Just watched American Rabbit... the last and only time I watched it, I was probably 8 years old when I caught it on Showtime. Soooo many hints at racism and communism that I just didn't get as a kid. Also the Superman musical motifs.
@Obelisk26 same here, but I do also like Sam Riegel because he did Barry a lot of justice. I do want to meet Barry, but I do get to meet Sam again in a few months
He ALSO played "Beaver's" friend, "Chopper", on "Leave it to Beaver". Remember, he had to leave Beaver's house early, b/c his mom was getting the "weepies" , all alone at home? I remember him from the film "A Thousand Clowns", w/ Jason Robards, as "Nick", the gifted little boy who lived with him.
I've been watching SWAT Kats back then when it aired on Cartoon Network - I kinda grew up on that. I must say it rocked, it was the single most awesome cartoon series I've ever saw. My favorite character was of course Razor/Jake. So yeah, that makes you, Barry Gordon my hero in a way.
I see that Barry Gordon still has that nerdy voice he uses as Donatello from Ninja Turtles, and Jake Clawson/Razor from Swat Kats. That's what I like about him anyways. Anyways, Donatello was my absolute favorite ninja turtle and Razor was my favorite Swat Kat.
I just finished watching the film. That is what brought me here. Barry Gordon was very familiar to me while I watched. So I had to search to see were else I had seen him. I think I remember him from "Fish" I had never heard of the film but Jason Robards is always worth checking out. I agree that it is agreat movie
Mine too...I loved them all, but Don was my favorite. He reminded me somewhat of myself - quiet, introspective, a book lover, and very scientifically minded. I identified with Don the most of all 4 turtles.
So many voice actor fans here!

@Shard113 Well, if you're interested I'm trying to get the SWAT Kats relaunched. Not much progress so far but things have just started.
manifoldspace 1 year ago
@manifoldspace wow, that would indeed interest me. Also, how are you planning to do so?
Shard113 1 year ago
@Shard113 Well, I'm not entirely sure how I'm going to do it yet, but I'll stay determined and try to find a way.

For us real old-timers, we remember him for his novelty Christmas song "(I'm Gettin') Nuttin' for Christmas" from back in the 1950's.
