myka??

  • SHIT THIS IS THAT SHIT NGA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This song is completely different after smoking a good amount of cannabis beforehand... damn.

  • GOLDEN CLASSIK!

  • One word.....AMAZING!!

  • Does anyone remember what skateboarding video this song was in?

  • @AfroSulfur 411vm, issue 25, Becker Shop!! love it!!

  • @AfroSulfur I can't remember which company it was but I think it was a birdhouse video. I know that it is on one of the 411 video magazine editions and I wanna say that it was the 25th. anneversary edition.

  • Keep comming back to this one -- probably one of the best Hip Hop tunes EVER...

  • @MrPiccolop The song is so ill.

  • Such a brilliant and under rated album...

  • Is anybody listening to what they are saying? He who has ears let him listen. Up Up and away in ufo's. Thats what they think is going to happen to them who are decieved by the enemy. If you listen well you can see that these dudes are witches. Nobody can rap this good.

  • HEAVY DUTY. . .

  • Classic.

  • I get chills when the chorus repeats the message, "up and away...." And that guitar sample has to arguablly be the best sample use I have ever heard... It gives me chiils everytime I hear it... Almost to the point where the hairs on my arm stand straight.....

  • def a classic..hard to find too. I lived in LA round that time, in between Good Life Cafe, Limert Park, Bigga B (R.I.P) underground Shows...Pioneers no doubt!!!!either you can feel this vibration or not...whats your frequency?

  • looks like one person was ill advised

  • Yes.........thats all I can really even think to say.

  • Loose Seal

  • george duke billy cobham band, sample in the beginning

  • Sick man! Classic, back when hip hop was poetic...

  • 33k 1 dislike shows how ownage these are haha

  • That one dislike is the pimple on the ASS that is America.

  • lil wayne was the only person to dislike this vid

  • @gr82bn8 He likes it too :D

  • These guys are good at saying Sally Sells Seashells By The Seashore, I bet.

  • Only real headz know of the FF. If you think Living Legends is underrated and unsung by pop culture then FF is beyond underground. They're underneath the earth's crust.

  • Quality. I first heard this on 411 video magazine in the 90's.

  • i kno i must sound stupid,, but ive been wondering for a while now if this is really freestyle? i mean their name implies it, but it's soo complex and flowing..

  • @fuckthewmg1 its not freestyle. However FF built a fan base freestyling at The Good Life Cafe. This song had a huge influence on hip hop that continues to this day. It was probably the first song that uses the free flowing style and it changed the flow of rap from the 80s to the 90s sound.

  • yo who sampled this? i kno anothere mc sampled the chores(0choures) how ever its spealld

  • Likin that George Duke intro.

  • Dope!

  • So when's the new album droppin?

  • Fresh......love the production.

  • MYKA MYKA MYKA! just plain raw

  • GOTTA SAY SEEING MYKA GET DOWN TO THIS SONG AT SHOWS IS STILL THE BUSINESS, ESPECIALLY AFTER THE EACH VERSE BREAKS.......SICK!

  • thanx for positive comments :) new tunes out soon :)

  • who remembers the good life and elements? ahhhh memories of the underground.

  • the 1st part of the track is the best, too bad they didnt use that the whole way...

  • @850iStyle sorry man but you got NO idea what your talking about kid

  • @guitar16 Interesting that you would respond to me as "man" and "kid" simultaneously. Seems as though you have a tenuous grasp of the English language. Begone!

  • @850iStyle c'mon kid stick to the subject. trying to divert my point wont work. one love man...see i did it again...mah inwish bea turible huh? psht

  • all ff is true classic, with all the hyped 'oldschool' hip hop you hear everywhere today u never hear the realdeal...all taste varies, but how can anyone think they know what real flow is without loving this...even the newer stuff is dope & still innovative(havent kept up w/much hiphop in past 5 yrs tho)...WEST COAST!!!

  • Their music was too "jazzy", too complex for the average audience. There aren't many people that give a song those chances, listen to them several times to understand them. I once had this 20 year old girl, that told me, she needed some new music. I handed a song of Mulatu Astatke to her. Her answer was: No, I want REAL MUSIC. I was like wtf. But most people are like this. They don't give complex music a chance to grow on them. And miss out some of the greatest things in the universe.

  • @Kochasiech Stab everybody who says that c:

  • Listening to this for the 4th time in a row back to back to back to back now...

  • im ok your ok im ok your ok just remember death is coming

  • Man this shit goes so ! Hard!!! I first heard it on wkcr ! NYC the stretch and bobbitto! Show 89.9!! Dope sample!!! Sick lyrics!!!!! The song is like 40 yrs ahead of it's time!

  • Or it's all myka??

  • @mattavocado Its all Myka.

  • Can someone enlighten me on the order of the verses please?

  • the guy second from right reminds me of Terry Crews

  • I AM

  • @squarecracker agreed

  • And right here is when it began happening in hip hop as a whole, all over again.Whenever I hear this tune,I'm overjoyed enough to tear up.I have had extraordinary experiences listening to Michael's incomparable ape shit over this unbelievable track.Made us ones in Chicago love them unconditionally. And that's the truth. And nobody ever accomplishes "sounding" like them.

  • 411 issue #25. Becker Industry section....classic.

  • I was just thinking of that in the shower, which prompted me to check out this video again. 411 always had the best music.

  • Anyone know the sample???

  • CLASSIC!!!

  • haha wow i forgot about these guys, this is sick ***** very underrated 4 sure.

  • @chinita41 this trak takes me to another time when hip hop was HIP HOP!!!

  • This is very much like Souls of Mischief.

  • souls of mischief sound like freestyle fellowship

  • and those 2 groups should hook up with The Pharcyde and make one giant posse album ;D

  • @Agenda1988 word. souls of mischief, the pharcyde and freestyle fellowship should all become one massive muthafuckin group, much like the boot camp clik and wu-tang. how epic would that be. thanks for posting this track up homie, definitely epic

  • That'd be weird though. Did you ever hear the demo version of Passin Me By? They were doing the Fellowship style, down to a T. Bordering on biting...

  • But the Pharcyde and FF have been friends for a while. They all used to hang out a the Pharcyde Manor around 92-94.

Search for "Fat Lip Influences" where he talks about that stuff.

  • @ratm1211 Yeah but it's like... You know how everybody jumped on Tribe & De La, and the JBs sort of got left in the dust? It's beginning to seem like that's becoming the case for FF and Pharcyde. No disrespect to Pharcyde or Souls, or any of that. It's just... Hmmm....

  • they came out at the same time well ff was out it 91 but in 93 -94 souls came out, pharcyde and ff and they had that vibe I was bumping all their shit. they have performed together though as far as shows atleast souls and pharcyde have.

  • @Agenda1988 that would be the ultimate cali hip hop album.

  • @Agenda1988 Pharcyde has hooked up with the fellowship. There is video on youtube of them rhyming together. Pharcyde loved fellowship back in the day.

  • @Agenda1988 now that would be a show for the century!!!!! the energy of that show would probably bring in world peace hahaha cuz i know for sure that show would bring nothing but positive love and energy

  • @Agenda1988 or Organized Konfusion

  • @streetsampras Freestyle Fellowship battled souls of mischeif and casual and served them. Casual had to wear a freestyle fellowship shirt on his next video which was on I didnt mean to. They sound nothing alike. I know this album came out around 1990 or 1991 but I heard this song in 1989

  • @mrtubby47 i was replying to someone who said 'they sound like souls of mischief'. FF over Souls everyday, they pioneered that west coast alt sound.

  • is there a recording of that battle? i bet it was legendary. i seen that video a lot and just now noticed the album cover he had on his shirt thanks to you. @mrtubby47

  • haha when have Souls ever spit like this? Myka is on a different level. I think he's an alien haha.

  • damn takes me back to junior high

  • How had I never heard this track before? This is intence. My head is decently fucked after just trying to transcribe and decipher the 1st verse

    Nines is The Modernday Shakespeare!

  • this is awesome

  • check out the movie documentery , " this is the life " a good movie that gets down and breaks it all down ! freestyle fellowship !

  • watch Freestyle: the Art of Rhyme aswell, its awsome

  • 6000 views on one of the sickest songs ive ever heard... doesnt make sense

  • id rather have it have this much views than being burnt out

  • god damn this shit pretty sick

  • @sarmiento2008 .... YOU ARE ON.... THE OIL SPILL IN THE GULF ...REV 8;1 TO 8;9

  • @sarmiento2008 i listened to this when i was growing up at the age of 12 then at 24 i started getting into conspiracies and NWO and all that shit and now im finding the old hip hop i grew up with was hinting that shit the whole time....i didnt know what some of the shit was when i first heard it. Kind ghedora and mf grimm did no snakes alive and i just found out that they were hinting towards some crazy illuminati shit to
