  • you should get a shorter barrel

  • proof that gun control laws need revision

  • you dont need a rifled barrel as long as you have a modified or more open it will work just fine

  • Ten bucks says this joker shot his buddy because that shit is loaded! Haha these guys........um...........suck. I hope they live on the eAst coast!

  • You do not need a rifled barrel to shoot foster type slugs...

  • i must be more than poor bc i can't afford that haha

  • YOU CAN FIRE THE SLUGS, they work fine, they are rifled slugs they have groves on them. you dont need a different barrel.

  • It's very simple people.

    Rifled slug = Smoothbore

    Sabotted round = Rifled barrel

Do not fire the other way around, you can possibly damage you shotgun and hurt yourself...

  • @wtfdudenotcool101 sabot rounds can be used with a smoothbore barrel if you have a rifled choke.

  • @stangsaleens7 You lose alot of accuracy and pay more than twice as much for ammo and possibly damage your barrel if you're using an older shotgun.

    What's the point again?

I can get 2 inch groups with my rifled slugs at 75 yards. That would increase to about 7 with sabots and maybe come back down to 5 with a rifled choke.

Not worth it in my opinion.

  • @wtfdudenotcool101 Sabot rounds also pack a bigger punch... Im not saying thats what everyone should be using but its a option... And my rifled choke tube from winchester says its for sabot rounds only. There for i use sabot rounds, plus alot of people tell me they are much better.

  • @stangsaleens7 Then you haven't used Brenneke rifled slug bear killers. They will literally chop logs in half and are 2 inch accurate in my M1014 up to about 100 yards.

Not as accurate as my AR15 but they will kill any creature that walks the planet.

Like I said before you can use sabots but you sacrifice accuracy, pay over twice as much per round and honestly Brenneke 3 inch bear slugs are the strongest slug on the planet as far as what Ive shot.

    I've shot lots of sabots...

  • 1993 called they want there bum shirt back.

  • The slug itself is rifled, if you get a rifled barrel then you can't use the other ammo with it. Maverick 88 is a decent and CHEAP shotgun too, most of the parts are interchangeable with the Mossberg 500.

  • Dude, WTF is up with your muzzle control? Why don't you just shoot your buddy and get it over with? You'll feel better knowing you did it intentionally and not with a avoidable AD.

  • At least your vids are comical and not boring, regardless of how incorrect some of the contents and statements are.

You do not need a rifled barrel for rifled slugs.rifled slugs are designed for smooth bore barrels. It is preferable to only use a choke labeled "cylinder" or "cyl" ,do not ever use a "full" choke with slugs or buckshot.

    Stay safe and have fun!

  • God bless the tea party. Hey it's good to see that another young person other than myself is aware of what's happening.

I just bought a Remington870 express magnum for $200. It only holds 4+1 rounds. Where and how can I make it hold more rounds? Is there any drum magazines available for my gun? Please respond.

  • @MrBowles760 Tube extensions! it will expand it to 7+1. but you have to check you tube first for little dimples that stop shells from moving through, and file them down or get them out some other way. the only way to make your shotgun accept magazines would be to do some major gunsmithing, i would make sure to get a professional to do it, but it would be vastly more expensive than getting a $10-$30 tube extension.

  • @MrBowles760 Look up shotgun magazine extender some hold up to ten and don't cost much. You will have to drill or use a tool to knock out two dimples in the magazine tube

  • @chris022682 unless you have an LEO model ;)

  • better survival + hunting + sniping + war weapon: mosin nagant

  • i saws you roll onto that dogshit

  • i dont think u should be handling that weapon

  • your a fucking dumb shit and 95% of what you said in this vid is incorrect about the only thing you got right is that it is a shotgun congratulations

  • Rifled slugs are for smooth bore shotguns. Sabot slugs are for shotguns with a rifled barrel. The 870 is the work horse of all pump guns. Over 10 million have been made. Nice video. Thanks.

  • Make more videos! I like your sense of humor. People take things too serious and can't see humor but I see it and that is all that matters.... Me

    Haha

Hope to see more videos soon!

  • You're a idiot.

  • If you have a rifeld barel you can not shoot bird shot or buck shot

  • I enjoyed your videos last year, then I lost my computer. Got another and found you guys haven't made a video in a long time. Are you gonna make any more? I'm sure I'm not the only one who liked your light approach to survival instruction.

  • Dude, rifled slugs are for smooth bore barrels, sabot slugs are for rifled barrels...

  • you should swap out the barrel for the 18in

  • thats not an ideal home defense shotgun with that big ass barrel

  • ...

  • Cut the barrel

  • don't get a rifled barrel for your shotgun!!! the slugs you were talking about were rifled slugs that means that the rifling is on the slug and you don't need a rifled barrel + if you get a rifled barrel, when you shoot bird shot and 00buck the spread patten will be larger meaning that if you try and shoot longer distance's with bird shot and 00buck the pellets will dissipate putting less pellets on target.

  • @zombucated01 Actually, you dont shoot rifled slugs through a smooth barrel because it scratches it. and you dont shoot bird shot and buck shot through a rifled barrel not because you get less bb's on target but because it destroys and misshapes the rifling. You only shoot rounds with barrels and chokes they were meant for. thats the #1 thing you should know about shotguns. otherwise, you're gonna be fucking up alot of barrels.

  • Rifled slugs are made for shotguns because the shotgun is smoothbore. The only thing I would be worried about is shooting slug through a shotgun that has a bird hunting choke on it or something like that.

  • @MorteWulfe I had a friend that did that with his mossberge. Put a big ass dent inside his barrel. lol

  • 1st ones to die

  • get a glock 17 3rd gen if you go with any kind of glock don't go with the newer 4th gen. i got my glock 17 3rd gen new for $450 2 mags and tridium sights. really nice gun with a good feel and reliable as hell, you can throw these in the mud and it will still fire. great gun.

  • Rifled slugs are designed for use in smooth bore barrels, it's only smooth and sabot slugs that require a rifled barrel

  • i have the same gun and stock but i cut the barrel down.. you need to bad and buy a railed fore grip and throw a light on that bitch.. and you dont need a rifled barrel to shot rifled slugs in fact your not supposed to mix the two

  • Hey Dude , The rifled slugs are fine as long as your barrel does not have a full choke or full choke tube in it. I have shot many out of mine ,with an open bore they are far more accurate than the old wives tales would have you to believe. You can streatch them way beyond 100 yards. A one ounce slug is a hardcore round on larger game ,but for home defence I use #4 turkey magnums. I prefer them to buchshot as well. Great job

  • barrel looks too long

  • Who said you can't hunt with a pistol.

  • Consider getting a shorter barrel

  • for a good pistel s&w 38 sp

  • that tacticool roll was baller

  • get a glock 17 you will love it and it goes great with 870 because when you run out shells you have seventeen rounds ready to kill

  • does anyone have an 18 inch barrel that they would be willing to sell or trade? thanks

  • To address a couple of things... 1) firearms are weapons. Treat them as such. 2) keep it simple. Remove everything that can go wrong and frilly from the gun. Keep a basic stock and not what looks cool. 3) it's not how many rounds you can carry in the gun, it's your ability to put the shot on target and cycle through reloads: training. 4) Yes you can hunt with a pistol. Ex: FL state law requires you to use a min of a .40cal bullet. 5) Change that barrel out to a 16" - too long for Hm Def.

  • Check out the Walther line of pistols....super thin.....I beleive by Smith & Wesson!

  • Are you guys gonna make any more videos? I love the light but informative style you have.

  • to save cash, try a rifled choke vs barrell. they retail for around 40bucks. google performance, u will find they are not to bad.

  • Rifled Slugs Are For Smooth Barrels

  • Cut You Barrel Down

  • You CAN hunt with a pistol, it just takes a little bit of patience, kind of like with a bow. The reason a lot of people use shotguns as Selfdefence items, is because of all the hype the industry has created. Anything a shoty can do, a rifle can do with just a little more accuracy(the rifle does).

  • lol, like ur vid hope u do more

  • you can shoot slugs through a smooth bore with no problems except hitting the target that is

  • @cbr6864 yeah cuz it will just shoot out to the side right? the rifled barrel puts a spin on it and keeps it straight?

  • @EleventhHourEmpire im guessing your trying to be a smart ass. only certain slugs "must" be shot from a rifled barrel. if you shot a slug from a smooth bore the slug will tumble.

  • @cbr6864 I don't get what you're saying. I'm saying you need a rifled barrel to fire slugs, because the grooves inside the barrel will make the slug spin forcing it to fly straight. If you have a regular barrel the slug just shoots out crazy like when you don't know how to throw a football.

  • @EleventhHourEmpire and the guys at cabelas didn't tell me that when I purchased the slugs along with my shotgun, they knew it wasn't rifled, but they let me buy the slugs anyways.

  • @EleventhHourEmpire a rifled barrel must shoot a smooth slug therefore the expanding smooth slug will fit into the grooves of the rifle and then spin at the ratio set by the rifiling of the barrel. A smooth barrel can shoot a rifled slug. I have shot plent of 12g rifled slugs from my mossberg 500 Persuader model just fine. It'll kick like a mean mule, but when I make center sections of pallet wood disappear: its worth it.

  • reconsider your choosing not to go with a rifle. you can find a hand gun and rifle that will fire common ammunition and be able to use a far more functional self defense weapon in the hand gun (say a .357) and the hunting variability, distance, and accuracy of a rifle (the same .357 rounds). not to mention, in the event that you get the drop on a known enemy, the taking them out at 100 yards is much better than facing them at 10 yards with a shotgun or even pistol. looking forward to more vids!

  • @christjewells a 357 magnum would be so slick, and I do want to get a rifle, so I'll keep that in consideration. I didn't know you could swap ammo between pistols and rifles.

  • @EleventhHourEmpire gotta make sure you match them properly. it usually isn't as effective to use handgun ammo in rifles (since the jackets tend to get longer for rifles, for higher velocities) but you're not trying to be a sniper out there, just killing two birds with one stone... maybe literally. but there are rifles that even fire 9mm, but really... people get hit with 9mm rounds and keep running (even toward you). you don't want that happening in a self defense situation.

  • go with a Glock 19, not the cheapest, but not the most expensive.

  • @formatC2 Everybody is always talking abot the glock's. I'll have to check them out.

  • @EleventhHourEmpire

Hey, Check out Armalites pistols, 550 for a full sized 9mm with a 15 round mag.

  • @EleventhHourEmpire yo check out the S&W Sigma series. (9mm & .40) you can get the 9mm for a bit under 300. depending on where u live. I love mine.

  • @EleventhHourEmpire Fuck glock.

  • LOL how can you survive the big bad world if you cant survive rough housing in your own front room? You need to get a foot ball helmet and stretch out that neck!

  • Lol nice video...your probably going to get some gun safety commits ...I wait for them there coming

  • get a tauras 24/7 great gun and cheap i got mine for $315 new grips well. hi round cap17+1 9mm and never never never fails to shoot. it is as reliable as any glock. iv had it for about 7 years and have fired about 15000 rounds through it with no failer jams or missfires and that is with a mix of ammo +p cheap range ammo of the shelf and hand loads. but some down side the trigger is a bit long and heavy for some people and i didnt like it at first but it grew on me. and no mods for it. thanx

  • @MrSaber152 was it used or new for that much?

  • @EleventhHourEmpire it was new but on sale. ive seen many go for less the $400 though. and it is a tank look up som vids of it.

  • @MrSaber152 I have to second this. I have the extended barrel on mine. I think I paid around $345 for mine brand new. The gun is beefy, but built like a tank. If you wanna go up to about $365 the Ruger SR9 is a drop dead sweet gun too.
